Abstract

La présente invention concerne des dispositifs, des systèmes et des procédés d'identification de point d'extrémité de ligne électrique. La présente invention consiste à déterminer un emplacement d'un ou de plusieurs dispositifs couplés à une ligne électrique dans un système de distribution d'énergie. Selon un aspect, un signal de synchronisation est inséré par une source à partir d'un point unique sur la ligne électrique. En raison des variations des distances entre le point où la source est couplée à la ligne électrique et l'emplacement des dispositifs couplés à la ligne électrique, le signal de synchronisation a un temps d'arrivée différent pour chaque dispositif. Ce temps d'arrivée différent pour chaque dispositif peut être utilisé pour déterminer une valeur de synchronisation unique, ou un identifiant unique, pour chaque dispositif couplé à la ligne électrique.
