- Cement mortar is a mixture of cement and sand mixed with an appropriate amount of water.
- tile cement mortar is used for final finishing of the inside, outside, ceiling and floor of a building.
- additive composition for enhancing properties such as viscosity, .
- Cellulose ether is widely used in various fields such as architectural additives, cosmetic stabilizers, thickeners for household articles, and organic binders because it is excellent in thickening ability, water retention, adhesiveness, dispersibility and nonionic stability as typical thickener for natural materials .
- the thickener In tile cement mortar, the thickener is used to prevent segregation of material, extend working time, and maintain moisture required for hardening cement as main material.
- a sufficient open time can not be ensured, there is a problem in that the efficiency of work is lowered due to the dropping of the tile or adhesive due to insufficient bonding strength or the shortening of the workable time.
- One embodiment of the present invention provides additive compositions for tile cement mortar comprising cellulose ether and urea.
- Another embodiment of the present invention provides a tile cement mortar comprising the additive composition for the tile cement mortar.
- the content of the urea is 5 to 43 parts by weight based on 100 parts by weight of the cellulose ether.
- the cellulose ether may include hydroxypropylmethylcellulose, hydroxyethylmethylcellulose, hydroxyethylethylcellulose, hydroxyethylcellulose, or a combination thereof.
- the cellulose ether may not contain methyl cellulose.
- the viscosity of the cellulose ether aqueous solution having a concentration of 2% by weight may be 8,000 to 100,000 mPa ⁇ s at 20 ° C and 20 rpm as measured by a Brookfield viscometer.

- open time refers to the longest time to apply a tile after the tile cement mortar is applied to a work surface
- criterion is the tensile adhesion of the attached tile cement mortar strength is in accordance with ISO 12004.
- pot life means a period of time in which the mixed tile cement mortar is kept usable for application to the work surface.
- tile cement mortar is used in two different meanings depending on the situation.
- One of them means that the additive composition for tile cement mortar, the cement and the aggregate are dry- It means that the bibim is mixed with water and kneaded.

- the urea is a colorless and odorless granular crystal having the formula CO (NH 2 ) 2 .
- the urea has a high solubility in water and exhibits an endothermic pattern in the process of dissolving in water, thereby delaying the hydration of the cement which is an exothermic reaction.

If the content of the additive composition for tile cement mortar is less than 0.1 part by weight with respect to 100 parts by weight of the cement, the addition effect is insignificant. If the amount is more than 10 parts by weight, not only the workability is deteriorated but also the adhesive strength is decreased .
- the cement may be hydraulic cement such as Portland cement, fly ash cement, aluminum containing cement, or the like, and color cement may be used.
