Abstract

Provided are an aquatic organism production infrastructure system and an aquatic organism production method that enable the reproduction of marine ecosystems in a marine environment formed separated from the natural ocean, and the construction of a new type of industrial base for marine fisheries. The system is provided with: water intake cells 6A to 6C for holding seawater (subsurface seawater, deep ocean water, common coastal water, and the like) taken in through a seawater intake opening; rearing canals 29A to 29E for providing a growing environment for the aquatic organisms; processing cells 26A, 26B, 27A, 27a, 27B, 27b, 28 for feeding and harvesting the aquatic organisms in accordance with the growth conditions of the aquatic organisms; and a plurality of environment cells 11 for breeding the aquatic organisms. The appropriate location is selected and production is carried out in accordance with the products serving as the respective targets of primary production (basic production), secondary production, tertiary production, and quaternary production that are the aquatic organism production processes, and feeding and harvesting are conducted at the appropriate location. A spatial body having a complete reproduction of an original marine environment in which multiple aquatic organisms can live and grow is installed on land.
