Definitions

  • This invention is a new system for irrigating all kinds of trees, arbors, and ornamental trees by injectors that inject water inside the earth near the roots in order to save water and soluble materials like fertilizers and pesticides. They also save hand labor, help trees get greener and productive. They save trees subject to gradual dryness due to lack of irrigation. They help plant all kinds of trees. Thanks to this invention, steep mountains, plateaus, and terraces can be planted without the need for leveling or flattening because there is no need for surface irrigation. Diseased trees can be treated without digging. Iron Chelates or any other nutrients can be injected direct to the trees before irrigation.
  • This invention is a plastic injector made of anti-oxidant, anti-acidic, anti-corrosion and anti erosion Polypropylene.
  • the injector is a plastic cylinder 13cm in diameter and 20cm in length. 60%of its surface is perforated. Water is injected through it with the pressure of the irrigation grid and then it seeps towards the roots without any evaporation. By this, the surface keeps dry and glowing. This method gives the crops deeper color and tasty sweetness, helps fighting fungal diseases, repels pests and prevents weeds from growing.
  • the injector has a tight plastic cap to keep the water pressure stable inside the injector which seeps water through an automatic valve of fixed flow to a flexible plastic hose fixed into the injector.
  • the injector is designed in a way that prevents roots from penetrating into it.
  • Injectors can be supplied with connectors 10cm long and 14cm in diameter, in order to increase the depth of planting injectors in the earth according to the quality of the soil and the kinds of trees. Contrary to all other underground irrigation system, injectors can be maintained and cleaned easily every year without digging or harming the roots. This can be done by just opening the cap, which is the only part of the injector that remains apparent on the surface, stretching hand inside the injector, cleaning it and then returning the cap. The design of the injectors gives them longer life in the earth so that they can live as much as the trees can live. This means that there is no need to replace injectors with the passage of time. We got these results after long series of tests and experiments on all kinds of soil and all situations of climate and many kinds of trees for a period of six years in Iran, Jordan, Sudan and Egypt.
  • This system can be used in small and large farms, in parks and in villas. To understand the content of this summary, please see the 17 figures inside.
  • This method protects trees from fungal diseases and pests and prevents weeds growth due to the continued glowing of the surface of the earth because humidity doesn't reach the surface and because it conveys fertilizers and pesticides with water to the right place.
  • This method is similar to the operation of serum injection in human bodies that transports medicines, nutrients, and liquids direct to the body through the vein. The same is in trees. They can be treated locally by putting medicines, iron chelates and other solvents directly and easily into the injection: first we take off the cap, the only piece above the surface, we pour the liquids or medicines inside the injector and cover it again.
  • injectors can be maintained and cleaned every year or whenever needed without the need for digging or harming the roots. We just take off the cap of the injector, clean it by hand, and cover it again. To have a good idea about this please see figures no: 9,10,11,14, and 15.
  • This system can be used to plant trees in rough terrains of different levels, in the mountains, in plateaus, and in steep, rocky land because the injectors transport water directly to the roots pushed by the pressure of the water grid regardless of the state of the land. In this method, there is no need for flattening or leveling the land, which costs a lot of money and labor as in (figurel2).
  • This method of irrigation serves all kinds of trees especially big ones. It saves water by not subjecting it to evaporation. It prevents weeds from growing and facilitates transporting fertilizers and other nutrients directly to the roots with water. This makes it easier to make use of every drop of water, fertilizers, iron chelates and other materials. The result is saving in water, in fertilizers and medicines, and it fully protects from fungal diseases, pests, and prevents the growth of weeds. These advantages are achieved due to the prevention of the spread of humidity on the surface of soil. It is exactly similar to intravenous serum injection in human beings which transports medicines, food, and liquids to the body through the vein. Roots receive water direct from a central pump through a filter via a main hose to secondary hoses, to the injectors direct to the roots as in figures No 9 and 13.
  • the injector is made of a cylindrical body 20 cm long, 13cm in diameter. 60% of its lower body is perforated. The injector is fully sealed with a cap. Connectors of 10 cm long and 14cm in diameter can be added to help water seep out at greater depths according to the kind of the soil and the age of the trees as in figures (1 and 17).
  • the cylinder is a plastic cylinder 20 cm long and 13cm in diameter. 60 % of its lower body is perforated all round to the bottom. The bottom is concave towards the inside up like a dome. It is so designed to prevent roots penetrate the injector. This will be explained in details later.

  • the injectors, the connectors, the caps and seals are all made of polypropylene, which is anti-oxidant, anti acid, anti-corrosion and anti erosion in the soil. This means that injectors live long as the trees themselves. Parts of the system are all manufactured by injection using metallic molds specially designed for this purpose. Molds are installed on plastic injection machines to produce the cylinders, connectors and caps. These are usually packed in cartoon boxes for shipping.
  • Lands are different in structure and make up according to the climate environment. But, generally, surface layers are loose at depths of 30-60 cm either by reason of plowing and agricultural activities or because of rain and weather conditions.

  • the regulator is automatic with accurate standards of water flowing from 2 liters to 16 liters per hour. It is cheap and available from local and foreign suppliers. It calibrates the flow of water automatically regardless of the pressure of the water grid. For example, if it is calibrated to give 10 liters of water, it gives this amount accurately. Figures 16 and 17.
  • the water grid should have a pressure of 1 bar,1.5 bar or 2 bars. Water and pressure reach the injector through a flexible plastic hose. Because the injector is tightly closed, and when the soil doesn't absorb all the water in the injector, water level rises in the injector to cover all the holes around it. The pressure of the water grid will force water to seep out of the injector to the soil, and then to the roots of the tree.
