Abstract

The invention relates to a method for producing a bipolar plate (40) for a fuel cell, said plate comprising a first distribution region (50), delimited by a separator plate (75, 76), for distributing a fuel to a first electrode (21), and a second distribution region (60), delimited by a separator plate (75, 76), for distributing an oxidant to a second electrode (22). A profile (80) is created in at least one of the distribution regions (50, 60) by 3D printing of a printing material onto the separator plate (75, 76). The invention also relates to a bipolar plate (40) for a fuel cell of the type in question, wherein a profile (80) is provided in at least one of the distribution regions (50, 60) of the bipolar plate (40), the profile being created by 3D printing of a printing material onto the separator plate (75, 76). The invention further relates to a fuel cell comprising at least one membrane electrode assembly (10) having a first electrode (21) and a second electrode (22) which are separated from one another by a membrane (18), and to at least one bipolar plate (40) according to the invention.
