Abstract
The present invention concerns the field of viral diseases. In particular, it relates to the amplification, detection and/or quantification of one genotype or of different genotypes of the viral hepatitis C virus (HCV), present in a single or different biological samples, using one or more new sets of primers and probes. This invention can also be used in cases of variability of the HCV nucleic acid sequences, for as many sequences as are present, enabling hybridisation with the sets of primers and probes used.
