Abstract

The present invention relates to location based system, particularly a mobile application which uses the location based system to provide the virtual images and videos and historical timeline about the historical monuments or other kinds of historical monuments having a historical significance on the mobile application.

Description

LOCATION BASED SYSTEM DISPLAYING HISTORICAL TIMELINE
Technical field of the Invention: The present invention relates to location based system, particularly a mobile application which uses the location based system to provide the virtual images and videos and historical timeline about the historical monuments or other kinds of historical monuments having a historical significance on the mobile application. Background and Prior Art:
Mobile and internet technologies have become an integral part of human life. It is a common practice by everyone to search for the information on the internet to know about the place. The tourist places or the historical places information is available online but when the users are travelling or visiting other places, the information about the historical timelines of the places is not displayed anywhere. The historical timeline comprises of important legal and territorial changes and political events in that place and nearby places.
The users generally look for the information at the historical and happening places on the internet. Many web pages contain location specific information which are displayed when we search for that particular place. The users would have to memorize or keep track of the information like events or timeline published on the internet.
Some users manually save the information published on the web into mobile devices as reminders so that they do not miss the events in future. As is evident, remembering timeline information published on the web pages can be a tiresome and is time consuming and there are chances that the user might tend to forget. Moreover, there are no current methods or systems which display the historical timeline when the user is present in the location.
The mobile phone service providers and device manufacturers are to deliver high l value services to the consumers mainly providing the internet or network services. In particular, these services can include location and navigation services on a mobile device (e.g., a smartphone). For example, mobile devices may include a display, location-based sensors (e.g., Global Positioning System (GPS) receivers), camera, and a processor, along with access to network-based databases of information. In addition, such devices can be programmed to provide a virtual view of geographic points of interest (POIs) and other display items surrounding the device to support augmented reality, virtual reality, three-dimensional mapping, and/or other similar perspective displays.
However, mobile devices also typically have relatively limited resources (e.g., processing resources, memory resources, display resources, etc.). Accordingly, service providers and device manufacturers face significant technical challenges to enabling implementation of applications and services that support perspective-based displays on, for instance, mobile devices. With the combination of all the above mentioned features, there is a requirement of an advanced event schedule revealing system which displays the event information on the mobile screen when the user takes the pictures through the camera present in the mobile phone. Objectives of the Invention:
The primary object of the present invention is to provide the location based mobile system which is enabled with perspective display. Another object of the present invention is to provide a mobile application with location based system which activates the camera to capture the images and convert the images to virtual images and display them on the mobile screen background.
Another object of the present invention is to provide a location based mobile application which displays the historical timeline when the mobile phone captures the images of any historical monument through the camera. Another object of the present invention is to provide the location based mobile application wherein the images captured can be scrolled front and back through sliding mechanism.
Another object of the present invention is to provide the location based mobile application wherein the user can sort out the monuments in the location based the historical timeline. Summary of the Invention:
The location based system which captures the images by activating the camera, converts it actually does not convert it activating camera. Barcodes or similar objects will be placed on the monuments so that mobile app will recognize the object using camera and then retrieve the stored information from the server, the real images into virtual images or animated images and display them in the background of the mobile phone. When the user captures the image of the place for example Historical monument, the mobile application displays the virtual image of the historical monument in the background of the mobile screen or AR or VR enabled devices and it also displays the timeline of the places present in the location where the user is present. The present invention also gives the facility to scroll through the images and the videos made by the user using a slider option present in the mobile phone.
The timeline information which is provided in the application comprises of the list of events in chronological order, typically a graphic design showing a long bar labelled with dates alongside itself and usually events labelled on points where they would have happened. Mobile device displays the event information which comprises of timings, specifications, and other related information. Mobile device also has the facility of event reminder which enables the user to remember the events for future reference. One aspect of the present invention is a system that when the mobile application is opened, the camera gets activated, the system monitors the activation of camera present in the mobile phone. Live video images from the remote camera are captured and streamed in real time over a network to the mobile device. Control signals may be sent from the mobile device to the camera to remotely activate the camera. The live video images can also be viewed by scrolling forward or reverse with the help of the slider option present in the mobile phone.
Another aspect of the present invention is that the system allows the user to sort the monuments present in the user's location based on the historical timeline.

Detailed Description of the Invention:
The present invention is described below.
Computer based and/or electronic systems are known to provide a virtual environment for many players to interact in a virtual world. With increased availability and connectivity to the internet by the users, all the users interact in the virtual environment and perform various tasks. The real images or the reality is transformed into the virtual reality with the help of a mobile application which creates the animated copy of the real image.
Location based systems detect the location of the user with the help of the Global Positioning System (GPS) and uses the real world as their geography. This real world geography is converted into the virtual world where in all the places in the real world are transformed into the places in the virtual world. The users can navigate through a range of coordinates defining virtual space in the virtual world by navigating through a range of geographic co-ordinates in the real world. If a user wants to use a positional data of the particular location in the real world, then the position of the user can be analyzed by the GPS feature present in the mobile phone. As a result of this feature, as the user moves continuously in the real world in different co-ordinates, the user who is depicted in the virtual world also moves in the same range of co-ordinates in the virtual world.
The present invention provides a comprehensive system for mobile device having location based features. The system comprises of activating the camera in the mobile phone, capturing images or live video with an option of scrolling forward or backward to view the images or the video, viewing the historical timeline of the different spots present in the location of the user. There are no systems available which displays the historical timeline information along with the capturing of live video feed. The currently existing technologies do not have the facility of displaying the event information with the live video feed in the mobile phone including surveillance, safety and security.
The preferred embodiment of the present invention comprises of a mobile device which is coupled to a cellphone network with the internet network. The mobile has a camera inbuilt in it which gets activated when the mobile application is opened.
The mobile phone camera captures the live image of the place/monument or a building and converts it into the virtual image which will be displayed on the mobile phone screen. The mobile phone has the GPS feature which is used to get the complete image of the monument. The mobile phone camera is also enabled to capture the video of the place of monument or building which in turn displays the complete virtual image of it.
Cell network used in the present invention can be a public or private cellular network providing the necessary architecture for mobile call maintenance, including base station subsystem(s), mobile switching center(s), location registries and other infrastructure components.

When the user starts the mobile application, the user location is detected by the GPS which is present in the mobile phone which will be displayed on the screen as the user location. The mobile application activates the camera which enables the user to capture the image or video which is transformed into the virtual image or video or the animated form. The mobile application also displays the historical timeline of the places which are detected by the GPS along with the other information and also the user location which helps the user to relate the distance between their location and the places nearby. The user can also opt to save the data which is displayed. The mobile application used in the present invention uses the GPS feature and camera present in the mobile phone in order to get the location information and the virtual images. Once the camera captures the images and the mobile application converts it into virtual image or the animation, the user can opt to see the event information through the mobile application. The user can select to view the scheduled timeline among the spots present in the location and can retrieve the information and even store them. This information can be viewed and saved in the mobile phone by the user for future reference.
The location based system which is the preferred embodiment of the present invention, captures the images by activating the camera, converts the real images into virtual images and display them in the background of the mobile phone. The invention also has a feature wherein the user can scroll forward or backward through the live video capture or images captured with the help of the sliding feature present in the mobile application.
Additional Feature of Invention: Splash Screen.

When user is logged in, he will get the first display of location which will be auto taken by gps. Video player complete system which will be able to play 360 degree videos. Functionality: This will include video subscription, Tourist registration, Video player will be able to play 360 degree videos with a card box function to enable VR glasses if available. Historical Place / monument location map
Map will be in 2D or 3D format which will guide the user where he can experience the time slider app. Tourist can click picture with virtual characters.
Functionality: application will take the picture with selected virtual character and tourist together in front of the designed glory wall. And the virtual character will be placed from the camera module of this app. This will be activated by QR Code Time slider for the videos.
Functionality: This feature will show the videos which are related to a particular category in the form of time range. This will also show the images (if any) and the description related to that historical place. This will be activated by QRCode. Virtual museum gallery which will be activated through QR Code.
Functionality: This feature will use the QR code to activate the virtual museum. Virtual museum consist of the images / videos of the historical place and the details of that object. . Different language options in video player.
Functionality: tourist will be able to select the language in which tourist wants to play the video accordingly to that video description will be changed. . The above options will be available in Augmented Reality Enabled devices as well as Virtual Reality Enabled Devices.

Claims

A location based mobile system comprising:
a. a mobile phone or smartphone having camera feature;
b. a mobile application; and
c. an internet connection;
wherein, the mobile application has to be installed in the smartphone, and the internet connection enables to connect through the network in order to activate the Global Positioning System (GPS) in the smartphone for capturing the images or live video at any location in the world.
A location based mobile system as claimed in claim 1, wherein the mobile phone or smartphone containing the camera helps to capture the images or live video of various monuments or buildings present in any location.
A location based mobile system as claimed in claim 2, wherein the captured images and the live videos can be scrolled forward or backwards using a sliding mechanism in order to view the images and the videos in all the angles.
A location based mobile system as claimed in claim 1, wherein the mobile application enables to sort out the monuments present in the current location of the user and displays the historical timeline of those monuments that are captured through camera against the converted virtual images which are displayed in the background of the mobile phone screen.
A location based mobile system as claimed in claim 1, wherein mobile device which is coupled to a cell phone network with the active internet connection.
A location based mobile system as claimed in claim 2, wherein the inbuilt camera present in the smartphone gets automatically activated when the mobile application is opened.
7. A location based mobile system as claimed in claim 6, wherein the mobile application converts the captured live images and the live videos of the place/monument or a building into the virtual images and are displayed on the mobile phone screen.
8. A method comprising:
a. installing the mobile application in the smartphone;
b. activating the camera in the smartphone to capture the live images and videos of the monuments present in the location;
c. converting the captured images and videos into virtual images to display in the background of the smartphone screen;
d. retrieving the location based content along with the historical timeline associated with one or more spots through the location-based service;
9. A location based mobile system as claimed in claim 1, wherein the mobile application enables the users to navigate through a range of coordinates defining virtual space in the virtual world, by navigating through a range of geographic coordinates in the real world.
10. A location based mobile system as claimed in claim 1, wherein the mobile application enables the users to use the positional data of the particular location in the real world, then the position of the user can be analyzed through Global Positioning System (GPS) feature present in the mobile phone.
11. A location based mobile system as claimed in claim 1, wherein when the user moves continuously in the real world at a particular location and in different co- ordinates, the user is depicted in the virtual world, which also moves in the same range of co-ordinates in the virtual world.
12. A location based mobile system as claimed in claim 1, the mobile application displays the historical timeline of the places which are detected through the GPS along with the user location which aids the user to relate the distance between their current location and the captured places nearby.
13. A location based mobile system as claimed in claim 1, wherein the user can select to view the scheduled timeline among the various spots present in the location, retrieve the information and store them, which can be viewed and saved in the mobile phone by the user for future reference.
14. All the above features will be available in mobile phones i.e Augmented reality enabled devices as well as virtual reality enabled devices.
