Abstract

Un élément en cristal d'après la présente invention est caractérisé en ce que : les côtés longs de la surface principale sont essentiellement parallèles à l'axe Z' de l'élément en cristal ; les côtés courts de la surface principale sont essentiellement parallèles à l'axe X de l'élément en cristal ; la fréquence d'oscillation principale de l'élément en cristal est supérieure ou égale à 15,70 MHz et inférieure ou égale à 18,00 MHz ; l'élément en cristal comporte une première région dans laquelle se situe le centre de la surface principale, des deuxième et troisième régions adjacentes à la première région au niveau de ses deux extrémités dans la direction des côtés longs dans laquelle s'étendent les côtés longs, ainsi que des quatrième et cinquième régions adjacentes à la première région au niveau de ses deux extrémités dans la direction des côtés courts dans laquelle s'étendent les côtés courts ; l'épaisseur de la première région est essentiellement uniforme ; l'épaisseur de la deuxième région et l'épaisseur de la troisième région sont inférieures à l'épaisseur de la première région et/ou l'épaisseur de la quatrième région et l'épaisseur de la cinquième région sont inférieures à l'épaisseur de la première région ; et la relation 8,97 ≤ W/T ≤ 9,39 est satisfaite, où W est la longueur des côtés courts et T l'épaisseur.
