Abstract

A vehicle safety seat (1) includes first and second side members (2, 3) joined together by a collapsible support portion (4). The support portion (4) includes a plurality of collapsible cells (51) described by interconnected load bearing wall portions (52). The seat (1) has a collapsed condition in which the side members (2, 3) lie adjacent to one another with the support portion (4) collapsed therebetween and an expanded condition in which the support portion (4) is expanded and edges of the load bearing wall portions (52) are configured to support a user.
