Description
CLOSING DEVICE FOR BOTTLES WITH SAFETY SEAL
The present invention refers to a closing device for bottles, in particular a closing device for bottles provided with a safety seal. More specifically, the present invention refers to a closing device for bottles provided with a safety seal arranged in an inaccessible position in the assembled configuration of the closing device.
Currently, different closing devices for bottles, in particular for bottles containing alcoholic beverages or spirits, are known. These closing devices generally consist of a stopper and a pourer.
The stopper is usually equipped with an inner thread adapted for engaging, to open or close the bottle, with a corresponding thread provided on the outer surface of the pourer. The latter is fixed by pressure, or through other known means, outside or inside the mouth of the bottle. There can also be a jacket for covering the stopper, made with an aluminium film or plastic.
Closing devices for bottles are also known that provide for a membrane, usually made in the form of a breakable disc made of aluminium or aluminium with polyethylene layers, which operates as safety or guarantee seal for the content of the bottle. The membrane is normally applied onto the mouth of the bottle, on which it is made integral by welding or gluing. Similar closing devices are described, for example, in documents US 2004/0094551 Al, GB 1446458 A and US 2014/027476 Al .
This type of application does, however, have some
drawbacks, including the difficulty in ensuring a perfect adhesion of the membrane to the mouth of the bottle. In addition, in closing devices for bottles provided with a membrane according to the prior art it is difficult, if not impossible, for the user to check the effective integrity of such a membrane.
The aim of the present invention is therefore to make a closing device for bottles provided with a safety seal that is capable of solving the aforementioned drawbacks of the prior art in an extremely simple, cost-effective and particularly functional manner.
In detail, an aim of the present invention is to make a closing device for bottles provided with a safety seal that does not need to adhere directly to the mouth of the bottle, whilst still keeping the sealing characteristics thereof unchanged.
Another aim of the present invention is to make a closing device for bottles provided with a safety seal that is inaccessible to the user in the assembled configuration of the closing device.
A further aim of the present invention is to make a closing device for bottles provided with a safety seal that allows the user to check the effective integrity of such a safety seal.
Yet another aim of the present invention is to make a closing device for bottles provided with a safety seal that is particularly simple to remove.
These aims according to the present invention are accomplished by making a closing device for bottles provided with a safety seal as outlined in claim 1.
Further features of the invention are highlighted
by the dependent claims, which are an integral part of the present description.
The features and advantages of a closing device for bottles provided with a safety seal according to the present invention will become clearer from the following description, given as an example and not for limiting purposes, referring to the attached schematic drawings, in which:
figure 1 is a perspective view of the closing device for bottles according to the present invention, shown in open configuration but with the safety seal not yet removed;
figure 2 is a side elevation view of the closing device of figure 1, shown in closed configuration;
figure 3 is a section view obtained along the line
III- III of figure 2;
figure 4 is a section view obtained along the line
IV- IV of figure 3;
figure 5 is a section view obtained along the line V-V of figure 3;
figure 6 is a side elevation view of the closing device of figure 1, shown in open configuration or, in other words, without the respective stopper;
figure 7 is a plan view from above of the closing device of figure 1, shown in open configuration or, in other words, without the respective stopper;
figure 8 is a section view obtained along the line VIII-VIII of figure 7; and
figure 9 is a perspective view of a membrane of the safety seal of the closing device of figure 1.
With reference to the figures, a closing device for bottles according to the present invention is
shown, wholly indicated with reference numeral 10. The closing device 10 comprises a pourer 12 constrainable at the mouth of a bottle 50. The pourer 12 can be constrained both outside, and inside the mouth of the bottle 50. In the embodiment shown in the figures, the pourer 12 is fitted outside the mouth of the bottle 50.
The pourer 12 can be manufactured in a single piece, typically made of plastic material or metallic foil, or it can consist of a plurality of distinct components but coupled together. The pourer 12 is in any case provided with an upper portion 14, in turn provided with an outer thread 16, and with a lower portion 18, which forms a cylindrical jacket for covering the mouth of the bottle 50.
The closing device 10 also comprises a stopper 20 having a lateral portion 22 internally provided with a thread 24 for coupling with the outer thread 16 of the pourer 12. The stopper 20 is constrained both by rotation and by pulling off with respect to the cylindrical jacket 18 of the pourer 12 through a removable tab 26 arranged between such a stopper 20 and such a cylindrical jacket 18.
In this way, prior to the first opening of the closing device 10, the stopper 20 stays integral with the cylindrical jacket 18 through the removable tab 26, which blocks the rotation of the stopper 20 itself. Only after the removal of the tab 26 the stopper 20 can be removed from the respective pourer 12 and thus from the bottle 50.
The removable tab 26 can be in the form of a ring that runs along the entire circumference of the cylindrical jacket 18 and is delimited by an upper
breakage line 28 connected to the stopper 20. The removable tab 26 could also be provided with a further lower breakage line (not shown) connected to the cylindrical jacket 18.
The pourer 12 is internally provided, at the mouth of the bottle 50, with a safety seal comprising an outer crown 30 and an inner disc 32 concentric to one another and arranged in a plane substantially perpendicular to the developing axis of the mouth of the bottle 50. The outer crown 30 is annular-shaped and is integral with the body of the pourer 12. The inner disc 32 is removable and is in turn made integral with the outer crown 30 through a circumferential breakage line 34.
The safety seal also comprises a disc-shaped membrane or film 36 (figure 9) made integral, for example through gluing or welding, both with the outer crown 30, and with the inner disc 32. The disc-shaped membrane or film 36 is advantageously fixed beneath the outer crown 30 and the inner disc 32 and has an outer diameter substantially equal to the inner diameter of the mouth of the bottle 50, so as to constitute the only portion of the pourer 12 placed in contact with the liquid contained in such a bottle 50.
The disc-shaped membrane or film 36 can be made of aluminium, or aluminium with polyethylene layers. The assembly consisting of the outer crown 30, the inner disc 32 and the disc-shaped membrane or film 36 forms a safety seal that sealably insulates the content of the bottle 50 from the outside and that is accessible for the user only after the first time the stopper 20 is opened .
The inner disc 32 is provided in the upper part with gripping means 38 the pulling of which causes the detachment of the inner disc 32 from the outer crown 30 through breaking of the circumferential breakage line 34 and the subsequent tearing of the disc-shaped membrane or film 36. Consequently, only after the first time the stopper 20 is opened and the subsequent tearing of the disc-shaped membrane or film 36 is it possible to make the liquid come out from the bottle 50.
The inner disc 32 is provided with a through hole 40 that allows the user to see the underlying disc¬ shaped membrane or film 36. In other words, by means of the through hole 40, once the stopper 20 is opened, it is possible to check the actual integrity of the disc¬ shaped membrane or film 36.
The circumferential breakage line 34 can consist of a plurality of breakable bridges. Alternatively, the circumferential breakage line 34 can consist of a portion of material with reduced section.
The gripping means 38 are preferably provided with a hook-shaped upper portion 42, configured to facilitate the grip by the user. As shown in figure 5, the hook-shaped upper portion 42 of the gripping means 38 is configured to abut against the inner surface of the stopper 20. Alternatively, the gripping means 38 could be provided with a more conventional ring-shaped upper portion (not shown) .
If it is fitted outside of the mouth of the bottle 50, the pourer 12 can be provided both with a first upper abutment portion 44 for coupling with a first seat obtained in the mouth of the bottle 50, and with a
second lower abutment portion 46 for coupling with a second seat obtained in the mouth of the bottle 50. Thanks to such abutment portions 44 and 46, the pourer 12 is constrained from pulling off from the mouth of the bottle 50.
It has thus been seen that the closing device for bottles provided with a safety seal according to the present invention achieves the aims outlined earlier.
The closing device for bottles provided with a safety seal of the present invention thus conceived can in any case undergo numerous modifications and variants, all of which are covered by the same inventive concept; moreover, all the details can be replaced by technically equivalent elements. In practice, the materials used, as well as the shapes and sizes, can be whatever according to the technical requirements .
The scope of protection of the invention is therefore defined by the attached claims.
