It is envisaged that it will be easier to install the legs in this way for the reason that the intercalated connectors 24 and 30 will be visible from above and it will be a simple matter to align the legs correctly for the pegs to be pushed downwardly into the associated, tapering passages.

Abstract

L'invention concerne un sommier démontable (10) qui peut être assemblé rapidement et sans outils dédiés ou sophistiqués à partir d'un état démonté. Le sommier démontable (10) comprend deux panneaux latéraux (12) qui sont espacés sur le bord pour former des côtés opposés d'un sommier assemblé, et deux panneaux d'extrémité allongés (14) qui sont espacés sur le bord pour former des extrémités de tête et de pied opposées du sommier assemblé. Pendant l'assemblage, les panneaux latéraux et d'extrémité sont réunis pour former un cadre de sommier rectangulaire. Des connecteurs (24, 30) sont fixés à des extrémités opposées de chacun des panneaux d'extrémité et latéraux et sont agencés pour faire saillie vers l'intérieur et adjacents les uns aux autres dans chaque coin (36) du cadre. Pour chaque coin du cadre, se trouve un pied (16) portant une cheville (44) fonctionnellement verticale. Lesdites chevilles peuvent être insérées dans des ouvertures alignées verticalement (38, 40) dans les connecteurs des planches latérales et d'extrémité respectives de manière à relier les connecteurs, et par conséquent les panneaux latéraux et d'extrémité, les uns aux autres au niveau de chaque coin, le cadre étant alors soutenu sur les pieds au niveau de ses coins. L'invention concerne également une structure de support de matelas (18) qui peut être posée sur le cadre rectangulaire et soutenue par ce dernier.
