A chair for dynamic sitting is known from patent application PL 411927 Al. The chair comprises the seat fixed between two handles being bracket ends belonging to the base of the chair. The chair is double-sided, this is it comprises two surfaces, the first surface is flat and hard and the second one is a convex surface. The convex surface, in particular example, is obtained with means of sensorimotor cushion fixed to flat surface. The seat can be rotated in relation to the horizontal axle going through both handles and blocked in an unexplained way, in or to the first surface from above, or to the second surface from above. As a result, the seat can perform functions of a simple chair or a rehabilitation chair.
Here, similarly to practice, the sensorimotor cushion is meant as an elastic, closed container having the shape similar to the lens and filled with pressurised air. Sitting on such cushion requires constant operation of many muscles, including the spine, in order to keep balance.
In turn, a rehabilitation device is known from patent specification PL 205384
Bl, containing the base, in which a kneeler is mounted in a cradle, to which a table is pivotally mounted. Both the kneeler and the table are manually-driven, wherein the cradle swings sideways and the table swings vertically on the plane perpendicular to the surface, on which the cradle is moving. A patient, in order to undergo rehabilitation treatment with application of such device, kneels on the kneeler and places own torso on the table, then he propels the cradle, including the kneeler and the table, by pulling on the lever located under him, and as a result the spine movement is forced.
The essence of rehabilitation device comprising the supporting element supported on the frame results from the fact, that the supporting element is the seat and it is supported on the arms mounted to the bushing pivotally assembled on the column,
that is upwardly assembled to the base, wherein the arms can relocate with respect to bottom surface of the seat, as well as contact point of the first arm with the seat can change own height in relation to the horizontal plane, on which contact point of the second arm with bottom surface of the seat is located. The arms are preferably equipped with rollers.
The first arm preferably comprises of a first beam, to which a guide oriented towards the seat is assembled, with a guiding member mounted therein and equipped with first roller on the upper side. A screw is mounted in parallel to the guide in the first arm, having its face connected with the guiding member, wherein the screw is equipped with a knob for its manual rotation or the screw is driven with means of first motor.
For exact guidance of rollers, bottom surface of the seat is equipped with a track. The supporting assembly can be propelled manually with means of a handle fastened to the second arm, or mechanically with means of the second motor propelling the bushing. The handle is preferably the component of elbow-rest. In a particular example of second arm, the second motor is attached thereto, on the shaft of which the first wheel girdled with a toothed belt is assembled, together with the second wheel attached on the column.
In turn, a pin is slidably attached in the column. In the example, alongside the pin a groove is located, to which enters the peg radially located on the column. Whereas, the second end of the pin is connected with means of ball joint to the seat.
The base has preferably the shape of oval plate, wherein it can have, in the embodiments, the shape of three-legged or four-legged supporting construction. The seat has preferably the shape applicable for seating, or it can be the substrate for upholstered seat.
Rehabilitation device according to the invention is an universal device, depending on the angle of inclination for the seat and method for changing direction of such inclination, or its deactivation, it can be used both as a furniture component with properties of a chair or an armchair, and after a while it can be a preventive treatment device, until its final basic function, that is rehabilitation treatment. Such device can be useful both for people working in a seating position, as well as in the professional rehabilitation for people requiring such rehabilitation. In a particular
example, the device can be incorporated in the, for example, labour armchair, and it will be periodically activated.

The rehabilitation device comprises of the seat (1) supported on the frame (2). The seat (1), in order to simplify the drawing, is presented as a round, flat plate, wherein it can have, in a particular embodiment, the shape applicable for sitting or it can be the substrate for, in example, the upholstered seat known in the art, with a backrest or without a backrest. The seat (1) is parallel to the base (3).
The frame (2) comprises of the base (3), on which the column (4) is supported, and an supporting assembly (5) for the seat (1) is mounted on it. The base (3), for simplicity of drawing, can be presented as a round, flat plate, wherein in a particular embodiment it can have, in example, the skeletal shape with three or four legs, such as in the case of known chairs.
The supporting assembly (5) comprises of a bushing (6) equipped with three radially located arms (7, 8, 9), wherein free end of each arm (7, 8, 9) adheres to the lower
surface (10) of the seat (1). The first arm (7) comprises of the first beam (11), to which the guide (12) oriented towards the seat (1) is assembled with a guiding member (13) mounted therein, equipped with the first roller (14) on the upper side. The screw (15) with the knob (16) is seated in the first arm (7) in parallel to the guide (12), face of which is connected with guiding member (13). In the simplified embodiment, several openings can be made alongside the guide (12), whereas location of the guiding member (13) in relation to the guide (12) is determined with means of locking pin. The second arm (8) comprises of the second beam (18), at the end of which the first support member (18) is assembled, and the second roller (19) is assembled on its upper part. The second roller (19) touches bottom surface (10) of the seat (1). The handle
(20) is fixed to the second arm (8), on the extension of the second beam (17). The handle (20), for simplicity of drawing, is presented as a straight rod terminated with a ball, wherein this rod can be bent upwardly in a particular embodiment and, for example, constitutes the elbow-rest element.
Third arm (9) can have the same construction as the second arm (8).
In the column (4), the pin (22) is slidably located, top of which is connected with the seat (1) with means of ball pivot (23). The pin (22) is terminated with ball pivot, and its casing is mounted to the seat (1).
In the embodiment, the pin (22) is connected with the seat (1) with means of, for example, an elastomer block attached to the seat (1) in an opening, in which top of pin
(22) is seated.
The seat (1) is additionally connected with the pin (22) with means of lock (24), in order to secure the seat (1) against rotation around the axle of the pin (22), in order to make the patient, when using the device, sitting similarly to the simple chair.
In the embodiment of device intended for preventive treatment, the lock (24) does not exist, because an exercising person should simultaneously lay own feet on the floor and should move a portion of own weight on them. As a result of this, a person will block the seat (1) against rotation with means of own weight.
The seat (1) is supported in three points with means of rollers (14, 19), whereas the pin (22) determines location of the seat (1) in relation to the axle, therefore also in relation to the frame (2).
The device in a position ready for making rehabilitation treatment with use of it is
presented on figure 2. The screw (15) is unscrewed towards the base (3), such that the guiding member (13) with its first roller (14) lowers own position. Therefore, the seat (1) is respectively inclined towards the base (3) on its one side.

In the first longitudinal opening (29a), first finger (30a) is located, and in the second longitudinal opening (29b), the second finger (30b) is located, whereas the fingers (30a, 30b) are permanently fastened to the seat (1). On the circumference of the seat (1) a ring is fastened, that comprises a track (31) for rollers (14, 19).
Figure 5 presents a fragment of longitudinal cross-section through the device on the plane BB indicated on figure 3. To the bottom surface (10) of the seat (1), in its central part, the casing body (33a) of ball pivot (23) is assembled, and a cover (33b) is screwed thereto, that simultaneously comprises a fork component (27), and the ball peg (34) is seated inside the casing, constituting the ending of the pin (22). The seat (1) is supported with first roller (14) fastened to the guiding member (13) on the first side, whereas the third roller (35) is fastened to the third arm (9) from on the other side.
Figure 6 presents longitudinal section through the device on the plane C-C, indicated on figure 3. Column (4) is fastened to the base (3), in which the pin (22) is swingably seated. A longitudinal groove (37) is made in the pin (22), to which enters
the peg (38) radially seated in the column (4), such that the pin (22) can slide along the axle, but it cannot rotate. The bushing (6) is mounted in the column (4) with means of bearings (39).
To the bottom surface (10) of the seat (1), in its central part, the casing body (33a) of ball pivot (23) is assembled, and a cover (33b) is screwed thereto, wherein the ball peg
(34) is seated inside the casing, constituting the ending of the pin (22).
To the pin (22), below the ball peg (34), the fork (27) is permanently mounted, on the sides of which the plate (28) is bearing-mounted. In the plate (28), on both sides of the fork (27), longitudinal openings (29a, 29b) are located. In the first longitudinal opening (29a) the first finger (30a) is located, and in the second longitudinal opening (29b) the second finger (30b) is located, and the fingers (30a, 30b) are permanently fastened to the seat (1).
The seat (1) is supported with the second roller (19) fastened to the second arm (8) on the first side, and on the other side with third roller (35) fastened to the third arm (9).
Figure 7 presents a fragment of cross-section on the plane D-D, indicated on figure 6, covering the lock (24). Around the pin (22) the fork (27) is fastened, that is subsequently located inside the rectangular opening (40) in the plate (28). Sideways to the fork (27), axles (41a, 41b) laying on the plane of the plate (28) are bearing- mounted.
The device can perform two functions. In first case, in the setting presented on figure 1, it is used explicitly as a typical furniture for sitting, that is a stool, a chair or an armchair, depending on additional equipment.
In order to use the device according to its basic function, the screw (15) is rotated, until the seat is inclined from horizontal plane, to the position presented, for instance, on figure 2. Thereafter, a patient sits on the seat (1) and rests own hands on the handles (20, 26), then he rotates the supporting assembly (5) with a angle amounting to several dozen degrees, once to one side, then to another side, according to the arrows indicated
on figure 3. Third person can also rotate the supporting assembly (5). As a result, the seat (1) changes direction of inclination, but it does not rotate around the axle of pin (22), therefore it compels the patient for correction of own posture, in order to keep balance. Correction of posture is strictly related with reaction of musculoskeletal system, that is, for example, degenerated as a result of sedentary lifestyle, or some muscles are in dystrophy. Controlled compelling patient's movement enables preventive and rehabilitation treatments.
Figures 8 and 9 present alternative rehabilitation devices equipped with electric motors and designed for operation in automatic cycle. To this end, the screw (15) with the knob (16) is replaced with a first motor (41) with a toothed gear propelling a nut, in which the screw (45) is assembled, whereas the handles (20, 26) with means of a second motor (42) with a belt drive (43). The first motor (41) with toothed gear propelling the nut is assembled to the first arm (44) of altemative rehabilitation device, propelling the screw (45) connected with guiding member (45) equipped with first roller (47) and seated in the guide (48), that comprises the component of first arm (44). Whereas, the second motor (42) is attached to the second arm (49), on the shaft of which the first wheel girdled with toothed belt (50) is assembled, altogether with the second wheel (51) attached on the column (52).
