Description

SAFETY RAILING FOR FORMWORK FOR FLOOR SLABS
The present invention relates to a safety railing for formwork for floor slabs.
This system has the aim of building a vertical barrier to be applied to formwork systems in order to create suitable working conditions during the assembly of said system.
It is known that formwork systems for floor slabs can be composed of elements such as vertical props, supporting heads applied to the upper end thereof, load-bearing beams that connect two props, and formwork panels which are assembled between one load-bearing beam and the other.
Known vertical protection systems that can be applied to formwork for floor slabs currently are composed of elements which are applied generally to the load-bearing beams or to the formwork panels.
One drawback of currently known systems of this type is the fact that they can be moved only with mechanical and non-manual lifting means, which slows the installation operations of these systems at the building site, consequently entailing an increase in building site times and therefore of the costs for the building company.
One further drawback of currently known systems of this type is the fact that they can be assembled to the formwork system for floor slabs by virtue of mechanisms which are often complicated and scarcely convenient from the practical standpoint, which slows the operations for installing these systems at the building side, consequently entailing an increase in building site times and therefore of the costs for the building company in addition to increasing the risk from the point of view of correct installation and therefore compromising the level of safety ensured to workers.
A further drawback of currently known systems of this type is that they have a rather limited field of application, since they do not have a complete technical solution from the point of view of vertical protection, as it is usually necessary to provide with other systems, which are expensive and slow to perform, the completion of the protection on each side of the formwork system.
The aim of the present invention is to provide a railing that has a reduced space occupation and weight and can be moved not necessarily with mechanical lifting means.
Within this aim, an object of the present invention is to provide a railing that is very simple and can be managed with mechanisms that are easy to handle.
A further object of the present invention is to provide a railing that allows to perform multiple applications, specifically to provide a vertical protection that is complete, allows to protect any side of the formwork system and therefore makes the work step safe for workers in every respect.
This aim, as well as these and other objects that will become better apparent hereinafter are achieved by a safety railing for formwork for floor slabs according to claim 1.
Further characteristics and advantages of the invention will become better apparent from the description of two preferred but not exclusive embodiments of the safety railing for formwork for floor slabs according to the invention, illustrated by way of nonlimiting example in the accompanying drawings, wherein:
Figure 1 is a perspective view of a formwork system with two railings according to the invention;
Figure 2 is a perspective view of a first component of a railing according to the invention in a first embodiment of said invention;
Figure 3 is a perspective view of a second component of a railing according to the invention according to the first embodiment of said invention;
Figure 4 is a partially sectional side view of a railing according to the invention in a first embodiment thereof;
Figure 5 is a perspective view of a component of a railing according to the invention in a second embodiment thereof;
Figure 6 is a view of the operation of the component of Figure 5;
Figure 7 is a view of the application to a formwork panel of the component of Figure 5.
With reference to the figures, a safety railing for formwork for floor slabs is generally designated in its first embodiment by the reference numeral 10.
The railing 10 comprises, in the described example:
- at least two supporting posts 1 1, 12 for one or more anti-fall protection elements, for example a grid 13,
- for each post 11, 12, a post supporting bracket 16 and 17 respectively, provided with clamp means 18 for reversible engagement with the side 19 of a load-bearing beam 20,
- the clamp means 18 have a closure system of the wedge type 22. Specifically, the post supporting bracket 16 and 17 is clearly visible in Figure 2, which shows by way of example a post supporting bracket 16, the other post supporting bracket 17 being understood to be identical.
The post supporting bracket 16 comprises, with respect to a configuration for use, a load-bearing longitudinal element 24, which is constituted for example by a tube 25 having a quadrangular cross-section from which a coupling tube 26, for example having a round cross-section, for a post 11 and 12, protrudes upward.
The clamp means 18 are fixed to the load-bearing longitudinal element 24.
The clamp means 18 comprise
- a lower resting plate 27, which is supported by a horizontal tubular segment 28 that is fixed to the load-bearing longitudinal element 24,
- and the wedge-type closure system 22, which is fixed in an upper region of the load-bearing longitudinal element 24. The resting plate is preset to rest against the lower surface 30 of a load-bearing beam 20, while the wedge-type closure system 22 acts against the upper surface 31 of the load-bearing beam 20, as in Figure 4.
The wedge-type closure system 22 comprises a tubular guiding body 32, which is constituted for example by a tubular segment having a quadrangular cross-section, with a vertical axis in the configuration for use, and a translation slider 33, which is arranged so as to slide vertically in the tubular guiding body 32.
The translation slider 33, which is constituted for example by a tubular segment having a quadrangular cross- section, supports at the lower end a pusher and engagement element 35, which is adapted to be pressed against the upper surface 31 of the load-bearing beam 20.
The downward movement of the translation slider 33 is provided by means of a wedge-shaped body 34, which is inserted in a transverse direction with respect to the vertical direction of translation of the slider 33, said wedge-shaped body 34 being inserted in corresponding through openings formed respectively in the guiding body 32 and in the slider 33.
In a per se known manner, the inclined side of the wedge-shaped body 34 acts by pushing against a corresponding edge or rim of the through opening on the translation slider 33, while the opposite horizontal side of the wedge-shaped body 34 rests against the upper edge or rim of the through opening 36 on the guiding body 32.
During assembly, therefore, the wedge-shaped body 34 is in a partially extracted configuration and the translation slider 33 is in a free configuration and can be lifted manually during engagement of the post supporting bracket 16 to a load-bearing beam 20; when the bracket 16 is positioned correctly on the load-bearing beam 20, as shown in Figure 4, by striking the wedge-shaped body 34 the slider 33 is pushed, with the pusher and engagement element 35, against the upper surface 31 of the load- bearing beam, causing the closure of the clamp means 18. In the present constructive example described herein, the pusher and engagement element 35 is constituted by a cylindrical body, for example a tubular segment or a segment of solid metal rod.
Advantageously, the load-bearing longitudinal element 24 also has two centering spacing protrusions 40 and 41 , which are each constituted for example by a segment of a square tube arranged horizontally; the centering spacing protrusions 40 and 41 are arranged so as to rest against the external longitudinal lateral ridges 43 and 44 of the load-bearing beam 20, so as to prevent unwanted vertical movements of the bracket 16 with respect to the load-bearing beam 20 even in case of a wedge-type system 22 that is not operational and therefore if the clamp means 18 are not closed.
These centering spacing protrusions 40 and 41 are adapted to rest also against the outer surface of the side 19, thus determining the distance of the load-bearing longitudinal element 24 from said side 19 of the load-bearing beam 20.
The coupling tube 26 is engaged in the post 1 1 and 12.
By way of example, the post 1 1 is shown in Figure 3, it being understood that the other posts 12 are identical.
The post 11 comprises, in the example described herein, a tubular body 45; the tubular body 45, for example having a quadrangular cross- section, is provided on a first side with a lower resting brace 46 for a mesh or grid 13 or other similar anti-fall protection element, and on a second side with three L-shaped braces, respectively 47, 48 and 49, fixed so as to be spaced in a vertical direction, each of which cooperates with a symmetrical L-shaped brace of another post 12 to the support of an anti-fall board 1 13, 114 and 1 15, as shown in Figure 1.
At the upper end of the post 11 there is an engagement protrusion 53, indeed for the engagement of a corresponding upper portion of a grid 13.
Figure 4 shows schematically a grid 13.
The anti-fall grid 13 is provided with a vertical central mesh 55, an inclined lower flap 56, for resting on the brace 46, and an inclined upper flap 57 for engagement with the engagement protrusions 53 of the various posts 11 and 12.
In a second embodiment of the railing according to the invention, shown in Figures 5 to 7 and designated therein by the reference numeral 110, the posts, 11 1 and 112 in Figure 1 , remain the same as in the first embodiment, and therefore identical to the posts 11 and 12.
The posts 1 11 and 112 are exemplified in Figure 1 as supporting anti- fall boards 113, 114 and 115, by virtue of the different arrangement on the post supporting brackets 116 and 117 with respect to the positioning of the identical posts 11 and 12 in the above-described first embodiment of the invention.
By rotating the assembly configuration of the posts 11 and 12 through 90° one in fact achieves the arrangement of the L-shaped braces 47, 48 and 49 to support the boards 113, 1 14 and 1 15, as visible for the posts 11 1 and 112 in Figure 1.
In this second embodiment of the invention, each post supporting bracket 116 and 117, for example the bracket 1 16 of Figures 5 and 6, comprises, with respect to a configuration for use, a load-bearing longitudinal element 124, constituted for example by a tube 125 having a quadrangular cross-section from which a coupling tube 126, for example having a round cross-section, for a post 111 and 112, protrudes upward.
The clamp means 118 are fixed to the load-bearing longitudinal element 124.
The clamp means 118 are adapted to act by closure in a horizontal direction in the configuration for use and not vertically as in the first embodiment of the invention.
The clamp means 118 comprise
- a first plate-like resting body 127, which is vertical, is supported by the load-bearing longitudinal element 124, and is adapted to rest against the outer face 160 of a perimetric profile 161 of a formwork panel 121 ;
- and the wedge-type closure system 122, which is fixed below the load-bearing longitudinal element 124 and is adapted to move a second plate-like body 163, which is arranged opposite the first plate-like body 127 and is adapted to define the grip of the clamp means 118 by encountering the internal face of the perimetric profile 161 of the panel 121.
The wedge-type closure system 122 comprises a tubular guiding body 132, which is constituted for example by a tubular segment having a quadrangular cross-section, with a horizontal axis in the configuration for use, and a translation slider 133, which is arranged so as to slide horizontally in the tubular guiding body 132.
The translation slider 133, constituted for example by a tubular segment having a quadrangular cross-section, bears at one end the second plate-like body 163.
The second plate-like body 163 is constituted by two metal plates which are contoured and bent so as to form a substantially T-shaped contour and comprise two opposite planar portions which face the first plate-like body 127.
The first plate-like body 127 is constituted, for example, by a tubular body having a flattened quadrangular cross-section.
The lateral displacement, toward the internal face of the profile 161, of the translation slider 133 is provided by means of a wedge-shaped body 134, which is inserted in a transverse direction with respect to the direction of translational motion of the slider 133, the wedge-shaped body 134 being inserted in corresponding through openings which are formed respectively in the guiding body 132 and in the slider 133, in a manner similar to what has been described above for the first embodiment of the invention.
In practice it has been found that the invention achieves the intended aim and objects.
In particular, the invention provides a railing with reduced space occupation and weight which can be handled not necessarily with mechanical lifting means, since the post supporting brackets, the posts and the grids or the anti-fall boards are all components that can be managed easily by a single operator or at the most by two operators, without the need to resort to particular lifting means.
Moreover, the invention provides a railing that is very simple and can be managed with mechanisms that are easy to handle, by virtue of the wedge-type closure system of the clamp means, which can be managed easily with adapted hammers or sledgehammers.
Furthermore, the invention provides a railing that allows to perform multiple applications, specifically to provide a vertical protection that is complete, allows to protect any side of the formwork system and therefore renders the work step safe for workers in every respect, since it can be provided by means of post supporting brackets which are adapted for fixing to a load-bearing beam or by means of post supporting brackets which are adapted for fixing to a frame profile of a formwork panel.
The invention thus conceived is susceptible of numerous modifications and variations, all of which are within the scope of the appended claims; all the details may further be replaced with other technically equivalent elements.
In practice, the components and materials used, so long as they are compatible with the specific use, as well as the contingent shapes and dimensions, may be any according to the requirements and the state of the art.
