If there is movement in the rock face 22, the forces are such that in the absence of the gripping assemblage, the grip of the washer on the anchor would fail and the fastener would come off the anchor, leaving the mesh 30 unsupported at this locality. However, the movement of the rock face has the effect of actuating the wedge etements 58 to pivotally move radially Inwardly to grip the anchor along the length of each element, aided by the ridges 81.

Abstract

L'invention concerne un dispositif de verrouillage par pression qui comprend: un cylindre présentant une extrémité avant et une extrémité arrière entre lesquelles un passage conique s'étend au moins partiellement; un moyen de préhension logé dans le passage; une ouverture cylindrique ménagée à l'intérieur du moyen de préhension pour recevoir une ancre pour la roche en cours d'utilisation; une formation de retenue ménagée dans le passage entre le moyen de préhension et l'extrémité arrière et comportant un trou aligné sur l'ouverture. Un périmètre du trou est adapté pour venir en contact de frottement avec l'ancre pour la roche lorsque le dispositif est pressé contre celle-ci à partir de l'extrémité avant. Le moyen de préhension est adapté pour saisir l'ancre pour la roche lorsque celle-ci se déplace par rapport au cylindre.
