Definitions
- the present embodiment relates to an apparatus and method for setting a configuration of a specific network so that two or more networks having different characteristics of transmitting and receiving data in an unlicensed frequency band can coexist.
- LTE schedules sections to send and receive data at predetermined intervals and sections not to send and receive data accordingly, while networks such as Wi-Fi determine whether other networks are transmitting and receiving data. It is characterized by transmitting and receiving its own data only at the timing of not transmitting or receiving data. As the number of users using LTE increases, the length of the interval in which LTE transmits and receives data increases, and the interval of the corresponding interval becomes shorter, so that a network such as Wi-Fi can transmit or receive data even though it is an unlicensed band. There is a problem that is not properly secured.
- LTE and Wi-Fi do not recognize each other because PHY / MAC are different from each other, while the signal strength of LTE is stronger than that of Wi-Fi, while the sensitivity of detecting other networks is more sensitive than that of LTE. Therefore, LTE does not detect other networks using Wi-Fi or the like and schedules sections to transmit and receive data only according to its circumstances. As such, as the scheduling of its own data transmission period preferentially, there is a problem that LTE is used exclusively even though it is an unlicensed band in which various networks can be used.

For example, assuming that the preset time is 100 seconds, the terminal 140c may use the first network resource for 50 seconds and not use the first network resource for the remaining 50 seconds. Therefore, the resource usage measuring unit 224 is a preset time for the terminals 140a, 140b, 140c, 140d, 140e under the network provision range of each of the small repeaters 130a, 130b, 130c, 135a, and 135b for a preset time. Measure how much network resources you have been using for a while.
- the resource usage measuring unit 224 measures the absolute amount of network resources used by the terminals 140a, 140b, 140c, 140d, and 140e through each small repeater for a preset time. In particular, the resource usage measuring unit 224 measures the absolute amount of the first network or the second network resources used by the terminal in the unlicensed frequency band. For a preset time, the terminal may or may not use the network. The resource usage measuring unit 224 measures the amount of network resources used when the terminal uses the network, except when the terminal does not use the network.

- the configuration setting unit 230 sets the configuration of the first network by setting the configuration of a unit physical resource block (PRB) included in a frame transmitted and received using the first network. Since the frames transmitted and received using the first network are consecutive of unit physical resource blocks, the configuration setting unit 230 may set the configuration of the first network by setting the configuration of the unit physical resource blocks.
- the configuration setting unit 230 includes a resource ratio setting unit 233, a resource size setting unit 236, and a channel setting unit 239.
- the resource ratio setting unit 233 may include a data subframe 320 including data to be transmitted / received in the first network in a unit physical resource block, and a blank subframe including no data or only minimal control data. Set the ratio of Blank Subframe or Almost Blank Subframe.
- the configuration of the physical resource block set by the resource ratio setting unit 233 is illustrated in FIG. 3.

- the data subframe 320 may perform uplink or downlink for transmitting and receiving data between the terminal 140 and the core network 110. It is a section.
- the empty subframe 330 corresponds to a section in which data to be transmitted and received using the first network is not included in the physical resource block 310. Since the empty subframe 330 does not include data, data may be transmitted and received using another network in the empty subframe 330.
- the resource ratio setting unit 233 may use the data subframe 320 and the empty subframe in the physical resource block 310 based on the usage ratio of the first network measured by the usage measuring unit 220. 330 is set.
- the second network having a MAC characteristic of transmitting and receiving its data only when other networks do not transmit or receive data may transmit and receive data in a blank subframe 330 section in which no data is included. Accordingly, even if the first network and the second network are used together in the unlicensed band, the resource ratio setting unit 233 may use the data subframe 320 and the empty sub in the physical resource block 310 to coexist.
- the ratio of the frame 330 is set.
- the resource ratio setting unit 233 sets the ratio of the data subframe 320 in the physical resource block 310 based on the ratio of the terminal measured by the resource usage measuring unit 224 using the first network resource within a preset time. Can be. As described above, when the usage measuring unit 220 measures that the first network resource using time is 50 seconds among the preset time 100 seconds, the resource ratio setting unit 233 may perform data in the physical resource block 310. The ratio of the subframe 320 and the empty subframe 330 may be set to 1: 1.

- the resource ratio setting unit 233 determines the ratio of absolute usage of the first network and the second network received from the resource usage measuring unit 224, or the first network and the first received from the resource user number measuring unit 228. 2 Determine the ratio of the number of terminals using the network. For example, when the absolute usage of the first network and the second network or the ratio of the number of terminals using the first network and the second network is 1: 3, the resource ratio setting unit 233 is the physical resource block 310.
- the resource ratio setting unit 233 flexibly sets the ratio of the subframes in consideration of the network information of the second network together with the first network, thereby transmitting and receiving its data only at a timing at which other networks do not transmit or receive data. Enough timing is ensured even for a network having a MAC characteristic to transmit and receive data.
- the resource ratio setting unit 233 may select a resource ratio by using any one of a usage ratio of the first network, an absolute usage ratio of the first network and the second network, and a numeric ratio of terminals using the first and second networks.
- Network configuration setting apparatus 120 according to an embodiment of the present invention, even if a plurality of networks including the first network in the unlicensed band is used, the effect that the plurality of networks coexist by using the above-described configuration process.

- the resource size setting unit 236 sets the size of the physical resource block according to the absolute usage of the first network and the second network.
- the resource size setting unit 236 sets the size of the physical resource block 310a to be small without changing the ratio between subframes in the physical resource block 310a. Accordingly, since the size of the data subframe 320a and the empty subframe 330a is small, a delay in transmitting and receiving data in the first network and the second network is reduced. On the contrary, when the absolute usage of the first network and the second network is large, the resource size setting unit 236 sets the size of the physical resource block 310b to be large without changing the ratio of subframes in the physical resource block 310b. do. Accordingly, since the size of the data subframe 320b and the empty subframe 330b increases, the bandwidth for transmitting and receiving data in the first network and the second network increases together.
- the channel setting unit 239 determines whether to change the frequency channel in the unlicensed frequency band by grasping the absolute amount of network resources measured by the usage measuring unit 220 or the number of terminals using the network. do. If the absolute use of the first or second network resources suddenly or the number of terminals using the first or second network suddenly increases, the resource ratio setting unit 233 or the resource size setting unit 236 in the physical resource block Significant load may be incurred in suddenly setting or changing the ratio between subframes or the size of physical resource blocks. Therefore, if the absolute amount of network resources or the number of terminals using the network exceeds a predetermined reference value, the channel setting unit 239 uses the network resources among the frequency channels in the unlicensed frequency band in the channel currently using the network resources. Change to this least frequency channel. Accordingly, even if the absolute usage of network resources or the number of terminals using the first or second network increases rapidly, the configuration setting unit 230 may flexibly respond.
- FIG. 5 (a) is a diagram showing a frame including a physical resource block set by a conventional network configuration setting apparatus.
- the conventional network configuration setting apparatus does not consider information of another network with respect to the first network, and a section (data subframe) for transmitting and receiving data in the physical resource block 150 and a section for not transmitting according to the information of the first network ( Blank subframe) has been scheduled in advance.
- the second network may transmit and receive data in the empty subframe period.
- the size of the empty subframe is considerably smaller, which causes a problem that the second network cannot transmit or receive data. For this reason, a phenomenon occurs that the first network exclusively uses the unlicensed band.
- FIG. 5B is a diagram illustrating a frame including physical resource blocks set by the network configuration setting apparatus according to an embodiment of the present invention.
- the network configuration setting device 120 sets the ratio between the subframes 320 and 330 and the size of the physical resource block 310 according to the usage of the network resource, An empty subframe 330 capable of transmitting and receiving data is sufficiently guaranteed. Accordingly, the first network and the second network can coexist in the unlicensed band.

- the usage measuring unit 220 in the network configuration setting apparatus 120 measures the resource usage of each network and the number of terminals using the resources of each network.
- the configuration of the resource block is set (S630).
- the configuration setting unit 230 in the network configuration setting apparatus 120 measures the ratio between subframes in the physical resource block and the size of the physical resource block based on the measured resource usage of each network and the number of terminals using the resources of each network. Set.
- the use of network resources among the frequency channels in the unlicensed frequency band is the least in the channel currently using the network resources. Change to frequency channel.
- FIG. 6 each process is described as being sequentially executed, but this is merely illustrative of the technical idea of the exemplary embodiment of the present invention.
- a person of ordinary skill in the art to which an embodiment of the present invention belongs may change the order of the processes described in each drawing or execute one or more of the processes without departing from the essential characteristics of the embodiment of the present invention. Abstract
