- the aim of the present invention is the realization of a washing machine wherein the electric motor driving the drum is connected to the tub by lowering the number of connection elements.
- the washing machine realized in order to attain the aim of the present invention comprises electric motor holders (referred briefly as the "holder” hereinafter) that are integrated under the tub and that extend toward under the tub parallel with each other.
- the holders journal the rotor which is the rotating component of the electric motor driving the drum.
- the holders enable the electric motor, which is composed of the rotor and the stator and which is brought to the washing machine production site without being grouped, to be grouped and fixed onto the tub.
- the mechanical connection elements used for fixing the electric motor to the tub in the state of the art are not used in the present invention.
- the rotor is journaled between the holders so as to rotate around its axis.
- the stator is fixed between the holders and the rotor and the stator are grouped concentrically. While being fixed to the holders integrated with the tub, the electric motor composed of the stator and the rotor is also fixed to the tub. In the washing machine of the present invention, the number of parts needed for mounting the electric motor that drives the drum to the tub is decreased, and thus, savings in time and labor are provided.

- each holder (13) comprises a cover (15) that covers the slit (14) after the mounting process of the electric motor (10) ( Figure 9, Figure 10).
- the washing machine (1) comprises at least one support (16) that is disposed between the tub (3) and the holders (13), that connects the holders (13) to each other and/or to the tub (3) and that enables the holders (13) to be integrated to the tub (3) separately or as a single peace.
- the support (16) comprises a plurality of ribs (17) that extend between the tub (3) and the holders (13) and that increase the mechanical strength and improve the dimensional stability ( Figure 6).
- the holders (13) are produced by plastic injection separately or as integrated to the tub (3) together with the support (16).
- the holders (13) are produced separately or together with the support (16) by being injected over the tub (3) that is previously produced.
- the holders (13) are produced together with the support (16) separately from the tub (3) and connected to the tub (3) by mechanical connectors such as screws or rivets ( Figure 11).

- the washing machine (1) comprises a planar intermediate plate (18) that is positioned under the tub (3) and that enables the support (16) produced as single piece together with the holders (13) to be connected to the tub (3).
- the intermediate plate (18) is produced from plastic material as a single piece with the tub (3) ( Figure 12).
- the electric motor (10) is proposed, that is not functional before being mounted on the tub (3) and that becomes functional after being mounted on the tub (3), composed of only the stator (4) and the rotor (5) without the use of parts known as the motor housings (19).
- the holders (13) both enable the rotor (5) to be journaled and the electric motor (10) to be fixed onto the tub (3).
- Each holder (13) performs the function the bosses (21) that are formed on the tub (3), the motor housings (19) and the tabs (20) that are connected to the bosses (21) and positioned on the motor housings (19) in the state of the art.
- the number of parts used in the mounting process is decreased, e.g. the mounting screws (12) that group the stator (4) and the rotor (5) also fix the electric motor (10) to the tub (3) by being connected to the holders (13), thus providing material and labor savings.
