Description
Spreading apparatus of anti-skid mixture
Technical field of the invention
The invention relates to a spreading apparatus of anti-skid mixture consisting of a circumferential casing equipped with a filling hole and at least one rotary spreading blade. Background of the invention
So far the increase in adhesion of the wheels of road motor vehicles in case of driving on icy road has been achieved with the use of classic metal chains whose major drawback is the need for their frequent replacements with respect to current road conditions.
Another existing possibility of the increase in adhesion of the wheels of road motor vehicles when riding on icy road is the use of so called liquid chains to be sprayed on the circumference of the wheels of road motor vehicles before a ride. However, this solution is characterized by a very short-time and relatively low effect.
The third existing possibility of the increase in adhesion of the wheels of road motor vehicles when driving on icy road is constructional mechanism of modern road motor vehicles known as ABS, AS and ESP abbreviations that undoubtedly increase road safety the most compared to the above mentioned possibilities when driving a motor vehicle on icy road. However, their major drawback is their low effectiveness in sever exposure.
The closest technical solution to the proposed solution of the present application among the opposed documents is the utility model registered under document number CZ 13613 entitled "Piskomet" ("Sand-thrower") from 2003. Its most important feature in terms of the content of the patent claims is the evaluation unit for evaluating of the fluid pressure ratio within the brake system in relation to the decrease in the wheel speed of a road vehicle, thus determining the value of the coefficient of friction of the tire against the road surface, which is characterized in that the switching program of the evaluation unit is set to the friction values in a predetermined range only.
Based on the data processed by the evaluation unit the gritting material is dumped in front of the wheel of the motor vehicle in dependence on the values of pressure sensors within brake system in relation to the decrease in the wheel speed, thereby achieving an increased road safety, especially in the winter period.
Its major disadvantage is that the apparatus is not capable of perpendicular gritting of the anti-skid mixture to the road surface, thereby essentially reducing adhesion of the wheels of road vehicles in relation to the icy or otherwise slippery road. This then results in the formation of undesirable collision situations such as skid of a road vehicle while threatening driver's and passengers' health.
Summary of the invention
The above mentioned drawbacks are substantially eliminated by the spreading apparatus of anti-skid mixture consisting of a circumferential casing equipped with a filling hole and at least one rotary spreading blade. Nature of the invention resides in that at least one rotary spreading unit placed on the driving shaft is connected with the driving unit, and one dumping hole, while the driving shaft with at least one rotary spreading unit is placed vertically within the casing so that the dumping hole is placed on the side of the lower part of the circumferential casing, while the outflow plane of section is essentially perpendicular to the axis of the vertically placed driving shaft, in order to achieve essentially perpendicular direction of dumping of anti-skid mixture to the road surface.
Spreading apparatus of anti-skid mixture according to the invention increases adhesion of the wheels of the road motor vehicles in large extent in case of icy road surface which substantially increases safety of the road traffic, while the proposed apparatus can be connected to currently existing mechanisms like ABS, ASR or ESP.
Unlike the nature of the concerned opposed solution, an advantage of the proposed solution resides in that the anti-skid mixture is dumped under a road vehicle's wheels in a direction essentially perpendicular to the road surface, which guarantees that gritting mixture gets directly under the wheels of road vehicles in extreme weather conditions, especially during strong gusty wind without being blown away off-track of wheels of going motor vehicles, which is not resolved by the opposed device CZ 13613 and therein lies a significant disadvantage.
Brief description of the drawings
The invention will be explained with the use of drawing in which Fig.l shows a lateral section through the device according to the invention, consisting of a circumferential casing equipped with a filling hole and at least one rotary spreading blade.
Description of embodiments
Spreading apparatus of anti-skid mixture according to Fig. 1 consists of the circumferential casing 1 equipped with the filling hole 2, at least one rotary spreading blade 3 fastened to the driving shaft 4. The driving shaft 4 is connected to the driving unit, and the dumping hole 5, while the driving shaft 4 with at least one rotary spreading blade 3 is placed vertically within the circumferential casing 1, while the dumping hole 5 is located on the side of the lower part of the circumferential casing 1, while its outflow plane of section is essentially perpendicular to the axis of vertically placed driving shaft 4, in order to achieve essentially perpendicular direction of dumping of anti-skid mixture to the road surface.
The filling hole 2 is located on the side of the upper part of circumferential casing 1, above the dumping hole 5, and the axis of vertically placed driving shaft 4 is essentially identical to axis of symmetry of the circumferential casing 1.
The driving unit is an electric motor driven by compressed air while the driving shaft 4 is connected to the driving unit via a toothed crankshaft while the driving shaft 4 is connected to the driving unit via the chain, and the spreading apparatus of anti-skid mixture is connectable to a central container with anti-skid mixture.
When spreading apparatus of anti-skid mixture is put into operation by a driver, antiskid mixture is brought from the central container through the pipeline into inner space of the circumferential casing 1 through the filling hole 2 by which, after passing of anti-skid mixture through the inner space of circumferential casing 1, this anti-skid mixture reaches at least one rotary spreading blade 3 by which the anti-skid mixture is consequently dispersed across the dumping hole 5 under the wheels of road motor vehicles in essentially perpendicular direction to the road surface.
Industrial applicability
The way of industrial applicability of the proposed solution is given by the fact that the device can be used practically without any additional intervention in the original construction of both old and new types of road vehicles, due to its relatively small size and relatively simple construction, since because the dumping of the anti-skid mixture in the direction substantially perpendicular to the road surface leads to substantially higher antiskid efficiency than the devices reflecting the current state of the art, especially due to increased adhesion of the wheels of road vehicles when driving on icy roads, which in maximal extent increases traffic safety but it also makes a significant contribution to the protection of the driver's and passengers' health in case of possible collision situations on icy road.
