- Welding is a metal processing that joins two or more solid metals into one.
- a high energy heat source is required for welding, and high-pressure and explosive gases such as high voltage electricity, oxygen, acetylene, and argon are used as such energy sources.
- the hazards and dangers caused by welding are due to the welding fume (metal components contained in the fume) or harmful gases, harmful rays, noise, and high temperature environment generated during welding.
- the welding fume refers to a small particle formed by the cooling of a material evaporated by heat during welding, and is caused by the diffusion of molten metal vapor around by high temperature arc generation heat. The relationship tends to increase with increasing current, voltage, and electrode diameter.
- the harmful gas generated by welding has not been noticed as much as the welding fume, the recognition of the hazard is lower than the welding fume.
- harmful gases such as ozone, nitrogen oxides, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, hydrogen fluoride, phosgene, phosphine, products by pyrolysis of paints and coating components, and so must be as careful as welding fumes.
- General electric respirator consists of an automatic welding surface, a motor, a battery, a hose, a blowing fan, a filter, etc., and is usually sold at a high price of about 100 to 1.5 million won. This is because the existing motorized breathing apparatus is connected to the automatic welding surface through the hose and continuously supplies a certain amount of purified air to the automatic welding surface. Therefore, the motor, battery, filter, etc. are quite large and expensive products must be used. to be.
- Electric respirator uses welding fumes, harmful dust and harmful odors, odors and workplaces where respiratory infectious diseases occur. It filters the outside air polluted by its own power and supplies it to workers by filtering it.
