Abstract

Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Tieftemperaturzerlegung von Luft unter Verwendung einer Luftzerlegungsanlage (100) mit einem Destillationssäulensystem (10), das eine Hochdrucksäule (111), die auf einem ersten Druckniveau betrieben wird, und eine Niederdrucksäule (112), die auf einem zweiten Druckniveau unterhalb des ersten Druckniveaus betrieben wird, umfasst. Es ist vorgesehen, dass unter Verwendung der Luft in der Luftzerlegungsanlage (100) ein oder mehrere gasförmige Stoffströme gebildet und einer isenthalpen Entspannung unterworfen werden, die ausgehend von dem ersten Druckniveau oder einem Druckniveau, das sich um nicht mehr als 1 bar von dem ersten Druckniveau unterscheidet, durchgeführt wird, und bei der eine Druckdifferenz von 3 bis 6 bar überwunden wird, wobei der oder die gasförmigen Stoffströme, der oder die der gasförmigen Entspannung unterworfen wird oder werden, eine Fluidmenge von mehr als 500 Normkubikmetern pro Stunde umfassen, und wobei der oder die gasförmigen Stoffströme, der oder die der gasförmigen Entspannung unterworfen wird oder werden, einen Argongehalt von nicht mehr als 1 Molprozent aufweist oder aufweisen. Eine Luftzerlegungsanlage (100) ist ebenfalls Gegenstand der Erfindung.
