Abstract

An apparatus for dispensing and mixing liquids in form of beverage from several bottles, each having a plug mounted on the bottle neck, to a glass, where a tubing is lead through the plug to the glass, and such that the pumping is preferable done with a peristaltic pump. Each bottle has its own plug and a light source. The apparatus has a control unit that, via a WI-FI, a Bluetooth, a NFC connection or the like, is connected to a tablet, a smartphone a PC or the like from which the pumps can be controlled in order to transfer a preselected amount of beverage to the glass. With the apparatus, according to the invention, it is secured that no beverage is contaminated with another beverage since all the beverages are filled directly to the glass via the tubing that ends in separate nozzles, such that the tubing is the only element of the apparatus with the beverage. The apparatus is suitable to set in operation in a pub, a hotel room, a home environment or the like.

Description

APPARATUS FOR AUTOMATED MIXING AND DISPENSING OF BEVERAGES AND USE OF THE APPARATUS
This invention relates to an apparatus for dispensing and mixing beverage, where several bottles containing liquids in form of beverages, are equipped with a plug through which a tubing is lead, said tubing is connected to a pump, such as a peristaltic pump.
Further the invention relates to a use of the apparatus.
An apparatus of the type defined in the introductory part of claim 1 is known from US 2016/0255991 Al . According to this apparatus the beverages are led and collected in a cartridge.
This means that beverages are getting in contact with each other before entering a receptor, such as a drinking glass.
On this background, it is a purpose with the invention to get an apparatus where all beverages to be mixed are separated from each other before entering a receptor such as a drinking glass.
The purpose is reached by an apparatus of the type defined in the introductory part of claim 1, that is characterized that the beverages are individually pumped and lead directly from the bottles through the tubing direct to a receptor, such as a drinking glass.
In this way contamination between the beverages are eliminated since the beverages first encounter each other in the receptor. This also means that cleaning of any part of the apparatus when different types of mixed beverages are selected are no necessary. So, all beverages are transferred directly from the bottles through the tubing . In other words, no costly reservoirs, containers and the like between the bottles and the glass are needed. It is further noted that the whole apparatus is built from very few components, providing a cost- effective apparatus. To get a good mixing of the various beverages it is an advantage if, as stated in claim 2, that the liquid from the bottles are pumped such that the liquid with the lowest density is preferable first pumped into the glass.
In order to get a proper mixing, it is advantageous, if, as stated in claim 3, that the beverages in the glass are stirred under or after all beverages are transferred to the glass. It is expedient, as stated in claim 4, is that each plug is equipped with a controllable light source, such that the bottles connected to the apparatus are lit, and as stated in claim 5, that the apparatus is equipped with temperature sensors intended for measuring and regulating the temperature of the beverage. It is advantageous if, as stated in claim 6, that the apparatus has a control unit, that via a wireless connection, such as WIFI, Bluetooth, NFC or the like connection, is connected to a smartphone, a tablet a PC or the like, and, as stated in claim 7, that the apparatus is equipped with temperature sensors intended for measuring and regulating the temperature of the beverage.
It is further expedient, if, as stated in claim 7, that the control unit is adapted to contain information of the beverages, such information as expiration date, liquid level in the bottles, brand name, calories content, nutrients, alcohol percentage and the like.
It also an advantage if, as stated in claim 8, that the control unit is built in the apparatus.
To further facilitate the operation of the apparatus according to the invention it is preferred, if, as stated in claim 9, that the control unit is programmable, such that preselected amounts of liquids from each of the bottles are selected .
As mentioned the invention also deals with a use of the apparatus. This use is defined in claim 10.
The invention will now be described in more detailed manner regarding the drawing on which
Fig. 1 illustrates the frontside of the apparatus according to the invention
Fig. 2 illustrates the back side of the apparatus, whereas Fig. 3 illustrates an overall flowchart on the function of the overall function of the apparatus according to the invention.
The apparatus according to the invention is in its identity denoted 1.
As it can be seen ten bottles are placed in the apparatus and, where one bottle is denoted 2. The other bottles are for simplicity not denoted with any number, since the way all bottles are built up in the apparatus are the same.
As it can be seen the bottle 2 has a plug 2a, that is fixed to the bottleneck of the bottles. This plug can have a light source and be able to send light to the bottles, see later. Each plug may further be adapted to send information data such as expiration date, liquid level, brand, calories, nutrients, alcohol percentage and the like about from a connected bottle to a not shown apparatus control unit. Through the plug is lead a tubing (hose) 2b to the bottom of the bottle. From the top of the plug the tubing 2b, and denoted 2c is lead through the wall 1A of the apparatus 1.
Further the apparatus 1 may be portable or placed on a table, a countertop or inside a cabinet. The apparatus itself can be produced in various materials such as metals, such as aluminium, steel, plastics carbon fibre or the like.
As it can be seen on fig . 2, the tubing 2c is lead to a pump 3, preferably a peristaltic pump 3. From the pump 3. A tubing 2d is lead back to the frontside of the apparatus in a collection device 4 that has a nozzle 5. It is noted that there are a plurality of nozzles corresponding to the number of bottles. Also important is that the nozzles are separated from each other individually. Through the nozzles beverages can be transferred to a glass 6, when more of the pumps are activated so a mixing of beverages can fill the glasses up, forming a cocktail.
It is also noted that the apparatus ca be equipped with a cooling device, adapted to cooling the ingredients delivered from the bottles.
As it further can be seen the receptor can have a stilk 7 connected to a bottom 13 of the glass 6. The stilk can be placed on a platform 9, possible with a (not shown) wall that fits the bottom 8. The platform 9 can via a rod 10 provide a vibration process, and thereby set a stirring process of the ingredients in operation. It is noted that the items 9 and 10 is optional.
Moreover, is on fig . 1 shown an iPad 11 with a touch sensitive display that via a wireless connection 12 such as WFI, Bluetooth, NFC or the like connection, that is connected to a not shown electric control device for adjusting the function of the apparatus.
Of course, a smartphone or a PC could replace the iPad . It is also possible to insert a display on the apparatus itself working as the iPad .
In fig . 3, an example of the overall function diagram illustrating the control of the apparatus. Other ways to do it is of course possible.
Examples on how on the controlling of the apparatus apparatus according to the invention is, amongst others, described in the above-mentioned US patent no. 201670255991 Al, see fig . 2 and fig. 7. Now the operation of the apparatus will be explained .
When a user, such as a bar tender, wants to mix a cocktail consisting of several beverage ingredients, he first informs the apparatus which cocktails he wants to create. The choosing of the cocktail, could be shown as a picture on the display on the Ipad . He then gives a message to the Ipad the sort of cocktail he will prepare in the glass by pressing activating the mix function.
When the user chooses a cocktail, then the light in all the bottles will switch off except for the bottle that is about to dispense a specific beverage ingredient. The cocktail composition is preferable preprogramed in the control unit such that the bar tender has many sorts of cocktails available.
Within the scope of the invention it is also possible to make a so-called tailored made cocktail, where the bartender chooses beverage ingredients individually.
