Abstract

The present invention relates to a wine glass holder (1 ) suitable for use in a dishwasher, comprising a body (2), a plurality of holder members (3) arranged on the body (2), grasping wine glasses from their stem portions, and a support member (4) arranged on the body (2), on which the bowl portion of wine glasses are placed.

Description

A WINE GLASS HOLDER SUITABLE FOR USE IN A DISHWASHER

The present invention relates to a wine glass holder used in dishwashers.

In dishwashers, washing is performed by spraying water on the items to be washed. Performance increase is allowed by decreasing the washing process duration through high water flow rate. However, items are sometimes dashed due to the impact of sprayed water. This situation may lead to damage on fragile items. Such fragile items require being placed carefully in a washing cabinet in order to avoid being damaged in the dishwasher. Therefore, several holder compartments have been developed enabling fixing of fragile items in a washing cabinet. Wine glasses are usually placed in glass racks in washing cabinets. Several holders have been developed on glass racks wine glasses washing purpose. However, when not used, such holders occupy excessive space in a washing cabinet. Therefore, various portable wine glass washing accessories placed in a washing cabinet are used. Wine glass washing accessories are removed from the washing cabinet when not needed. However, wine glass washing accessories having large surfaces for the purpose of placing a sufficient amount of wine glasses thereon, occupy too much space when not used. This situation causes user discontent.

State of the art international patent application document no. WO2016034200 mentions a portable wine glass holder suitable for use in a dishwasher, which is enabled to occupy a small space when not used.

The aim of the present invention is to realize a wine glass holder which can be used in dishwashers.

The wine glass holder realized to achieve the aim of the present invention and disclosed in the claims, comprises a body and a support member. Holder members enabling grasping of a wine glass at its stem portion are arranged on the body. The bowl portion of the wine glass is placed on the support member. By this, wine glasses are prevented from being damaged during washing.

The wine glass holder of the invention comprises a support member having an open position and a closed position. The support member is brought to open position during washing to enable placement of wine glasses thereon. The wine glass holder can be stored out of the dishwasher when not used during washing process. Therefore, the support member is brought to closed position by folding when the wine glass holder is not used. By this, the wine glass holder is prevented from occupying place.

In an embodiment of the invention, the wine glass holder comprises a support member vertical to the pillars in open position.

In an embodiment of the invention, the wine glass holder comprises a support member in parallel with the pillars in closed position. By this, the wine glass holder is enabled to occupy minimal space.

In an embodiment of the invention, the wine glass holder comprises at least one locking member arranged on the pillars. The first locking member enables fixing the support member on the body in open position.

In an embodiment of the invention, the wine glass holder comprises at least one recess arranged on the support member, and at least one protrusion arranged on the body. When the support member is in open position, the protrusions rest on the recesses and enable the support member to be fixed on the body.

In an embodiment of the invention, the wine glass holder comprises an opening arranged on the body. When the support member is desired to be brought to closed position, it is fixed on the body by being passed through the opening.

In an embodiment of the invention, the wine glass holder comprises a channel arranged on the pillars. The support member is placed on the channel in closed position.

In an embodiment of the invention, the wine glass holder comprises at least one second locking member provided on the body, and at least one seat arranged on the support member. The second locking member rests on the seat when the support member is in closed position. By this, the support member is fixed on the body in closed position.

In an embodiment of the invention, the support member comprises a seat arranged on both ends of the surfaces of the support member contacting the pillars in closed position. Thus, ease of use is provided.

The wine glass holder (1) suitable for use in a dishwasher, comprises a body (2) having two mutual pillars (12) and a crosspiece (13) extending between the pillars, a plurality of holder members (3) arranged on the crosspiece (13), grasping wine glasses from their stem portions, and a support member (4) arranged on the body (2), on which the bowl portion of wine glasses are placed. The wine glass holder (1) has a portable structure. When not used, the wine glass holder can be stored out of the dishwasher. The wine glasses are enabled to be fixed on the wine glass holder (1) thanks to the holders. By this, wine glasses are prevented from being damaged during washing.

The wine glass holder (1) of the invention comprises a support member (4) attachable on and detachable from the body (2) in an open position (A) where the support member is attached vertically to the pillars (12) for placement of wine glasses thereon, and in a closed position (K) where the support member is attached between the pillars (12) in parallel with the pillars (12). The position of the support member (4) is changed by detaching it from the body (2). The wine glass holder (1) can be used when the support member (4) is in open position (A). The closed position (K) is storage position. By this, ease of use and minimal space occupation are provided.

In an embodiment of the invention, the wine glass holder (1) comprises a support member (4) forming an angle of 90° with the pillars (12) in open position. The support member (4) is placed between the pillars (12) so as to be in parallel with the ground in open position (A). By this, the bowl portions of the wine glasses rest on the support member (4) when wine glasses are placed thereon, enabling secure washing of the wine glasses.

In an embodiment of the invention, the wine glass holder (1) comprises a support member (4) placed between the pillars (12) by being detached from the body (2) when not used. The support member (4) is placed between the pillars (12) by being detached from the body (2) in closed position (K). By this, the wine glass holder (1) occupies a space only as much as the volume of the body (2).

In an embodiment of the invention, the wine glass holder (1) comprises at least one first locking member (5) arranged on the pillars, enabling fixing of the support member (4) on the body (2) in open position (A). The support member (4) is placed horizontally between the pillars (12) in open position (A). The first locking member (5) extends over the pillars (12) towards onto the support member (4) and enables fixing of the support member (4) on the body (2). By this, the safety of the wine glasses during washing is enhanced.

In an embodiment of the invention, the wine glass holder (1) comprises at least one recess (6) arranged in the region where the support member (4) contacts the pillars (12) in open position (A), and at least one protrusion (7) arranged on the body base (T) resting on the recesses (6). The protrusions (7) engage the recesses (6) when the first locking member (5) extends onto the support member (4). By this, the support member (4) is enabled to rest balanced on the body (2). The wine glass holder (1) is prevented from tumbling when the user loads wine glasses to a single side on the support member (4).

In an embodiment of the invention, the wine glass holder (1) comprises an opening (8) arranged on the body base (T), enabling placement of the support member (4) between the pillars in closed position (K). The opening (8) arranged on the body base (T) is of a size large enough so that the support member (4) can pass through. The support member (4) passes through the opening (8) when it takes closed position (K) and is placed between the pillars (12).

In an embodiment of the invention, the wine glass holder (1) comprises a channel (9) arranged on the pillars (12), enabling placement of the support member (4) thereon in closed position. While taking closed position (K) the support member (4), is passed through the opening (8) and advances along the channel (9). The support member (4) stays on the channel (9) in closed position (K).

In an embodiment of the invention, the wine glass holder (1) comprises at least one second locking member (10) arranged on the channel (9), enabling fixing of the support member (4) on the body (2) in closed position (K), and at least one seat (11) arranged on the support member (4) and on which the second locking member (10) is placed. The wine glass holder (1) can be carried in one piece when the support member (4) is in closed position (K), thanks to resting of the second locking member (10) provided on the channel (9), to the seat (11) arranged on the support member (4).

In an embodiment of the invention, the wine glass holder (1) comprises a seat (11) arranged on both ends of the surfaces of the support member (4) contacting the pillars (12) in closed position (K). By this, ease of use is provided when the support member (4) is brought to closed position (K) by the user.

With the invention, a portable and foldable wine glass holder (1) is realized which is suitable for use in a dishwasher. By this, the wine glasses are prevented from being dashed and damaged during washing in a dishwasher. The wine glass holder (1) can be stored out of the dishwasher when not used. The support member (4) provided on the wine glass holder (1), on which the wine glasses are placed has an open (A) and a closed (K) position. The support member (4) is in open position (A) when in use. When not used, it is enabled to occupy minimal space by being brought to closed position (K).

Claims

A wine glass holder (1) suitable for use in a dishwasher, comprising

- a body (2) having two mutual pillars (12) and a crosspiece (13) extending between the pillars (12),

- a plurality of holder members (3) arranged on the crosspiece (13), grasping wine glasses from their stem portions, and

- a support member (4) placed on the body (2) on which the bowl portion of wine glasses are placed, characterized in that, the support member (4) is attachable on and detachable from the body (2),

- in an open position (A) where the support member is attached vertically to the pillars (12) for placement of wine glasses thereon, and

- in a closed position (K) where the support member is attached between the pillars (12) in parallel with the pillars (12).
The wine glass holder (1) according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that, at least one first locking member (5) arranged on the pillars (12), enables fixing of the support member (4) on the body (2) in open position (A).
The wine glass holder (1) according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that at least one recess (6) is arranged in the region where the support member (4) contacts the pillars (12) in open position (A), and in that at least one protrusion (7) is arranged on the body base (T) resting on the recesses (6).
The wine glass holder (1) according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that, an opening (8) arranged on the body base (T), enables placement of the support member (4) between the pillars (12) in closed position (K).
The wine glass holder (1) according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that, the support member (4) is placed on a channel (9) arranged on the pillars (12) in closed position (K).
The wine glass holder (1) according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that, at least one second locking member (10) provided on the channel (9), enables fixing of the support member (4) on the body (2) in closed position (K), and in that the second locking member (10) is placed on at least one seat (11) arranged on the support member (4).
The wine glass holder (1) according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that, the seat (11) is arranged on both ends of the surfaces of the support member (4) contacting the pillars (12) in closed position (K).
