Abstract

The invention relates to a near vision monocle for wearing around the neck, with a mechanical system for separation between the lens and the cord or chain. This monocle is made up of three elements: a chain or cord that allows attachment to the neck of the user, an optical magnifying lens and a mechanical system formed by a clasp for quick and efficient release of the lens as required. The invention has the main function of allowing persons suffering from presbyopia to read or view texts or illustrations quickly and immediately. The invention is highly flexible since the same user can have several cords and necklaces with a single interchangeable lens. The subject matter to be patented belongs to the field of personal accessories with optical use.

Title:

Monocle of near vision to wear in the neck with separation system between the lens and cord. It is a monocle formed by three elements: a chain or cord that allows the attachment to the user's neck, an optical magnifying lens and a mechanical system formed by a hitch to be able to release the lens quickly and efficiently in case of being necessary. This invention has the main function of facilitating quick and immediate readings or visualizations of texts or figures to people with eyesight problems.

Technical Status:

Secondly, they take up space, they are not easy to carry in the pockets of clothes or to find in bags, at home or at work. Finally, your search requires time that means an inconvenience for the user when you have to do a quick reading of the mobile, clothing labels, in the supermarket, brochures, city pianos, among many other situations.

We have conducted an online search in INVENES and in PATENTE SCOPE to investigate advances in monocles and no system like the one proposed was found. In INVENES no reference was found under the search criteria of "monocle". With the search for magnifying glass "the following object was detected:

- Folding medallion-pendant and carrier of optical elements, publication ES1072652U, applicant Montserrat Solano, Reina. However, we consider that the proposed monocle is distinguished in several elements. First, the medallion-pendant incorporates two lenses, unlike the proposed one that is only one. The medallion incorporates a decorative molding with a hinge, in such a way that the lenses are camouflaged in some way and the medallion is given more relevance as a fashion accessory. On the contrary, in our case the functionality is mainly valued, giving relevance to the monocle itself and giving priority to a very simple design at a very low cost. Finally, the proposed monocle includes a mechanical mechanism to separate the lens from the cord as opposed to the medallion. Thus, the lens can be separated and worn with different necklaces and laces. This gives the product flexibility,

Nor do we consider that this product is comparable since it is a variation of the traditional monocle, in shape and mount and that it is considered as an object to carry in the bag or pocket inside a case and also adapts to the eye socket.

In conclusion, regarding the State of the Art, we understand that to date there is no patented monocle with the characteristics of the one we propose. Description: The object to be patented constitutes a monocle to see up close, consisting of three elements:

1. - Clamping piece to the neck that can be constituted by a cord, ribbon, necklace or chain according to the market segment to which it will be directed. It can include elements such as beads, beads, ribbons or combination of materials to make it more attractive to different audiences or for the realization of specific activities (sports, going out at night or day) adapting to the user's clothing.

2. - Monocle or magnifying lens to facilitate short distance vision to those who require it due to problems of presbyopia or farsightedness. It is a lens previously manufactured by companies dedicated to optics cut with an oval or circular shape and with different graduations according to the user's need. It can be frameless or carry a small frame.

3. - Mechanical coupling consisting of a carabiner that facilitates the separation of elements 1 and 2 quickly and efficiently. This allows the user to hang the lens to different chains, ribbons or cords, depending on their clothing, and also lend it to another person who has visual problems at a specific time. The carabiner can be made of plastic, metal or any other material that allows it to perform its function.

Unlike other existing monoculars in the market, this lens will be held on the side of the user's nose with the fingers of the hand and not through the facial muscles.

When carried to the neck, this monocle model has the main function of facilitating a reading or quick view at specific times of the day to day of the people, for example, to see the mobile, labels, plans, posters of transport networks in the city, letters in restaurants, among others.

The main advantages of this product are described below:

- It is a very functional object because it allows you to see closely necessary information for the user in a fast, almost instantaneous way, thus avoiding the search for traditional glasses to see closely.

- It is very economical and easy to produce. All the elements that constitute it (cord, lens, carabiner) are available in the market. Only one hole is required in the lens and the parts assembly process.

- The simplicity of its design makes it adaptable to men and women, simply by changing the cord that holds it to the neck.

- It has great flexibility since the same user can have several cords and necklaces with a single lens that is interchangeable. - Given its simplicity it can be sold at a low price.

- The carabiner allows the lens to be separated from the cord if necessary, for example, to lend it to another person with vision problems or to change the type of cord.

- There is a high demand for optical devices to see closely due to the natural degeneration of the eyes from 40 years. Traditional close-up glasses fulfill the function of long readings, however, the proposed monocle is intended for short readings, for which we think there is a gap in the current market.

CLAIMS 1.- Monocle to correct the near vision in an eye to carry in the neck formed by three elements, a piece of subjection to the neck that can be constituted by a cord, ribbon or chain (1); an optical corrective magnifying lens, without a frame, to facilitate short-distance vision, or tired sight, of different graduations and of an oval or circular shape, which has a small hole that allows its attachment to the carabiner (2); and a mechanical hitch (3) consisting of a carabiner made of plastic, metal or any other material that facilitates the separation of elements 1 and 2 quickly and efficiently.
