Definitions
- Oil field is one of the most sensitive operations that require accordingly special performance, monitoring and supervision as well as accurate numbers and adequate planning ahead.
- drilling fluids One of the most important factors in the daily drilling operation is drilling fluids (Mud), the function of drilling fluids describes the tasks which the drilling fluids are capable of performing, although some may not be essential on every well. Removing cuttings from the well and controlling formation pressures are of primary importance on every well, though the order of importance is determined by well conditions and current operations.
- the normal known (Mud) drilling fluids testing way is by using individual physical testing equipment ( ⁇ , API water loss, Retort, VG-meter...etc.) and chemical titration as well, but in this innovated complete single kit the (Mud) drilling fluids engineer will be able to test all types of mud (OBM, WBM, SBM & Aerated Mud) and different brines as well in one single accurate automated stage.
- the API American Petroleum Institute
- Mod drilling fluids
- the fluid will flow in the specified line with the help of pump #2 to test (API water loss, V7) and in parallel to the other physical testing equipment (Retort, VG meter, HTHP, PPT & Sand content).
- Filtrate enters the spectrophotometer for chemical analysis using color detection.
- Fluid flowed to physical equipment enters all tests in parallel at the same time (Retort, VG meter, HTHP, PPT & Sand content).
- the fluid will flow in the specified line with the help of pump # 1 to titrations tests and in parallel to the other physical testing equipment (Retort, VG meter, HTHP, PPT & Sand content).
- the cleaning fluid will be selected, either water from tank T2 or base oil from tank T3.
