Abstract
The invention relates to a method wherein a mixture is carried out between a calcium sulfate soil improver and compounds rich in soluble P2O5, or in a reaction medium between phosphate, acidulated derivatives, and the above-mentioned soil improver. Sufficient proportioning of the basic and/or reactive compounds in a suitable manner makes it possible to obtain a simple superphosphate wherein: the P2O5 concentration is easily regulated and adjusted to the desired value, pulping of the resultant solid solution enables homogenization and perfect granulation of said solid solution, and the free acid is kept at the minimal near-zero value, thereby giving the final fertilizer the added value of enabling said fertilizer to become the product of choice for ad hoc blending of complex fertilizers. The invention provides the advantages of : (i) obtaining a material in the form of very spherical, homogeneous granules with optimal hardness, (ii) upgrading unwanted, off-spec phosphorous compounds available in phosphoric acid and fertilizer plants, and (iii) producing said product while respecting environmental requirements (very limited gaseous effluents and nearly nonexistent dust).
