Abstract

The invention relates to a system and method for the automation and safe use of mobile applications specifically designed to be used by drivers of vehicles while driving to prevent distractions and reduce road accidents. The invention can be used with the usual hands-free Bluetooth device (IEEE 802.15.1) present in the majority of vehicles, which simultaneously eliminates the need to have an integrated complex OBU in the vehicle, and the limitation of use to certain vehicles.

Description

 Description of the invention

From the above described, it is an object of the present invention to provide a secure automation system of mobile applications for the mobile devices of drivers in vehicles.

Said objective is achieved by means of a system of automatic start and safe execution of applications in the mobile device of a driver, comprising:

 - Method of detection, synchronization and playback in Bluetooth hands-free devices with and without A2DP multimedia audio support (Advanced Audio Distribution

Profile).

 - Method of automatic start / stop of mobile applications with personalized parameters and enablement of reading or streaming services.

 - Management method of authorized paired Bluetooth hands-free devices, as well as charger, headphones and widgets.

 - Method for defining custom configuration profile to specify mobile applications to execute and execution parameters of each one.

 - Automatic start / stop method for GPS navigation applications with functionalities "from / to location" and "notices of nearby events".

- Automatic playback start / stop method for mobile and local music streaming applications.

 - Method for reading notifications and messages for mobile messaging, social networks and calendar applications.

 - Method for filtering messages from mobile messaging applications and social networks. - Method of speech recognition, including instructions through simple commands programmed as "Cancel, Repeat, Send" or writing messages.

 - Interface adapted to show notifications on mobile devices, which does not require distracting the attention of the driver on the road.

 - Method of storage and secure verification of the addresses of authorized paired devices, based on a hash function.

This invention can be used with the usual Bluetooth hands-free device (IEEE 802.15.1) present in most vehicles, which eliminates the need for counting at the same time with some complex OBU integrated on board the vehicle, and the limitation of use to certain vehicles. Therefore, this invention implies savings in economic investment and waiting time to be able to safely use the main functionalities of smartphones within any vehicle.

It presents here an automatic start / stop system and safe execution within the vehicle, of applications in mobile devices with location systems and wireless communication and computing capabilities, such as smartphones or tablets. The key factors of the proposed design are: functionality, economy, automation, ease of use, driver-mobile device interaction, privacy and user safety. The design of the invention takes into account especially the protection of drivers' privacy thanks to the use of customized filters. Although it is a social tool, it does not require a global deployment for its use, since each user can independently install and use it without their contacts doing so.

The first fundamental element of the present invention is an automation method, which once configured does not require any intervention of the user since the system, as indicated in the configuration profile, initiates different mobile applications (music, navigation or any installed on the mobile device that has been selected) autonomously and automatically, depending on position-based activators and connection with a hands-free Bluetooth device of vehicle or headphones or charger or widget.

A second fundamental element of this invention is the method of reading notifications, which allows reading the incoming SMS or notifications of various applications, such as messaging, social networks, email, calendar or GPS navigation, and transmitting the sound through the loudspeaker of the device or of the vehicle, or with headphones, depending on the configuration profile, the connected devices or the result of the filtering of the messages. In the reading of each message, the format and operation of the corresponding application is taken into account, always including the name of the application, the contact or sending group and the content of the message. Then, if the user has activated the option of immediate response, he / she is offered the option to answer by voice. Otherwise, you can respond after touching the screen of the mobile device. Finally, the present invention contemplates as a third fundamental element, a method of automatic synchronization between the smartphone and the Bluetooth hands-free device without multimedia audio support A2DP in the event that the vehicle has it. This element allows to listen to the vehicle's speakers, incoming messages, music, notifications of applications or indications of GPS navigators. Given the high sensitivity of the procedure, it is essential that such automatic synchronization be executed only on authorized paired devices.

According to a preferred embodiment of the invention, the system of automation and safe use of mobile applications while driving, includes:

 - Device detection and synchronization modules, which establish, if possible, the Bluetooth connection between the user's smartphone and the hands-free device of the vehicle.

 - an automation module, which, based on the configuration profile and activators based on the position and connection with a Bluetooth hands-free device / headset / charger / widget, initiates the defined mobile applications, according to the parameters defined for each one, such as reading messages, order of preference in the use of sound device, or response mode (automatic or not).

- an automation module of the GPS navigator, which, depending on the configuration profile and the position or day and time, starts the functions "from / to location" with indication of destination and route preference depending on the time slot, and " notices of nearby events "such as traffic jams, accidents, black spots, weather warnings, gas stations and parking lots.

 - a music player automation module, which, depending on the configuration profile, initiates on-line or off-line music playback, programmed or randomly, and with or without previous reading of title and author.

- a module for reading notifications and messages, that upon receiving a calendar or message notification from a mobile messaging application or social networks (SMS, Whatsapp, Viber, Skype, Line, Google Hangouts, WeChat, Facebook Messenger, Telegram, Kik , Kakao Talk, Nimbuzz, Yahoo, Type Mail, Gmail), format your content as "app name: user or group: subject and message", check the audio connection, (Bluetooth or speakers), lower the volume of the music if it is active, applies message filtering based on sender, classification or keyword in content, and reads the notification or message using the speech synthesizer; the interface module unlocks the screen of the mobile device and displays the message or notification by capturing the main screen or by means of a floating window, both adapted to its use by the driver.

a voice recognition module, that after reading each message, depending on the configuration profile, captures the user's voice for a defined time, and interprets instructions through simple programmed commands, such as "Cancel, Repeat or Send (message ) ", using the same messaging application, or reply to the message by telephone call. Finally the screen and the volume of the music are restored to its previous parameters.

 A storage module and secure verification of the addresses of authorized devices, based on a hash function. In order to store the addresses of the authorized devices in a minimum space, a hash function h (.) Is applied on said addresses (D¡, i = l, 2, ..., n, where n is the number of authorized devices) . In addition, this hash function protects the integrity of the file that contains the list, since it allows the detection of any possible alteration not allowed. Verification of a D¡ address is done in two steps:

 1. Check that the hash h (D¡) is in the stored list

2. The hash of the complete list h (h (Di) lh (D2) l ... lh (D n )) is checked and its digital signature is verified.

 The hash function algorithm h (.) Proposed for the preferred embodiment of the invention is based on a function f (.) Applied to an input represented by a three-dimensional binary matrix 5x5x8, called state, by 3 iterations (t = 1, 2 , 3) of a basic transformation consisting of a combination of 4 operations on the 5x8 rows, 5x8 columns, 5x5 lines, 5 planes, 5 sheets and 8 slices:

 1. XOR of each bit of state a (x) (y) (z) (x, y = l, 2, ..., 5, z = l, 2, ..., 8) with the XOR of the adjacent row below in the same slice, the first row being understood as adjacent below the last.

First, a filler rule is applied to the input file to ensure that the result can be divided into 200-bit blocks. To calculate the output of the hash function on an input, a initial state to 0 and the first 200-bit block of the input is added by a bitwise XOR. Then the function f (.) The use of this hash function allows the optimized insertion of a new address in the list without having to do all the calculations from the beginning to update the signed hash of the list, by executing an additional iteration only on the hash of the new address.

Claims

1. System of automation and safe use of mobile applications while driving to avoid distractions and reduce accidents on the road, which includes:
 - a method of initiating automation of mobile applications or reading enablement initiated by different launchers, such as the connection of headphones, with Bluetooth hands-free devices with or without current position, or of charger and widget.
 - a method for sending by audio streaming the sounds of the mobile device to authorized paired Bluetooth hands-free devices without Multimedia Audio support (A2DP).
 - a configuration method including the mobile applications to be executed to the connection of each device and the execution parameters for each one, such as prioritization and frequency of reading of messages, preference of sound device, or response (automatic or not).
 - an automation method of the GPS navigator with functionalities to store destination and route preference in time slots, and warn of nearby events such as traffic jams, accidents, black spots or weather warnings.
 - a music player automation method, depending on the application, initiates on-line or off-line music playback, programmed or randomly, and with or without previous reading of title and author.
 - a notification reception module capable of reading the information received through a messaging application, such as SMS, Whatsapp, Viber, Line, Google Hangouts, WeChat, Facebook Messenger, Telegram, Kakao Talk, Kik, Nimbuz, Yahoo, IMO, Type Mail or Gmail.
 - a method of receiving messages capable of formatting, reading and displaying them on the screen through a service with full-screen display or floating screen.
- a method of filtering messages is based on the messaging application, sender or group, and keyword in content.
 - a method of speech recognition, including instructions through simple commands programmed as "Cancel, Repeat, Send" or writing messages.
 - a method of storage and secure verification of the addresses of authorized devices, based on a hash function.
