Abstract

Dispositivo y método de eliminación selectiva de pupas acuáticas de insectos que presentan dimorfismo sexual que comprende un alimentador (1) de pupas (2) en medio acuático sobre un sistema de transporte (3) formado por una malla (5) móvil a velocidad constante y uniforme, un sistema de iluminación (8), una o más cámaras (9,9') conectadas a un sistema de visión artificial que localiza y mide el tamaño de las pupas (2) y un sistema de control (4) que selecciona las pupas (2) de tamaño superior o inferior a un umbral para ser disparadas por un láser (7). El método comprende las etapas de alimentar las pupas (2) en medio acuático a un sistema de transporte (3) con una malla (5) móvil; tomar una imagen del conjunto de pupas, clasificarlas y definir un umbral de separación entre machos y hembras para dañar las pupas (2) seleccionadas.
