The other end of the spindle (75) is assembled with the tailgate bracket (42) via tightening with nut (50, 60) from the inside and outside.
A method of assembling the spring-end supporting bracket to the truck body
Figure 19 illustrates one method for assembling the spring-end supporting bracket to truck bod wherein the spring-end supporting bracket (80) can be in many shapes depending on the holding position of the truck body ( 121). The bracket (80) may be chosen from utilizing at least one nut (61) for acting as a holder of the spring- end supporting bracket (80) with the truck body ( 121 ) via the hole, preferably using the same hole of truck to avoid perforating truck body. The position of the spring- end supporting bracket ( 80) that connects to the truck body is positioned at the raised edge (38) of the spring- end supporting bracket and is same as the other end of the coiled spring (79).
A method of assembling the damper to truck body
Figure 20 illustrate one method of assembling the damper into truck body wherein assembling the damper to the truck body ( 121) using the bolt (63, 64) which can be the same bolt of the truck body ( 121) to hold the damper bracket (40). The main characteristic of this invention is to define the position of the damper head holding unit (65) that is located near the rotational point of the tailgate to make the considerable mechanical disadvantage because it needs the retardation of the damper (444) to reduce the momentum of the rotation of the tailgate ( 1 1 1 ) for the purposes of closing gently. Installation of the damper (444) is located on the same plane of the tailgate ( 111) wherein holding point of the truck bod ( 121) is appropriately positioned near the rotational point of the tailgate ( 111) containing the holding unit at the
holding site to truck body ( 121 ). not too far from the rotational point of the tailgate. Thus, the damper can create the retardation that enables the smooth or gentle movement of the tailgate.
A method of assembling the damper to the tailgate
Figure 21 illustrates of one method of assembling the damper to the tailgate wherein assembling the damper (444) to the tailgate (1 11) using the bolt (67, 68) that is the same bolt of the truck or pick up truck to hold the damper bracket (41) for holding to the tailgate (1 11) and a tailgate sling bracket (70) of the truck. Installation o the damper bracket is located on the same plane of the tailgate ( 111). Thus, the damper can create the retardation that make opening the tailgate smoothly. The act of creating the damper bracket (40, 41 ) is depending on the appropriateness of the truck model, for examples, some truck models may design the holding unit to be the same as the bolt bracket of the tailgate.
Detailed of this invention during operation
Figure 22 illustrates one embodiment of the labor- saving truck tailgate device set according to this invention during operation wherein the said labor-saving truck tailgate device set takes the advantage of the strain that is created from the rotation of the coiled spring. During opening the tailgate (1 1 1) will be rotated as indicated by the direction of the arrows. The tailgate bracket (42, 44) is held onto the tailgate ( 111) that is rotated by following the tailgate ( 1 11). While, the coiled spring ( 15) is assembled to the spindle (74). The other end of the spindle (75) containing the spiral will be tightened to the tailgate bracket (42) using the nut (60) from the outside. The washer ( 19) will be rotated following the same direction of the nut (60). The one end of the spindle (76) is assembled to the ball bearing ( 14) that will turn following the same direction of the said one end of the spindle.
The rotation of the spindle- containing spring set (555) comprises the coiled spring ( 15) assembles to the spindle (74) that is provided the same center as the spindle (76) of the tailgate. The tailgate bracket (42, 44) is rotated in the same direction as the tailgate ( 111) movement during opening. The one end of the coiled spring (78) is assembled to spring- end holding axle
( 12) of the tailgate bracket (42) that is held on the tailgate (111), While, the other end of the coiled spring (79) assembled to the raised edge (38) of the spring-end supporting bracket (80) that is held on the truck body (121), causing the twisting of the coiled spring. The strain that is created from twisting of the coiled spring will dampen the speed of the rotation of the tailgate ( 111), so the strain will resist the shock created from the weight of the tailgate ( 111) during opening dow-nward. At the same time, the accumulated strain will labor-save during closing the tailgate (111) by lifting upward to the truck body (121).
The damper (444) will dampen the speed of the tailgate (11 11 during downward rotation that is the same direction as the damper retardation, so the calculation for the size of spring strain and the size of spring according to this invention is more convenient and can reduce the effect from the weight of the tailgate (11 Ti differently from other accessor}' on the tailgate (111) during usage of this invention.
The labor-saving truck tailgate device according to this invention can be adjusted or modified in accordance with the task by means of switching the size of the spring based on the weight of the truck tailgate or based on its user s tasks and preference. For the size and number of spring can be calculated from the formulation of the spring creation or trial and error till get the appropriate size.
