Abstract

The invention relates to a planar element (100), having - at least one support substrate (10), in particular at least one support panel, - at least one coating (30) provided on at least one surface or side of the support substrate (10) and - at least one paint coat or sealing coat (50a, 50b, 50c) applied to the surface or side of the coating (30) facing away from the support substrate (10), and to a method for producing a planar element (100) of this type. The aim of the invention is to develop such a planar element, so that said planar element (100) visually exhibits particularly impressive decorative effects. To achieve this aim, at least one of the at least one coating (30) and/or at least one of the at least one paint coat or sealing coat (50a, 50b, 50c) has/have a specific proportion of sparkling pigments and/or shimmering pigments and/or glittering pigments and/or phosphorescent pigments that produce, in particular, a black light effect.
