Definitions
- the present invention in general relates to develop a system and methodology for Universal Synchronous Bus (USB) detection and in particular to Universal Synchronous Bus detection using Smart devices.
- USB Universal Synchronous Bus
- USB flash memories Impact of technology, on flash drives, is cyclopean and this impact brought us to a size of a dime, so that they can be easily misplaced or lost. Hence a need for detection is arises for such small devices.
- US 7416424 Bl discuss technique for keeping pen drive cap intact with the device so that it will not be misplaced.
- the invention is a flash drive cap attachment system comprising a cap strip connected to a flexible cord, Which is also connected to a body strip.
- the attachment system attaches to both the body and cap of a USB ?ash drive.
- the main feature of this invention is to eliminate the loss of the removable cap.
- US 6733329 B2 invention relates to a USB flash drive includes a mobile storage device and at least one interconnector.
- the mobile storage device is provided with a built-in circuit board having a connector at one end thereof.
- the connector is in connection with a controller and a flash memory to create an electrical connection.
- the connection interface of the connector just outside the housing.
- the interconnector includes a Socket at one end thereof which corresponds to the connector of the mobile Storage device.
- the Outer end of interconnect is constructed as a USB interface fastened into the inside of the housing. Besides, the outer end of USB interface is just outside the housing.
- US 2006/0036872 Al discloses anti-burglary pen drive.
- the objective of the present invention is to provide an anti-burglary USB flash drive with a press- button type electronic combination lock that adopts an IC password circuit without requiring a driver program for achieving the effects of preventing burglary and protecting confidential data stored in the USB flash drive by means of entering a password to a main body of the USB flash drive.
- the invention allows users to connect a USB flash drive to a computer system and enter a correct password into the main body. Then, a programmable logic IC in the main body of the USB flash drive checks the password, and if the password is correct, then the user is permitted to access the data stored in the USB flash drive.
- a correct password entered into the main body of a USB flash drive is used to turn on the USB flash drive for the access by the computer system, and such arrangement can achieve the effects of preventing burglary and protecting the confidential information stored in the USB flash drive. Since the main body comes with press buttons for entering a password, therefore the invention is convenient for the use by general computers.
- US 6671808 Bl uncover A method, apparatus, article of manufacture, and a memory structure for a USB-compliant personal key has been described.
- the personal key includes an integrated connector design that is simple and easy to manufacture, and allows broken or defective connecting pins to be easily replaced.
- the personal key also comprises a biometric sensor for authenticating the identity of the user, and visual and aural sensors for providing information to the user.
- a method of controlling, by using a mobile terminal, at least one Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) device is provided.
- the method includes searching for at least one BLE device, displaying a BLE device list, including the at least one searched for BLE device, on a display unit of the mobile terminal, receiving an input of selection of a BLE device from the BLE device list, receiving an input of user added information from a user regarding the selected BLE device, and mapping and storing property information and the user added information regarding the selected BLE device.
- BLE Bluetooth Low Energy
- 2232/DEL/2013 proposes a methodology for controlling the electrical appliances.
- the apparatus is switching device for power control of electric appliance.
- This device can be operated by either touching it physically or by remotely issuing it commands via wireless bluetooth using external device like a mobile phone.
- a microcontroller is used to interpret the signal sent in via touch or bluetooth and issues commands as per internally programmed algorithm to derive switching action for any electric appliance connected to the device.
- the device is capable of single and multiple switching based on circuit configuration.
- US9280365 B2 discloses system and methods for managing configuration data at disconnected remote device. Described herein are systems and methods for managing configuration data. These are particularly directed towards the management of configuration data in disconnected remote devices of a host system. For example, this may be an access control environment having one or more connected access control devices (i.e.
- the present systems and methods make use of a versioning protocol to allow the reliable distribution of configuration data at the disconnected remote devices, this protocol operating to best ensure the propagation of the most current configuration data.
- Primary object of the present invention is to provide a system and methodology for detecting the misplaced devices or units.
- Another object of the system is to develop universal system for device detection which is suitable to implement in all diversified applications.
- Yet another object of the present invention is to provide a system which enables the traditional devices with wireless connectivity.
- Yet another object of the present invention is to design an interface to facilitate wireless connectivity between two devices.
- Yet another object of the present invention is to equip the unit with inbuilt power source.
- the following invention provides a means for detecting lost devices which are small in size and shape and can be easily misplaced. It can be pen drive, flash drive, a car key or any such element which may misplaced in day today life.
- the system is suitable to apply to almost all equipments or devices which play important role in our day today life and most important they are somehow are connected to the some energy source in cycle.
- an wireless connectivity unit is installed which makes the unit capable to share its existence wirelessly.
- This wireless unit is either bluetooth or Wi-Fi.
- a software program can be installed upon activation of which it will send the IP address and MAC address of the computer to which it is connected.
- Another software algorithm is developed for smart devices so as to facilitate data transaction response initiated from the unit for the smart device. This software algorithm is independent of the smart device version and future developments.
- small power source is also installed which provides power back up when the unit is not connected to any external power source.
- Figure 1 of sheet 1 shows the block diagram of the Device Detection System.
- a wireless connectivity module is proposed to install in the device for wireless connectivity and data transaction with the smart module.
- Wireless connectivity module could be bluetooth or Wi-Fi.
- Wireless connectivity is the revolutionary means through which all type data can be transferred or monitored remotely. For implementation of such wireless data connectivity different means are available few of which mostly used are like bluetooth and wireless fidelity system.
- system allows remote device to connect and initiate pairing with the module.
- the system further allows the remote device to access the current location through voice. It permits authenticated remote device to access current IP address and MAC address to which it is connected at now. This altogether leads to locate the misplaced units by mistake.
- the present invention discloses the "Device Detection System”. It includes module like: Distant unit, wireless connectivity module, and smart device.
- the wireless connectivity module is hooked up and installed with the distant unit. This may be pen drive, laptop or key and etc.
- the wireless connectivity module can be wi-fi or bluetooth. Distance up to which the unit is to be operated defines the technology to be used for wireless connectivity.
- Software algorithm is developed to provide remote access to the unit and graphic user interface to initiate connectivity and to form pairing with the unit. Upon initial searching and pairing the unit to be remotely accessed and remote device like smart device!, another algorithm is initiated to trigger voice signal on the unit.
