Description
This invention relates to a glass holder suitable for use in dishwashers.
In dishwashers, washing is realized by spraying of water over items to be washed. Performance increase is allowed by decreasing the washing process duration through high water flow rate. However, items are sometimes dashed due to impact of sprayed water. This situation may lead to damage on fragile items. Such fragile items have to be placed carefully in a washing cabinet in order to avoid being damaged in the dishwasher. Therefore, several holder compartments have been developed, allowing fixing of fragile items in the washing cabinet. Wineglasses are usually placed in glass racks in washing cabinets. Several holders have been developed on the glass racks for wineglass washing purpose. However, when not used, such holders occupy excessive space in a washing cabinet. Therefore, various portable glass washing accessories placed in the washing cabinet are used. The glass washing accessories are removed from the washing cabinet when not needed. However, wine glass washing accessories having large surfaces for the purpose of placing a sufficient amount of wine glasses thereon, occupy too much space when not used also outside the dishwasher. This situation causes user dissatisfaction.
State of the art international patent application document no. WO2016034200 mentions a portable wine glass holder suitable for use in a dishwasher, that is portable and is enabled to occupy a small space when not used.
The aim of this invention is to realize a portable glass holder that can be used in dishwashers.

The holder members enable the grasping of the glass at its stem and the fixing of the glass on the glass holder.
The bowl portion of the glass bears against the support members. Thus, an increase in drying performance is enabled.
The glass holder subject of the invention comprises glass holder units wherein at least one of them is movable with respect to the other. The glass holder units are connected to each other in a joining region. The glass holder units can be moved with respect to each other by the joining region.
In an embodiment of the invention, the glass holder has an open and a closed position. The glass holder units rotate in the joining region and thereby enable the glass holder to be displaced between the open position and the closed position. When the glass holder is in open position, it is suitable for placing a glass. When it is in closed position, the glass holder is enabled to occupy a small place.
In an embodiment of the invention, the glass holder comprises a holder member that is integral with the glass holder unit. The holder member is fixed at the glass holder unit. The holder member can be an extension of the glass holder unit.
In an embodiment of the invention, when the glass holder is in open position, the stem and the bowl portion of the glass are situated on different glass holder units. Thus, ease in use and lower place occupation of the glass holder is enabled.
In an embodiment of the invention, the glass holder comprises a holder member attachable onto and detachable from the glass holder units. The user can remove the holder member at will.
In an embodiment of the invention, the glass holder comprises glass holder units that can rotate by engaging in each other with its edges. Thus, no extra assembly elements are used and ease of assembly is enabled.
In an embodiment of the invention, the glass holder comprises a glass holder unit with the shape of a frame. The frame shape can be easily cleaned and it increases the drying and washing performances.
In an embodiment of the invention, the glass holder comprises an L-formed glass holder unit. As the space in which the glasses are placed is extended, more secure washing is enabled.
In an embodiment of the invention, the glass holder comprises a plurality of protrusions arranged on the support member. Thanks to these protrusions, the bowl portion of the glass is enabled to be fixed at the support member.
