- Whether to use digital beam forming, analog beam forming, or hybrid beam forming when performing signal beam forming transmission using a multi-element transmission antenna depends on the implementation. However, the radio signal introduced into the radio section of the fifth generation mobile communication system is required not to depend on these beam forming methods. That is, even if the type of beamforming method used on the base station side is unknown at the terminal, it is required that the terminal can receive a radio signal transmitted by beamforming.
- Hybrid beam forming is a combination of digital beam forming and analog beam forming.
- the number of beams transmitted at the same time can be varied by making the setting content of the phase matrix given between the antenna elements appropriate. As the number of beams increases, the power allocated to one beam decreases and the beam reach decreases, and when the power allocated to one beam is the same, the beam reach decreases as the beam width increases. .
- the beam width and the number of sweeps are considered to depend on the implementation considering the cell size, the configuration of the transmission antenna, the radio carrier frequency, and the like.

- the conventional technology cannot specify the number of beams transmitted in beam sweeping for the synchronization signal received by the terminal. For this reason, in the prior art, the terminal cannot achieve frame synchronization based on a synchronization signal transmitted from the base station by beam sweeping.
- the terminal cyclically shifts the code sequence of each synchronization signal transmitted by the base station by beam sweeping according to the time difference from the frame boundary, so that the terminal The frame boundary can be specified by the cyclic shift amount.
- the terminal identifies the RA transmission timing based on the cyclic shift amount of the received code sequence by cyclically shifting the code sequence of each discovery signal transmitted by the base station by beam sweeping according to the time difference from the frame boundary. Is possible.
- the present invention can be applied not only to the specification of the frame boundary based on the synchronization signal and the specification of the RA transmission timing based on the discovery signal.
- the cyclic shift amount of the code string of the synchronization signal may be associated with the time relationship between the synchronization signal and another signal.
- the terminal can specify the time when another signal is transmitted based on the cyclic shift amount of the received synchronization signal and the timing at which the synchronization signal is received.
- the cyclic shift amount of the code string of the synchronization signal may be associated with the frequency relationship between the synchronization signal and another signal. Accordingly, the terminal can specify the frequency at which another signal is transmitted based on the cyclic shift amount of the received synchronization signal and the frequency at which the synchronization signal is received.
- the cyclic shift amount of the code string of the synchronization signal may be associated with the relationship between the synchronization signal and a specific carrier frequency. Accordingly, the terminal can specify a specific carrier frequency based on the cyclic shift amount of the received synchronization signal and the frequency at which the synchronization signal is received.
- the cyclic shift amount of the code string of the synchronization signal is associated with the relationship between the time and frequency of the synchronization signal and another signal or the relationship with a specific carrier frequency
- the cyclic shift amount of the code string of the discovery signal may be associated with the relationship between the discovery signal and other signals in time or frequency, or the relationship with a specific carrier frequency.

Description
LTEはLong Term Evolutionの略である。
Nokia、Alcatel-Lucent Shanghai Bell、"Support for Beam Based Common Control Plane"、3GPP、R1-165364
同期信号は、たとえばLTEにおけるPSS(Primary Synchronization Signal:プライマリ同期信号)やSSS(Secondary Synchronization Signal:セカンダリ同期信号)である。

同期信号を送信可能な無線リソースは、たとえば同期信号をOFDM(Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing:直交周波数分割多重)により送信する場合はOFDMシンボルである。

FFTはFast Fourier Transform(高速フーリエ変換)の略である。

RFはRadio Frequency(高周波)の略である。
