Description

MIXING DEVICE FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to devices for mixing a liquid phase with a solid phase in a powder form, and more specifically, to devices for milk powder in water.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
Domestic milk mixing devices typically have one or more agitation elements to be immersed in the milk and mechanically driven. A general aim may be to ensure uniformly dissolving milk powder in water as fast as possible.
WO2014024126 discloses a milk frothing device comprising: (a) a lid assembly; (b) a stirrer assembly comprising a stirrer handle, a cantilever, a baffle frame, and a stirrer; and (c) a cup body assembly comprising a cup, a cup bushing which surrounds the cup, a driving magnet which is opposite to a stirrer magnet of the stirrer and a driving motor which drives the driving magnet. The stirrer handle is connected to the baffle frame by the cantilever. The stirrer handle is positioned on the cup bushing. The stirrer comprises a stirrer magnet to be driven by the driving magnet of the cup body assembly. The stirrer assembly is positioned automatically by the magnetic effect between the stirrer magnet and the driving magnet. WO2014024126 is incorporated by reference herein in its entirety.
Long-term usage of the devices of this type results in stubborn contamination of a internal surface of the cup body. The device has to be withdrawn from exploitation and cleaned. Thus, there is a long-felt and unmet need to provide a self-cleaning mixing device based on creating a water vortex within the cup body.
