Abstract

The invention relates to a control system for actuating two control pistons (14 and 15), which interact with an adjusting element, for a device for changing the compression ratio of a cylinder unit of a reciprocating-piston internal combustion engine. The adjusting element is arranged in a connecting-rod eye of a connecting rod and can be adjusted between two different positions, in which the control pistons (14 and 15), which are guided in supporting cylinders (19 and 20), are in a retracted or extended position. In this case, the associated pressure chambers (21 and 22) are connected to a switching device, so that one of the two oil lines (24, 25) can be selectively relieved of pressure by means of the switching device. The switching device comprises a directional control valve (29) which controls both control pistons (14 and 15), and a control slide of the directional control valve (29) is displaced into its two switching positions and held in them via a fluid line (26) originating from the connecting rod bearing (23) exclusively by at least two different control pressures in the interaction with a return spring (37).
