Abstract

The invention provides a load loss indicating device which includes a body 28A, a passage 36 to receive a rock bolt, the passage including a narrow portion and a broad portion and a spring 42 within the broad portion of the passage. The spring is compressed when load is applied to the rock bolt and expands when load is lost pushing indicator sleeve 48 made from coloured plastics material into an exposed position outside of the passage.
