Abstract

Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft einen Palettencontainer (10) zur Lagerung und zum Transport von insbesondere brennbaren oder leicht entzündlichen flüssigen Füllgütern mit einem dünnwandigen starren Innenbehälter aus thermoplastischem Kunststoff zur Aufnahme des flüssigen Füllguts, mit einem den Kunststoff-Innenbehälter als Stützmantel dicht umschließenden Rohrgitterrahmen (12) aus miteinander verschweißten Rohren und mit einer Holzpalette (14), auf welcher der Kunststoff-Innenbehälter aufliegt und mit welcher der Rohrgitterrahmen (12) fest verbunden ist, wobei der Kunststoff-Innenbehälter innerhalb des Rohrgitterrahmens (12) von einer Feuerschutz-Isoliermatte (16) umschlossen ist (UL-IBC). Um eine Verwendung von preiswerten Holzpaletten für UL-IBCs zu ermöglichen, schlägt die Erfindung vor, dass die Holzpalette (14) zur Erhöhung ihrer Feuerschutz- und Hitzewiderstandsfähigkeit einer speziellen Feuerschutz-Behandlung unterzogen ist. Mit dieser speziellen Feuerschutz-Behandlung wird auf einfache und überraschende Weise erreicht, dass auch eine Holzpalette den brandschutztechnischen Anforderungen für einen UL-IBC genügt.
