Abstract
본 발명의 실시예에 따른 무선 통신 시스템에서 액세스 포인트(access point, AP)와 통신하는 위치 추정 장치의 동작 방법은, 제1 AP에서 측정된 제1 RSSI(received signal strength indicator) 신호를 제2 AP로부터 수신하고, 상기 제1 RSSI 신호에 상응하는 제1 RSSI 벡터를 생성하는 단계와, 상기 제1 AP와 상기 제2 AP 간 거리, 및 상기 제1 RSSI 벡터를 이용하여 경로손실 지수(path loss exponent)를 계산하고, 상기 경로손실 지수를 이용하여 전체 영역에서 분할된 복수의 세부 영역들 각각에 대한 제2 RSSI 벡터를 생성하는 단계와, 상기 제1 RSSI 벡터와 상기 제2 RSSI 벡터를 이용하여 상기 전체 영역에 대한 라디오 맵을 생성하는 단계를 포함한다.
