Description

IMPROVEMENT ON ADHESIVE TRAP FORMULAS
TECHNOLOGICAL AREA
The invention relates to solutions for improving strength in adhesive formulations of adhesive traps and similar qualities prepared on the basis of polybutene, Polyisobutene mixture.
STATE OF THE ART
Today, it is studied on chemical or physical based trapping formulas on fighting with both rodents and flies. As a result of these formulations, solutions such as sticking of the living thing to the trap, and the removal of them from the environment by the effect of a gas mixed with the air through heating and releasing, or directly catching it by gas spraying or catching of a mouse through the physical trapping systems, for instance, by the use of the attractiveness of a food such as a cheese, are formed.
For example, flies cause considerable economic losses in animal breeding due to both the diseases and loss of yields they cause. In stockbreeding, instead of consuming the bait of a living thing, fighting with flies is determined as the reason for significant losses. In this way, the flies can prevent the bull from mating and cause loss of milk yield in milk cows and weight in healthy cows and decrease of the weight of delactation in the calves.
In the researches that were conducted in America, the damage caused by flies to breeders was calculated as 876 million dollars per year. In studies conducted in the United States and Canada, it has been determined that toads kept in non-fly environments showed 5-8 kg more weight gain compared to the rest of the population where these flies were intensely located. It was also determined that the calves showed a higher delactation weight of 5-7 kg. It has been determined that milk yields decrease by 20% in cows disturbed by flies. In another study made with heifers, it was found that in a place where fighting with flies was carried out, it reached around 152 kg in 89 days, while it remained around 100 kg in places where there was no fight against flies. While this advantage is gained by weight, it is also suggested that these heifers will have an indirect improvement in pregnancy and offspring insemination, and that economic gain will therefore be greater than the prevention of weight loss.
Besides this, for example, field rats are a terrible dream of farmers in the fields, in the gardens, in the meadows and in the rangelands. They become harmful by nibbling and cutting the green parts, seeds and fruits of the winter and summer products. On the other side, they put human health at risk because they are the carriers of many deadly diseases. A female mouse has an average of 4-6 births a year and has 5-9 baby mice per birth. When the pest control is not done, they cause large losses according to population density.
It is known that the said fighting is not formed with a single formulation trap and so far, different studies have been subject to patent applications all over the world.
For example, under the title "flying insect trapper" in the utility model registration application with the application number of 2016/06648, it is stated that "the invention is related with the trap that performs the procedure of capturing the flying insects such as flies, house flies, olive flies, Mediterranean fruit flies, which damage the environment, human beings, animals and agricultural products, and it features the flying insect trap (A) consisting of the cage (10), the feed bucket (20), the locking mechanism (30), the inlet funnels (40), the trap funnels (50) and the hanging ring (60) that is configured to perform the capture procedure of the insects in a natural way without using any chemical substances" and a development in the means of fight with the flies was achieved.
In another example, in the patent registration study titled Ά KIND OF ADHESIVE FOR CAPTURING THE RODENT with reference number of 2015/09916, it was briefly stated as follows: 'The invention features the Absorbent polymer-stem that facilitates to keep within the product by mixing the water and water in order to provide benefit for the manufacturers and users due to the contents of the adhesive materials used to locate on the specific surfaces in order to capture the undesired rodents.'
These and similar examples point out the fact that R&D studies are being carried out on this issue, and many applications that provide innovations in the fight against insects and rodents are introduced by the manufacturers. TECHNICAL EXPLANATIONS THAT THE INVENTION AIMS THE SOLUTION
The invention includes solutions for enhancing strength in adhesive formulations for adhesive traps and similar qualities prepared on polybutene, polyisobutene mixture base.
In this study, glycerin was added to polybutene, polyisobutene (adhesive composite) mixture and it was aimed to make the adhesive more resistant.
When polybutene, polyisobutene and glycerin were mixed together, polybutene, polyisobutene and glycerin were completely separated from each other after a while.
Then, dextrin was added into the mixture of polybutene, polyisobutene and glycerin, and polybutene, polyisobutene and glycerin were not decomposed.
And also; It has been observed that the strength of the adhesive is increased by using urea in the composite which is dextrin added into polybutene, polyisobutene and glycerin mixture. In the same way urea and dextrin are used together in polyurethane, polyisobutene mixture, and a different formulation is achieved without using glycerin.
In addition, glycerin has been added into polybutene, polyisobutene, solvent, LPG (spray adhesive) mixture and spray adhesive has been developed to make it more resistant. Polybutene, polyisobutene, solvent, LPG and glycerin are mixed together; After a while it was observed that polybutene, polyisobutene, solvent and glycerin were completely separated from each other.
When dextrin is then incorporated into the polybutene, polyisobutene, solvent, LPG (spray adhesive) and glycerin mixture; it is detected that polybutene, polyisobutene, solvent, LPG and glycerin did not dissociate.
In addition, it has been observed that the adhesive strength is increased by using urea in polybutene, polyisobutene, solvent, LPG (spray adhesive), glycerin and dextrin mixture. In the same way, urea and dextrin are used together in a mixture of polybutene, polyisobutene, solvent, LPG (spray adhesive), glycerin, dextrin and urea, and a different formulation has been achieved without using glycerin. Detailed Explanation of the Invention
The invention includes solutions for enhancing strength in adhesive formulations for adhesive traps and similar qualities prepared on polybutene, poiyisobutene mixture basis.
In this study, glycerin was added to the polybutene, poiyisobutene (adhesive composite) mixture and it was aimed to make the adhesive more resistant.
Polybutene, poiyisobutene and glycerin are mixed together; after a while it was observed that polybutene, poiyisobutene and glycerin were completely separated from each other.
Then dextrin was added into the polybutene, poiyisobutene and glycerin mixture; and it was detected that polybutene, poiyisobutene and glycerin did not dissociate
In general of the formulation, the additives of the active ingredients are as follows. While the glycerin additive ratio is between 30% and 40%, it can be increased or decreased in the range of 60% to 50% such that the total mass is inversely proportional to the polybutene fraction.
Polybutene = adhesive raw material 60% - % 50
Poiyisobutene = Rubber 5%
Glycerin = Additive %30 - % 40
Dextrin = Binding agent %5
The mentioned mixture can contain 3% urea. In this case, Polybutene (adhesive raw material) is reduced by 3% independently from other ratios.
The ratios in spray version of mixture;
Polybutene = Adhesive raw material 10%
Poiyisobutene = Rubber 1%
Glycerin = Additive 7% Dextrin = Binding agent 2%
Solvent = Dissolver 60%
LPG = Propellant gas 20%
Used as mentioned.
In the use of urea in the spray version of the mixture; The urea ratio is 1%, and when 1% urea is added, the glycerin ratio is reduced by 1% and it reaches 6%.
Ratios of the mixture without Urea and Glycerin;
Polybutene : Adhesive material 12%
Polyisobutene Rubber 2%
Dextrin Binding agent 3%
Solvent Dissolver 60%
LPG = Propellant gas 23%
They are on the above given ratios.
