Abstract

The present invention relates to a specific antibody against the phosphorylated serine at position 157 of the U3KQK0 protein. Said selective binding is indicative of the existence of DNA double-strand breaks in cells. Furthermore, the present invention relates to products and applications based on this technology, which aims at detecting in a sample the existence of DNA double-strand breaks in cells, as well as quantification of DNA double-strand breaks.
