Abstract
원통형 이차전지용 전지캔의 상단에 탑재되는 캡 어셈블리로서, 최상단에 외향 돌출 구조로 양극 단자를 형성하는 탑 캡(top cap); 탑 캡의 하단부에서 안전소자를 경유하여 탑 캡과 전기적으로 연결되고, 가스를 배출하는 안전벤트; 및 상면의 일부가 상기 안전벤트에 연결되어 있고, 하면의 일부가 전극조립체의 전극리드에 연결된 상태로, 전지 내부에 고압 발생시 전류의 흐름을 차단하는 전류차단부재(Current Interrupt Device);를 포함하고 있고, 상기 안전벤트와 전류차단부재가 접하는 계면 부위는 전기절연성 소재로 상호 결합되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 캡 어셈블리에 관한 것이다.
