The present invention relates to a receiving apparatus, a control method, and a program.
This application is based on Japanese Patent Application No. 2015-191369 filed in Japan on September 29, 2015 and Japanese Patent Application No. 2015-191371 filed in Japan on September 29, 2015. Insist and use that content here.
There are functions (channel call, clock display, electronic program guide, etc.) that display various overlays while watching broadcast programs. Such various overlay displays are generally displayed at a predetermined size at a position on the display screen determined for each function. For example, Patent Document 1 displays an electronic program guide on a display screen.
For each of the plurality of contents to be displayed on the screen, a part of the content is specified as a display target part to be displayed in the screen, and the area size of each display area of the plurality of contents in the screen is set to It is disclosed that each adjustment is performed based on the size of the display target portion (see, for example, Patent Document 2).

By the way, when an emergency news bulletin is broadcasted, it is desirable to ensure the visibility of the emergency news bulletin for safety and security. Therefore, if an emergency news bulletin is broadcast while simultaneously displaying an overlay on the broadcast program display screen, the receiving device automatically cancels the overlay display and displays the broadcast program in full screen, thereby displaying the emergency news. It is conceivable to ensure the visibility of breaking news. However, if this process is performed regardless of the user's intention, there may be a case where some users want to use the function again after the broadcast program is displayed on the full screen. In this case, the user needs an operation for restarting the function and is troublesome.
The present invention has been made in view of the above points, and provides a receiving apparatus, a control method, and a program that improve the visibility and convenience when an emergency news bulletin is broadcast while viewing a broadcast program. Is an issue.
By the way, when an emergency news bulletin is broadcast when overlay display is simultaneously performed on the display screen of the broadcast program or when the display size of the broadcast program is small, the visibility of the emergency news bulletin may not be ensured. When an emergency news bulletin is broadcast, it is desirable to ensure the visibility of the emergency news bulletin for safety and security. Therefore, it is conceivable that the receiving device secures the visibility of the emergency news bulletin by displaying the broadcast program in full screen when the emergency news bulletin is broadcast. However, in the above-mentioned Patent Document 2, there is no description of a trigger for displaying content, and the visibility of emergency news bulletins cannot be ensured. In addition, for example, when the display size of the broadcast program suddenly increases by displaying the broadcast program in full screen, it is assumed that the viewer will be surprised by the change in the display size.

Hereinafter, an embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings.
[First embodiment]
A first embodiment of the present invention will be described.
(Broadcast system configuration)
FIG. 1 is a block diagram showing a schematic configuration of a broadcasting system 1 according to the present embodiment.
The broadcast system 1 includes a receiving device 10 and a transmitting device 20. In the broadcasting system 1, the number of receiving devices 10 and transmitting devices 20 is generally plural. In the following description, for ease of explanation, a case will be described in which the number of receiving apparatuses 10 and transmitting apparatuses 20 is one. In the following description, a digital broadcast such as an advanced BS digital broadcast (Super Hi-Vision) is transmitted in the broadcast system 1, and an MMT (MPEG Media Transport) method is adopted as a media transport method of the digital broadcast. Take the case as an example.
例えば、映像データは、H.265、いわゆる、HEVC(High Efficiency Video Coding)などの符号化方式で符号化されたデータである。 The transmission device 20 transmits a signal indicating multiplexed data obtained by multiplexing program data i1 and control data by radio waves. The control data is data including program arrangement information i2 and program configuration information i3. The transmission device 20 is, for example, a transmission device possessed by a broadcaster such as a broadcast station. The program data i1 is content data including at least video data indicating videos constituting the program. In the following description, it is assumed that the program data i1 is content data including both video data and audio data. Note that each of the video data and the audio data is data encoded by a predetermined encoding method. For example, the video data is H.264. 265, data encoded by an encoding method such as so-called HEVC (High Efficiency Video Coding). For example, the audio data is data encoded by an encoding method such as ISO / IEC 14496 Part 3, so-called MPEG-4 audio.
番組配列情報i2として、例えば、MMT-SI(MMT-System Information)を構成するMH-EIT(Event Information Table)が含まれる。 The program arrangement information i2 includes information related to a program broadcast on each channel at that time (current) and a program scheduled to be broadcast on each channel between that time and a predetermined time later. Therefore, the program arrangement information i2 includes information related to the program related to the program data i1, that is, the program broadcast at that time. For example, the program arrangement information i2 includes program identification information and broadcast date / time information as broadcast information included for each program. Here, the program identification information is information for identifying a program such as the type and arrangement of a broadcast program and its attributes, for example. The broadcast date / time information is information indicating the broadcast date / time of the program. In addition, the program arrangement information i2 includes various information used when generating the electronic program guide. As the program arrangement information i2, for example, an MH-EIT (Event Information Table) constituting an MMT-SI (MMT-System Information) is included.
例えば、番組構成情報i3としては、MMT-SIを構成するMPT(MMT Package Table;MPテーブル)が含まれる。 The program configuration information i3 includes a list of assets that are components of a program related to the program data i1, that is, a program to be broadcast, and requirement information indicating various requirements thereof. An asset is element data that is a component of a program. The requirement information includes, for example, information indicating the resolution of video data included in the program data i1. In advanced BS digital broadcasting (Super Hi-Vision), the program configuration information i3 includes an emergency news descriptor (Emergency_News_Descriptor). The emergency news descriptor is a descriptor to ensure that information is delivered to viewers when emergency news bulletins (emergency earthquake bulletins, extraordinary news, fragmented news, bulletin supermarkets, etc.) related to safety and security are broadcast. Placed during the breaking news. For example, the program configuration information i3 includes an MPT (MMT Package Table; MP table) constituting the MMT-SI. The emergency news descriptor is arranged, for example, in the first loop (program loop) of MPT.
FIG. 2 is a diagram showing an example of the data structure of the emergency news descriptor. The emergency news descriptor includes a transmission time stamp (transmit_timestamp). The 64-bit field of the sending time stamp indicates the sending time when the emergency news descriptor is arranged in the time stamp format.
送信装置20は、誤り訂正符号として、例えば、BCH(Bose Chaudhuri Hocquenghem)符号とLDPC(Low Density Parity Check)符号を付加する。 Returning to FIG. 1, the transmission apparatus 20 encrypts multiplexed data obtained by multiplexing the program data i1 and the control data using a predetermined encryption method (for example, AES: Advanced Encryption Standard). Then, the transmission device 20 performs error correction coding on the encrypted multiplexed data, and adds the generated error correction code to the multiplexed data. The transmission device 20 adds, for example, a BCH (Bose Chaudhuri Hocquechem) code and an LDPC (Low Density Parity Check) code as error correction codes. The transmission apparatus 20 uses a predetermined modulation scheme (for example, 8PSK: 8 Phase Shift Keying (8-phase phase modulation), APSK: Amplitude and Phase Shift Keying (amplitude phase modulation)) for multiplexed data to which an error correction code is added. And modulate. The transmission device 20 transmits the broadcast signal generated by the modulation to the reception device 10 via the broadcast transmission path BT. The broadcast transmission path BT is a transmission path that can simultaneously transmit broadcast signals to one or a plurality of receiving apparatuses 10 as unspecified destinations.
In the example shown in FIG. 1, the broadcast transmission path BT is a transmission path for transmitting a broadcast signal by radio waves. In this example, the transmission apparatus 20 up-converts a baseband broadcast signal generated by modulation into a signal in a frequency band of a predetermined channel. The transmission device 20 transmits a broadcast signal generated by up-conversion as a radio wave to the broadcast transmission path BT. The broadcast transmission path BT may be configured to include a wireless or wired communication network in part or all thereof.

The receiving device 10 receives a broadcast signal transmitted from the transmitting device 20 via the broadcast transmission path BT. The receiving device 10 separates the program data i1 and the control data from the broadcast signal, and outputs video data and audio data included in the separated program data i1. Further, the receiving device 10 analyzes the program configuration information i3 included in the separated control data and determines whether or not an emergency news descriptor is included.
In addition, the receiving device 10 executes at least a function having a process of overlaying (on-screen display) predetermined information on a part or all of a display screen for displaying a video (video of a broadcast program) based on the program data i1. . This function is a function executed for a specific purpose such as channel call, clock display, electronic program guide, and the like, and is realized by executing an application program prepared in advance in the receiving apparatus 10. In the following description, the function executed by the receiving apparatus 10 is also referred to as “receiver application”. In the receiver application, in addition to channel call, clock display, electronic program guide, etc., various settings of the receiving device 10 (reception setting, image quality setting, audio setting, etc.) and screen switching between single screen display and double screen display Etc. are also included.
For example, if the receiving device 10 determines that an emergency news descriptor is included in the broadcast signal while the receiver application is being executed, the receiving device 10 ends the receiver application that is being executed. That is, the receiving device 10 cancels the overlay display on the display screen. In addition, when the predetermined condition is satisfied, the receiving apparatus 10 restarts the function that has ended. Here, the predetermined condition is that the emergency news bulletin has ended or that the user has performed an operation input such as a channel change. As a result, the receiving device 10 can ensure the visibility of the emergency news bulletin by ending the receiver application even while the receiver application is being executed, and can restart the emergency news bulletin by restarting the receiver application that has ended. Since it returns to the state before broadcasting, the convenience of the user who wants to use the receiver application again can be improved. Hereinafter, the configuration of the receiving device 10 will be described in detail.

The storage unit 15 may be configured to include other storage media or a storage device such as an HDD (Hard Disk Drive).
The control unit 16 extracts the program data i1 and the control data from the broadcast signal input from the broadcast receiving unit 11. For example, the control unit 16 outputs an audio signal based on the extracted program data i1 to the loudspeaker unit 13 and outputs a video signal based on the program data i1 to the display unit 14. Further, the control unit 16 outputs a video signal indicating a channel call, a clock display, an electronic program guide, and the like to the display unit 14 in accordance with execution of the receiver application.
The demodulator 161 performs front-end processing on the broadcast signal input from the broadcast receiver 11 and converts it into multiplexed data. The front-end process is a series of processes from decoding a broadcast signal that is an analog signal to converting it into a multiplexed signal that is digital data. The front-end processing includes demodulation, error correction, and encryption processing. Each process of demodulation and encryption is equivalent to the reverse process of the modulation and encryption in the transmission apparatus 20. In the error correction process, the error correction code added in the transmission device 20 is used. For example, the demodulation unit 161 performs syndrome decoding using a BCH code and performs parity check using an LDPC code as error correction processing. The demodulator 161 outputs the converted multiplexed data to the separator 162.
The separation unit 162 separates the multiplexed data input from the demodulation unit 161 into program data i1 and control data. The separation unit 162 further separates the control data into program arrangement information i2 and program configuration information i3. The separation unit 162 extracts audio data and video data from the program data i1 with reference to the MPT included in the separated program configuration information i3. The separation unit 162 outputs the extracted audio data to the audio processing unit 163, and outputs the extracted video data to the display processing unit 1642 of the processing unit 164. In addition, the separation unit 162 outputs the separated program arrangement information i2 to the function processing unit 1644 of the processing unit 164, and outputs the separated program configuration information i3 to the determination unit 1643.
The voice processing unit 163 decodes the voice data input from the separation unit 162 using a predetermined voice decoding method. The speech decoding method used by the speech processing unit 163 is a speech decoding method corresponding to the speech encoding method used for encoding the speech data transmitted by the transmission device 20. The voice processing unit 163 outputs the voice signal obtained by the decoding to the loudspeaker unit 13.
The channel selection processing unit 1641 selects a channel for receiving a broadcast signal based on the operation signal input from the operation input unit 12. When an operation signal indicating a specific channel is input, the channel selection processing unit 1641 selects a channel indicated by the operation signal. The specific channel corresponds to a channel related to the pressed channel button among the channel buttons included in the remote controller RC. When the electronic program guide is displayed on the display unit 14, the channel selection processing unit 1641 may select a channel that broadcasts a program related to the display frame indicated by the operation signal from among the display frames for each program. Good. The channel selection processing unit 1641 outputs a channel selection signal indicating the selected channel to the broadcast receiving unit 11. As a result, the channel selection processing unit 1641 can cause the broadcast receiving unit 11 to receive the broadcast signal on the selected channel.
The display processing unit 1642 decodes the video data input from the separation unit 162 using a predetermined video decoding method. The video decoding method used by the display processing unit 1642 is a video decoding method corresponding to the video encoding method used for encoding the video data transmitted by the transmission device 20. By this decoding, a video signal representing the video of the broadcast program is generated. The display processing unit 1642 outputs the generated video signal to the display unit 14. When the broadcast signal includes the emergency news bulletin, the display processing unit 1642 generates a video signal from the video data including the emergency news bulletin data and outputs the video signal to the display unit 14. Also, the display processing unit 1642 acquires an overlay display signal indicating the channel call, clock display, electronic program guide, etc. generated by the function processing unit 1644 according to the execution of the receiver application, and broadcasts the acquired overlay display signal. A video signal including an overlay display superimposed on the video signal of the program is generated and output to the display unit 14.
The determination unit 1643 determines whether or not an emergency news descriptor is included in the broadcast signal. Specifically, the determination unit 1643 analyzes the program configuration information i3 input from the separation unit 162 and determines whether or not an emergency news descriptor is included. Then, the determination unit 1643 outputs the determination result to the function processing unit 1644.
The function processing unit 1644 controls the execution of the receiver application. For example, the function processing unit 1644 executes a receiver application. For example, the function processing unit 1644 executes the receiver application based on an operation signal input from the operation input unit 12 to the control unit 16. The operation signal at this time is an operation signal indicating an instruction to execute various receiver applications (channel call, clock display, electronic program guide, etc.).
For example, when the channel call receiver application is executed, the function processing unit 1644 generates an overlay display signal including characters indicating a channel and the like based on the program arrangement information i2 being viewed and outputs the overlay display signal to the display processing unit 1642 To do. In addition, when executing the clock display receiver application, the function processing unit 1644 is a character indicating the date and time based on the time information included in the broadcast signal or the time information of the clock function in the receiving device 10. Is generated and output to the display processing unit 1642. In addition, when the electronic program guide receiver application is executed, the function processing unit 1644 generates an overlay display signal including the electronic program guide based on the MH-EIT included in the program arrangement information i2, and sends it to the display processing unit 1642. Output.
In addition, when the determination unit 1643 determines that the emergency news descriptor is included in the broadcast signal during execution of the receiver application, the function processing unit 1644 terminates the receiver application that is being executed. For example, if the function processing unit 1644 determines that an emergency news descriptor is included in the broadcast signal based on the determination result input from the determination unit 1643, the function processing unit 1644 terminates the receiver application being executed. On the other hand, when it is determined that the broadcast signal does not include the emergency news descriptor, the function processing unit 1644 continues the execution of the receiver application being executed.
In addition, the function processing unit 1644 restarts the terminated receiver application. For example, when the determination unit 1643 determines that the broadcast signal has transitioned from the state in which the emergency news descriptor is included to the state in which the broadcast signal is not included, the function processing unit 1644 restarts the terminated receiver application. That is, when the emergency news bulletin is completed, the function processing unit 1644 restarts the terminated receiver application.
It should be noted that the function processing unit 1644 does not intend to continuously view the emergency news bulletin when the user inputs an operation such as a channel change even during the emergency news bulletin (or emergency It may be determined that there is no intention of continuing to watch the breaking news), and the terminated receiver application may be restarted. For example, even when the emergency news descriptor is included in the broadcast signal, the function processing unit 1644 restarts the terminated receiver application when an operation input is received.
Also, the function processing unit 1644 may allow the user to select whether to restart the receiver application before restarting the receiver application. For example, the function processing unit 1644 determines whether or not to restart the terminated receiver application based on an operation input that selects whether or not to restart the receiver application. As a result, the receiving apparatus 10 confirms that the user does not intend to continue viewing the emergency news bulletin, and whether the user wants to use the receiver application that the user used before the emergency news bulletin starts again. Can be confirmed.
In addition, the function processing unit 1644 re-executes out of the completed receiver applications based on management information (hereinafter also referred to as “receiver application management information”) in which whether or not to restart each receiver application is set. When activated, the set receiver application may be restarted.
(Receiver application management information)
FIG. 4 is a diagram illustrating an example of receiver application management information. The receiver application management information is stored in the storage unit 15, for example. In the illustrated receiver application management information, a receiver application, an activation state, a state at the time of starting an emergency news bulletin, and a necessity for restart are associated with each other. The activated state is the current activated state of the receiver application, “◯” indicates that it is being executed (in an activated state), and “X” indicates that the receiver application is not activated. Here, the application A, the application B, and the application C are being executed, and the application D is not activated.
The state at the time of starting the emergency news bulletin holds the activation state of the receiver application when the emergency news bulletin is started. Here, the state where the emergency news bulletin is not started is shown, and the state at the time of the emergency news bulletin start of all the receiver applications is “x”. When the emergency news bulletin is started, the activation state of each receiver application at the start is reflected. The state at the time of starting the emergency news bulletin is used, for example, to determine whether or not the receiver application is to be restarted at the end of the emergency news bulletin.
The necessity of restart is information indicating whether or not to restart the receiver application that has been terminated, “○” indicates the necessity of restart, and “×” indicates the necessity of restart . The necessity for the restart is used, for example, for determining whether or not the receiver application needs to be restarted at the end of the emergency news bulletin. A receiver application that is set to no restart is not subject to restart even if it is running (started up) at the start of the breaking news. Note that the necessity for restarting is set in advance for each receiver application, for example, and can be changed by the user. Here, the application A, the application B, and the application D are set to need to be restarted.
FIG. 5 is a diagram illustrating an example of data transition of the receiver application management information, and illustrates an example in which the management information is updated at the start and end of the emergency news bulletin.
ST101: Management information before emergency news bulletin is started, which is the same as the example shown in FIG. In this state, when an emergency news bulletin is started, the state transits to ST102.
ST102: When the emergency news bulletin is started, the running state of the application A, the application B, and the application C is ended, and the activation states of the application A, the application B, and the application C are updated to “x”. In addition, in order to maintain the activation state of the receiver application when the emergency news bulletin is started, the state at the time of the emergency news bulletin start of the app A, the app B, and the app C is updated to “◯”. In other words, in the illustrated example, the receiver application that is restarted after the emergency news bulletin is broadcast, for example, is the application A that is running at the start of the emergency news bulletin and that needs to be restarted. And app B.
Next, for example, when the restart of the receiver application is selected at the end of the emergency news bulletin, the process transits to the state of ST103. On the other hand, if the restart of the receiver application is not selected at the end of the emergency news bulletin (if not selected is selected), the process transits to the state of ST104.
ST103: By restarting application A and application B, the activation state of application A and application B is updated to “◯” from the state of ST102. In addition, the state of the application A, the application B, and the application C when the emergency news bulletin is started returns to “x” (cleared).
ST104: Since the receiver application is not restarted, the state at the start of the emergency news bulletin of the application A, the application B, and the application C from the state of ST102 is only returned to “x” (cleared).
(Display screen transition)
Next, with reference to FIG. 6 and FIG. 7, the transition of the display screen accompanying the broadcast of the emergency news bulletin will be described.
FIG. 6 is a diagram illustrating a first example of transition of the display screen of the display unit 14.
The display screen G10 is an example of a display screen before the start of the emergency news bulletin. On the display screen G10, three receiver applications, app A, app B, and app C, are being executed, and an overlay display of app A, app B, and app C is displayed on the video of the broadcast program.
The display screen G11 is an example of a display screen during the broadcast of an emergency news bulletin. When the emergency news bulletin is started, the receiving device 10 determines that the emergency news descriptor is included in the broadcast signal, and ends the app A, app B, and app C. Thereby, as shown in the display screen G11, the overlay display is canceled and the video of the broadcast program is displayed on the full screen.
Next, the display screen G12 is an example of a display screen when the emergency news bulletin is finished. The receiving device 10 determines that the broadcast signal has transitioned from a state in which an emergency news descriptor is included to a state in which it is not included. Then, the receiving apparatus 10 displays an overlay on the selection screen K1 for selecting whether to restart the receiver application that has been terminated by the emergency news bulletin. The example of the selection screen K1 shown in the figure includes notification information for notifying that the emergency news bulletin has ended and a selection button for selecting whether to restart the receiver application. As the selection buttons, a button in which “Yes” for selecting to restart and a button in which “No” for selecting not to restart are described are displayed.
The display screen G13 is an example of a display screen when “No” is selected on the selection screen K1. In this case, since the receiving device 10 does not restart the receiver application that has been terminated by the emergency news bulletin, the overlay display of the selection screen K1 is canceled as shown in the display screen G13, and all the images of the broadcast program continue. Displayed on the screen.
The display screen G14 is an example of a display screen when “Yes” is selected on the selection screen K1. In this case, the receiving device 10 restarts the app A and the app B that are set to need to be restarted in the receiver app management information (FIG. 3) among the receiver apps that are terminated by the emergency news bulletin. . Thereby, as shown in the display screen G14, the overlay display of the selection screen K1 is canceled, and the overlay display of the app A and the app B is superimposed on the video of the broadcast program.
FIG. 7 is a diagram illustrating a second example of the transition of the display screen of the display unit 14. In the example of FIG. 6 described above, the display screen example in the case where the restart of the receiver application is controlled due to the end of the emergency news bulletin has been described, but in FIG. An example of a display screen when the restart of the receiver application is controlled as a result of being performed will be described. In FIG. 7, the same reference numerals are assigned to the display screens similar to those in FIG. 6, and the description thereof is omitted.
When the user performs an operation input (key operation) during the broadcast of the emergency news bulletin (display screen G11), the screen transitions to the display screen G22. On the display screen G22, a selection screen K2 for selecting whether or not to restart the terminated receiver application is displayed as an overlay. The example of the selection screen K2 shown in the figure includes notification information for notifying that an emergency news bulletin is being broadcast and a selection button for selecting whether or not to restart the receiver application. As the selection buttons, a button in which “Yes” for selecting to restart and a button in which “No” for selecting not to restart are described are displayed.
As in the example of FIG. 6, when “No” is selected on the selection screen K2, the screen transitions to the display screen G13. When “Yes” is selected on the selection screen K2, the screen transitions to the display screen G14.
(Operation)
Next, with reference to FIG. 8, the operation of the restart process of the receiver application accompanying the broadcast of the emergency news bulletin will be described. FIG. 8 is a flowchart illustrating an example of the restart process of the receiver application according to the present embodiment.
The receiving device 10 receives a broadcast signal (step S101). Here, an overlay display of the receiver application being executed is displayed on the display screen for displaying the broadcast program (video of the broadcast program) based on the received broadcast signal (see display screen G10 in FIGS. 6 and 7). Then, the receiving device 10 determines whether or not an emergency news descriptor is included in the received broadcast signal (step S102). When it is determined that the emergency signal descriptor is not included in the broadcast signal (step S102: NO), the process returns to step S101.
On the other hand, if it is determined that the broadcast news signal includes the emergency news descriptor (step S102: YES), the receiving device 10 updates the receiver application management information, and changes the activation status of the receiver application to the emergency news. The state at the start of the breaking news is held (step S103). In addition, the receiving apparatus 10 ends the receiver application that is being executed (step S104). Thereby, the overlay display of the receiver application is canceled on the display screen of the receiving device 10 and the full screen display of the broadcast program video is displayed (see the display screen G11 in FIGS. 6 and 7).
Next, the receiving apparatus 10 continues to determine whether or not an emergency news descriptor is included in the received broadcast signal (step S105). That is, the receiving apparatus 10 determines whether or not the broadcast signal has transitioned from a state in which an emergency news descriptor is included to a state in which it is not included.
When it is determined that no emergency news descriptor is included in the broadcast signal, that is, when it is determined that the broadcast signal has transitioned from a state where the emergency news descriptor is not included (step S105: NO), the process proceeds to step S107.
On the other hand, when it is determined that the emergency news descriptor is included in the broadcast signal, that is, when it is determined that the emergency signal descriptor is still included in the broadcast signal (step S105: YES). The receiving apparatus 10 determines whether or not an operation input by the user has been accepted (the presence or absence of a key operation) (step S106).
If it is determined that no operation input by the user has been received (no key operation) (step S106: NO), the process returns to step S105. In other words, the emergency news bulletin is being broadcast and the full screen display state of the broadcast program video is continued (see display screen G11 in FIGS. 6 and 7). On the other hand, if it is determined that an operation input by the user has been received (there is a key operation) (step S106: YES), the process proceeds to step S107.
In step S107, the receiving apparatus 10 displays an overlay of a selection screen for selecting whether to restart the receiver application (step S107). For example, when it is determined that the broadcast signal has transitioned from the state in which the emergency news descriptor is included to the state in which the broadcast signal is not included (step S105: NO), the receiving apparatus 10 displays the selection screen K1 illustrated in FIG. An overlay is displayed (see display screen G12 in FIG. 6). If it is determined that an operation input by the user has been received (there is a key operation) (step S106: YES), the receiving apparatus 10 displays an overlay on the selection screen K2 shown in FIG. 7 (the display screen in FIG. 7). (See G22).
Then, the receiving device 10 determines whether or not to restart the receiver application based on a user operation input on the displayed selection screen (step S108). When restarting the receiver application is selected by a user operation input on the selection screen, the receiving apparatus 10 determines to restart the receiver application (step S108: YES). In this case, the receiving apparatus 10 ends the display of the selection screen and restarts the receiver application according to the receiver application management information (step S109). In other words, the receiving device 10 restarts the receiver application that is being executed at the time of the start of the emergency news bulletin and set to be restarted in the receiver application management information. As a result, an overlay display of the restarted receiver application is displayed on the display screen (see display screen G14 in FIGS. 6 and 7).
On the other hand, when it is selected not to restart the receiver application by the user's operation input on the selection screen, the receiving apparatus 10 determines not to restart the receiver application (step S108: NO). In this case, the receiving apparatus 10 ends the overlay display of the selection screen, and continuously displays the video of the broadcast program on the full screen.
As described above, the receiving apparatus 10 according to this embodiment includes the broadcast receiving unit 11 that receives a broadcast signal, the determination unit 1643, and the function processing unit 1644. The determination unit 1643 determines whether or not an emergency news descriptor (an example of a specific descriptor) is included in the broadcast signal received by the broadcast reception unit 11. The function processing unit 1644 includes a first processing unit, a second processing unit, and a third processing unit as main components. For example, the function processing unit 1644 executes, as the first processing unit, a receiver application as an example of a function having at least processing for displaying predetermined information on a part or all of a display screen for displaying a broadcast program based on a broadcast signal. To do. Further, the function processing unit 1644, as the second processing unit, when the determination unit 1643 determines that the emergency news descriptor is included in the broadcast signal during the execution of the receiver application, Exit. In addition, the function processing unit 1644 restarts the terminated receiver application as a third processing unit.
As described above, when the receiver application is being executed and the overlay display is being performed, the receiving device 10 displays the overlay display by terminating the receiver application that is being executed when the emergency news bulletin is broadcast. Is released. Thereby, visibility of emergency news bulletin can be secured by canceling the overlay display. In addition, since the receiving device 10 can subsequently restart the terminated receiver application, it is possible to improve convenience for a user who wants to use the receiver application again. Therefore, the receiving device 10 can improve the visibility and convenience when the emergency news bulletin is broadcast while viewing the broadcast program.
In the present embodiment, the specific descriptor is a descriptor included in the broadcast signal corresponding to the broadcast of the breaking news news, and the name of the descriptor has been described as “emergency news descriptor”. It is not limited to.
For example, if it is determined that the broadcast signal has transitioned from a state in which an emergency news descriptor is included to a state in which the broadcast signal is not included, the function processing unit 1644 restarts the terminated receiver application.
Thereby, since the receiver 10 can restart the receiver application that was being executed at the start of the emergency news bulletin after the end of the emergency news bulletin, it is convenient for the user who wants to use the receiver application again. Can be improved.
In addition, even when the emergency news descriptor is included in the broadcast signal, the function processing unit 1644 restarts the terminated receiver application when receiving an operation input.
As a result, the receiving device 10 is being executed at the start of the emergency news bulletin by a user who does not need the emergency news bulletin performing an operation input (key operation) even while the emergency news bulletin is being broadcast. The receiver app can be restarted. Therefore, a user who does not need emergency news bulletin can use the receiver application immediately, so that convenience can be improved.
Also, the function processing unit 1644 determines whether to restart the terminated receiver application based on an operation input for selecting whether to restart the receiver application.
As a result, the receiving device 10 can be restarted only when the user wants to use the terminated receiver application again, so that the convenience of the user can be improved.
Further, the function processing unit 1644 is set to restart among the terminated receiver applications based on the management information (receiver application management information) in which whether or not to restart each receiver application is set. Restart the receiver app.
Thereby, since the receiving apparatus 10 can restart only the receiver application with the high necessity of restarting, it can improve a user's convenience.
[Second Embodiment]
Next, a second embodiment of the present invention will be described.
In the present embodiment, after the emergency news bulletin ends, the receiving device 10 activates a specific receiver application regardless of the receiver application that was being executed when the emergency news bulletin started. Here, the specific application is, for example, a safety confirmation application that can register and confirm safety confirmation information in a disaster. The receiving device 10 can improve the convenience of the user by activating a safety confirmation application or the like related to the content of the emergency news bulletin when the emergency news bulletin ends.
The basic configuration of the broadcasting system 1 and the receiving device 10 of the present embodiment is the same as the configuration shown in FIGS. In the present embodiment, this can be realized by having receiver application management information having information on a receiver application that is activated at the end of the emergency news bulletin.
FIG. 9 is a diagram illustrating an example of receiver application management information according to the present embodiment. In the illustrated example, the receiver application management information is associated with a receiver application, an activation state, a state at the time of starting an emergency news bulletin, a necessity for restart, and an activation at the end of the emergency news bulletin. . The activation at the end of the emergency news bulletin is information indicating whether or not the receiver application is activated at the end of the emergency news bulletin, indicating that “◯” is activated and “x” is not activated. Here, the application W is set as an application to be activated at the end of the emergency news bulletin. For example, when the function processing unit 1644 determines that the broadcast signal has transitioned from the state in which the emergency descriptor is included to the state in which the broadcast signal is not included, the function processing unit 1644 refers to the receiver application management information and selects a specific receiver application. Let it run.
As described above, the embodiment of the present invention has been described in detail with reference to the drawings. However, the specific configuration is not limited to the above, and various design changes and the like can be made without departing from the scope of the present invention. It is possible to For example, the configurations described in the first and second embodiments described above can be arbitrarily combined.
Note that, in the above embodiment, when the receiving device 10 determines that the emergency news descriptor is included in the broadcast signal, the receiving device 10 ends the receiver app that is being executed. The size and display position of the overlay display may be changed. For example, the receiving device 10 may ensure the visibility of the emergency news bulletin by reducing the size of the overlay display of the receiver application or moving the display position to the end position in the display screen. .
Further, the receiving apparatus 10 may change the overlay display size and display position of the receiver application after restart from the size and display position before the start of the emergency news bulletin. For example, when the receiver app is activated during the broadcast of the emergency news bulletin, the receiving device 10 reduces the size of the overlay display of the receiver app or moves the display position to the end position in the display screen. Thus, the visibility of the emergency news bulletin may be secured. In addition, when the number of receiver applications after restart is smaller than before the start of the emergency news bulletin, the receiving device 10 increases the size of the overlay display of the receiver application after restart or displays the display position on the display screen. The user operability can be improved by rearranging them at appropriate positions.
In the above-described embodiment, the example in which the receiving device 10 is a television device has been described. However, the receiving device 10 is a television broadcast recorder (hard disk recorder or the like), a personal computer having a function of receiving a broadcast signal. A multi-function mobile phone (including a so-called smartphone), a tablet terminal device, or the like may be used.
In the above embodiment, the specific descriptor has been described as an example of a descriptor included in the broadcast signal corresponding to the broadcast of the breaking news, but it may be a descriptor for other purposes.
Note that some functions of the receiving device 10 in the above-described embodiment may be realized by a computer. In that case, a program for realizing this function may be recorded on a computer-readable recording medium, and the program recorded on the recording medium may be read into a computer system and executed. Here, the “computer system” is a computer system built in the receiving apparatus 10 and includes an OS and hardware such as peripheral devices. The “computer-readable recording medium” refers to a storage device such as a flexible medium, a magneto-optical disk, a portable medium such as a ROM or a CD-ROM, and a hard disk incorporated in a computer system. Furthermore, the “computer-readable recording medium” is a medium that dynamically holds a program for a short time, such as a communication line when transmitting a program via a network such as the Internet or a communication line such as a telephone line, In such a case, a volatile memory inside a computer system serving as a server or a client may be included and a program that holds a program for a certain period of time. The program may be a program for realizing a part of the functions described above, and may be a program capable of realizing the functions described above in combination with a program already recorded in a computer system.
Further, a part of the receiving apparatus 10, for example, the control unit 16 or a part or all of each unit included in the control unit 16 may be realized as an integrated circuit such as an LSI (Large Scale Integration). Each component in the receiving apparatus 10 of the present embodiment may be individually made into a processor, or a part or all of them may be integrated into a processor. Further, the method of circuit integration is not limited to LSI, and may be realized by a dedicated circuit or a general-purpose processor. In addition, when an integrated circuit technology that replaces LSI appears due to the advancement of semiconductor technology, an integrated circuit based on the technology may be used.
[Third embodiment]
The third embodiment of the present invention will be described below with reference to the drawings.
(Broadcast system configuration)
FIG. 10 is a block diagram showing a schematic configuration of a broadcasting system 1A according to the third embodiment.
The broadcasting system 1A includes a receiving device 10A and a transmitting device 20A. In the broadcasting system 1A, the number of receiving devices 10A and transmitting devices 20A is generally plural. In the following description, for ease of explanation, a case will be described in which the number of receiving apparatuses 10A and transmitting apparatuses 20A is one. In the following description, digital broadcasting such as advanced BS digital broadcasting (Super Hi-Vision) is transmitted in the broadcasting system 1A, and an MMT (MPEG Media Transport) method is adopted as a media transport method of the digital broadcasting. Take the case as an example.
例えば、映像データは、H.265、いわゆる、HEVC(High Efficiency Video Coding)などの符号化方式で符号化されたデータである。 The transmitting device 20A transmits a signal indicating multiplexed data obtained by multiplexing program data i1 and control data by radio waves. The control data is data including program arrangement information i2A and program configuration information i3A. The transmission device 20A is, for example, a transmission device possessed by a broadcaster such as a broadcast station. The program data i1A is content data including at least video data indicating videos constituting the program. In the following description, it is assumed that the program data i1A is content data including both video data and audio data.
番組配列情報i2Aとして、例えば、MMT-SI(MMT-System Information)を構成するMH-EIT(Event Information Table)が含まれる。 The program arrangement information i2A includes information related to a program broadcast on each channel at that time (current) and a program scheduled to be broadcast on each channel between that time and a predetermined time later. Accordingly, the program arrangement information i2A includes information related to the program related to the program data i1A, that is, the program broadcast at that time. For example, the program arrangement information i2A includes program identification information and broadcast date / time information as broadcast information included for each program. Here, the program identification information is information for identifying a program such as the type and arrangement of a broadcast program and its attributes, for example. The broadcast date / time information is information indicating the broadcast date / time of the program. In addition, the program arrangement information i2A includes various information used when generating an electronic program guide. As the program arrangement information i2A, for example, an MH-EIT (Event Information Table) constituting an MMT-SI (MMT-System Information) is included.
例えば、番組構成情報i3Aとしては、MMT-SIを構成するMPT(MMT Package Table;MPテーブル)が含まれる。 The program configuration information i3A includes a list of assets that are constituent elements of a program related to the program data i1A, that is, a broadcast program, and requirement information indicating various requirements thereof. An asset is element data that is a component of a program. The requirement information includes, for example, information indicating the resolution of video data included in the program data i1A. In advanced BS digital broadcasting (Super Hi-Vision), the program configuration information i3A includes an emergency news descriptor (Emergency_News_Descriptor). For example, the program configuration information i3A includes MPT (MMT Package Table; MP table) that constitutes the MMT-SI. The emergency news descriptor is arranged, for example, in the first loop (program loop) of MPT.
FIG. 11 is a diagram showing an example of the data structure of the emergency news descriptor. The emergency news descriptor includes a transmission time stamp (transmit_timestamp). The 64-bit field of the sending time stamp indicates the sending time when the emergency news descriptor is arranged in the time stamp format.
送信装置20Aは、誤り訂正符号として、例えば、BCH(Bose Chaudhuri Hocquenghem)符号とLDPC(Low Density Parity Check)符号を付加する。 Returning to FIG. 10, the transmitting apparatus 20A encrypts the multiplexed data obtained by multiplexing the program data i1A and the control data using a predetermined encryption method (for example, AES: Advanced Encryption Standard). Then, the transmitting apparatus 20A performs error correction coding on the encrypted multiplexed data, and adds the generated error correction code to the multiplexed data. The transmission device 20A adds, for example, a BCH (Bose Chaudhuri Hocquenhem) code and an LDPC (Low Density Parity Check) code as error correction codes. The transmitting apparatus 20A uses a predetermined modulation method (for example, 8PSK: 8 Phase Shift Keying (8-phase phase modulation), APSK: Amplitude and Phase Shift Keying (amplitude phase modulation)) for multiplexed data with an error correction code added. To modulate. The transmission device 20A transmits the broadcast signal generated by the modulation to the reception device 10A via the broadcast transmission path BT. The broadcast transmission path BTA is a transmission path that can simultaneously transmit broadcast signals to one or a plurality of receiving apparatuses 10A as unspecified destinations.
In the example shown in FIG. 10, the broadcast transmission path BTA is a transmission path for transmitting a broadcast signal by radio waves. In this example, the transmitting apparatus 20A up-converts a baseband broadcast signal generated by modulation into a signal of a frequency band of a predetermined channel. The transmitting device 20A transmits a broadcast signal generated by up-conversion as a radio wave to the broadcast transmission path BTA. The broadcast transmission path BTA may be configured to include a wireless or wired communication network in part or all thereof.

The receiving device 10A receives the broadcast signal transmitted from the transmitting device 20A via the broadcast transmission path BTA. The receiving device 10A separates the program data i1A and the control data from the broadcast signal, and outputs video data and audio data included in the separated program data i1A. Further, the receiving apparatus 10A analyzes the program configuration information i3A included in the separated control data and determines whether or not an emergency news descriptor is included.
In addition, the receiving device 10A executes a function having at least a process of displaying predetermined information in an overlay display (on-screen display) on a part or all of a display screen that displays a video (video of a broadcast program) based on the program data i1A. . This function is a function executed for a specific purpose such as channel call, clock display, electronic program guide, etc., and is realized by executing an application program prepared in advance in the receiving apparatus 10A. In the following description, the function executed by the receiving apparatus 10A is also referred to as “receiver application”. In the receiver application, in addition to channel call, clock display, electronic program guide, etc., various settings of the receiving apparatus 10A (reception settings, image quality settings, audio settings, etc.) and screen switching between single screen display and dual screen display Etc. are also included.
For example, if the receiving device 10A determines that an emergency news descriptor is included in the broadcast signal during execution of the receiver application, the receiving device 10A displays the broadcast program according to the viewing distance of the user (viewer) with respect to the display screen. Set the video display size. In addition, when the receiving device 10A determines that the emergency news descriptor is included in the broadcast signal while the receiver application is being executed, the receiving device 10A is currently executing according to the viewing distance of the user (viewer) with respect to the display screen. Controls whether to terminate the receiver app.
FIG. 12 is a diagram showing a transition example of the display screen according to the third embodiment. With reference to this FIG. 12, the outline | summary is demonstrated about the display screen when an emergency news bulletin is broadcast.
The display screen G10A shows an example of a display screen before the start of emergency news bulletin. Here, the receiver applications of app A and app B are being executed, and the overlay displays of app A and app B are arranged vertically in the right half area of display screen G10A. The broadcast program (TV) is displayed in a reduced size in a partial area of the left half of the display screen G10A. As an example of the display screen that transitions according to the viewing distance when the emergency news bulletin is started on the display screen G10A, a display screen G11A, a display screen G12A, and a display screen G13A are shown.
Display screen G11A is an example of a display screen when the viewing distance is sufficiently close at the start of emergency news bulletin. In the example shown in the figure, even when the display size of the broadcast program (TV) is a reduced size on the display screen G10A, the viewing distance is sufficiently close so that the visibility is sufficiently secured. In this case, the receiving device 10A does not change the display content of the display screen G11A from the display content of the display screen G10A. That is, the receiving apparatus 10A does not change the display size of the broadcast program (TV) and the overlay display of the receiver application being executed from the display screen G10A.
The display screen G12A is an example of a display screen when the viewing distance is farther than the display screen G11A but somewhat close at the start of the emergency news bulletin. In the example shown in the figure, the broadcast program (TV) is displayed with a reduced size on the display screen G10A, but the visibility is insufficient, but there is no need for full screen display. In this case, the receiving device 10A cancels the overlay display by ending the receiver application being executed, and the display size of the broadcast program (TV) is larger than the display size of the broadcast program (TV) on the display screen G10A. Set to a display size that is larger but smaller than the full-screen display size.
The display screen G13A is an example of a display screen when the viewing distance is long at the start of the emergency news bulletin. In the example shown in the figure, the broadcast program (TV) display is an example in which the reduced size on the display screen G10A is insufficient in visibility and the full screen display is necessary. In this case, the receiving apparatus 10A cancels the overlay display by ending the receiver application being executed, and changes the display size of the broadcast program (TV) to the size of the entire area of the display screen. That is, the receiving apparatus 10A displays a broadcast program (TV) on a full screen.
Thus, the receiving device 10A can display an appropriate display size according to the viewing distance of the viewer when the emergency news bulletin is broadcast. Therefore, the receiving device 10A can ensure the visibility of the emergency news bulletin. Hereinafter, the configuration of the receiving apparatus 10A will be described in detail.

The processing unit 164A includes a channel selection processing unit 1641A, a detection unit 1642A, a determination unit 1643A, a function processing unit 1644A, and a display processing unit 1645A.
The broadcast receiving unit 11A receives a broadcast signal in a frequency band corresponding to the channel indicated by the channel selection signal input from the channel selection processing unit 1641A by radio waves. As a broadcast signal, a broadcast signal transmitted from the transmission device 20A via the broadcast transmission path BTA is received. The broadcast receiving unit 11A down-converts the received broadcast signal to the base frequency band. The broadcast receiving unit 11A outputs the broadcast signal generated by the down-conversion to the demodulation unit 161A. For example, the broadcast receiving unit 11A includes a tuner.
The operation input unit 12A acquires an operation signal generated based on an operation of a viewer who is a user of the receiving device 10A. The operation input unit 12A outputs the acquired operation signal to the control unit 16A. The operation input unit 12A includes, for example, an infrared interface that receives an operation signal transmitted by infrared from the remote controller RCA. The remote controller RCA includes a plurality of buttons, and generates an operation signal indicating an instruction (command) corresponding to the button pressed by the operation of the viewer. The instructions include an instruction of a channel for receiving a broadcast signal, an instruction to execute various receiver applications (channel call, clock display, electronic program guide, etc.) displayed on the display unit 14A as overlay.
The operation input unit 12A may include a physical member such as a button or a knob, and may generate an operation signal corresponding to the operation received by the member. The operation input unit 12A may include an input / output interface that receives an operation signal from another electronic device wirelessly or by wire. Other electronic devices include, for example, an electronic device including a display capable of displaying an image and a pointing device such as a touch sensor that receives an operation input, such as a multifunctional mobile phone (including a so-called smartphone), a tablet terminal device, and the like But you can.
The loudspeaker 13A reproduces the voice based on the voice signal input from the voice processor 163A of the controller 16A. The loudspeaker 13A includes, for example, a speaker. The loudspeaker 13A reproduces sound based on the program data i1A conveyed from the transmission device 20A by a broadcast signal, for example.
The display unit 14A includes, for example, a liquid crystal panel, and displays a video (broadcast program video) based on the video signal input from the processing unit 164A. The display unit 14A displays, for example, a broadcast program video and an emergency news bulletin video or information based on the program data i1A conveyed from the transmission device 20A by a broadcast signal. Further, the display unit 14A performs an overlay display by the executed receiver application. For example, when a channel call is operated by the remote controller RC, the display unit 14A displays the channel call in an overlay manner. In addition, when an operation for displaying the program guide is performed by the remote controller RC, the display unit 14A displays an electronic program guide based on the program arrangement information i2A.
記憶部15Aは、例えば、ROM(Read Only Memory)やRAM(Random Access Memory)などの記憶媒体を含んで構成される。 The storage unit 15A stores a program for the control unit 16A or a component in the control unit 16A to execute various processes, data used for the process, and data generated by the process. The storage unit 15A includes, for example, a storage medium such as a ROM (Read Only Memory) and a RAM (Random Access Memory). Note that the storage unit 15A may be configured to include other storage media or a storage device such as an HDD (Hard disk drive).
The control unit 16A extracts program data i1A and control data from the broadcast signal input from the broadcast receiving unit 11A. For example, the control unit 16A outputs an audio signal based on the extracted program data i1A to the loudspeaker unit 13A, and outputs a video signal based on the program data i1A to the display unit 14A. Further, the control unit 16A outputs a video signal indicating a channel call, a clock display, an electronic program guide, and the like to the display unit 14A in accordance with the execution of the receiver application.
The demodulator 161A performs front-end processing on the broadcast signal input from the broadcast receiver 11A and converts it into multiplexed data. The front-end process is a series of processes from decoding a broadcast signal that is an analog signal to converting it into a multiplexed signal that is digital data. The front-end processing includes demodulation, error correction, and encryption processing. Each process of demodulation and encryption is equivalent to the reverse process of the modulation and encryption in the transmission apparatus 20A. In the error correction process, the error correction code added in the transmission device 20A is used. For example, the demodulation unit 161A performs syndrome decoding using a BCH code and performs a parity check using an LDPC code as error correction processing. The demodulator 161A outputs the converted multiplexed data to the separator 162A.
The separation unit 162A separates the multiplexed data input from the demodulation unit 161A into program data i1A and control data. The separation unit 162A further separates the control data into program arrangement information i2A and program configuration information i3A. The separation unit 162A extracts audio data and video data from the program data i1A with reference to the MPT included in the separated program configuration information i3A. The separation unit 162A outputs the extracted audio data to the audio processing unit 163A, and outputs the extracted video data to the display processing unit 1645A of the processing unit 164A. The separation unit 162A outputs the separated program arrangement information i2A to the function processing unit 1644A of the processing unit 164A, and outputs the separated program configuration information i3A to the determination unit 1643A.
The voice processing unit 163A decodes the voice data input from the separation unit 162A using a predetermined voice decoding method. The speech decoding method used by the speech processing unit 163A is a speech decoding method corresponding to the speech coding method used for encoding the speech data transmitted by the transmission device 20A. The voice processing unit 163A outputs the voice signal obtained by decoding to the loudspeaker unit 13A.
The channel selection processing unit 1641A selects a channel for receiving a broadcast signal based on the operation signal input from the operation input unit 12A. When an operation signal designating a specific channel is input, the channel selection processing unit 1641A selects a channel indicated by the operation signal. The specific channel corresponds to a channel related to the pressed channel button among the channel buttons provided in the remote controller RCA. When the electronic program guide is displayed on the display unit 14A, the channel selection processing unit 1641A may select a channel that broadcasts a program related to the display frame indicated by the operation signal among the display frames for each program. Good. The channel selection processing unit 1641A outputs a channel selection signal indicating the selected channel to the broadcast receiving unit 11A. Thereby, the channel selection processing unit 1641A can cause the broadcast receiving unit 11A to receive the broadcast signal on the selected channel.
The detecting unit 1642A detects the viewing distance of the viewer with respect to the display screen of the display unit 14A based on the output of the sensor 30A. The sensor 30A may be, for example, an optical distance measuring sensor or an imaging device (camera). The sensor 30A may be provided inside the receiving device 10A or may be connected as an external device. Based on the output of the sensor 30A, the detection unit 1642A detects the viewing distance using, for example, the principle of triangulation. Then, the detection unit 1642A outputs the detection result to the function processing unit 1644A and the display processing unit 1645A.
The determination unit 1643A determines whether or not an emergency news descriptor is included in the broadcast signal. Specifically, the determination unit 1643A analyzes the program configuration information i3A input from the separation unit 162A and determines whether or not an emergency news descriptor is included. Then, determination unit 1643A outputs the determination result to function processing unit 1644A and display processing unit 1645A.
The function processing unit 1644A controls the execution of the receiver application. For example, the function processing unit 1644A executes a receiver application. For example, the function processing unit 1644A executes the receiver application based on an operation signal input from the operation input unit 12A to the control unit 16A. The operation signal at this time is an operation signal indicating an instruction to execute various receiver applications (channel call, clock display, electronic program guide, etc.).
For example, when the channel call receiver application is executed, the function processing unit 1644A generates an overlay display signal including characters indicating a channel and the like based on the currently viewed program arrangement information i2A and outputs the overlay display signal to the display processing unit 1645A. To do. In addition, when executing the clock display receiver application, the function processing unit 1644A, based on the time information included in the broadcast signal or the time information of the clock function inside the receiving device 10A, etc. Is generated and output to the display processing unit 1645A. In addition, when the electronic program guide receiver application is executed, the function processing unit 1644A generates an overlay display signal including the electronic program guide based on the MH-EIT included in the program arrangement information i2A, and sends it to the display processing unit 1645A. Output.
In addition, when the determination unit 1643A determines that the emergency news descriptor is included in the broadcast signal during execution of the receiver application, the function processing unit 1644A, depending on the viewing distance detected by the detection unit 1642A, Controls whether the running receiver app is terminated. For example, for each receiver application, the function processing unit 1644A ends the running receiver application based on the emergency news breaking time control table in which the viewing distance and whether to end the receiver application are associated with each other. Control whether or not. A specific example of the emergency news bulletin time control table will be described later.
The display processing unit 1645A decodes the video data input from the separation unit 162A using a predetermined video decoding method. The video decoding method used by the display processing unit 1645A is a video decoding method corresponding to the video encoding method used for encoding the video data transmitted by the transmission device 20A. By this decoding, a video signal representing the video of the broadcast program is generated. Display processing unit 1645A outputs the generated video signal to display unit 14A. When the broadcast signal includes the emergency news bulletin, the display processing unit 1645A generates a video signal from the video data including the emergency news bulletin data and outputs the video signal to the display unit 14A. Also, the display processing unit 1645A acquires an overlay display signal indicating the channel call, clock display, electronic program guide, etc. generated by the function processing unit 1644A according to the execution of the receiver application, and broadcasts the acquired overlay display signal. A video signal including an overlay display superimposed on the video signal of the program is generated and output to the display unit 14A.
When it is determined that the broadcast signal includes an emergency news descriptor, the display processing unit 1645A sets the display size of the broadcast program displayed on the display screen according to the viewing distance detected by the detection unit 1642A. To do. For example, the display processing unit 1645A detects the distance of the viewing distance by comparing the detected viewing distance with a preset threshold, and sets the display size based on the detection result.
For example, if the viewing distance detected by the detection unit 1642A is greater than or equal to the first threshold (when the viewing distance is far), the display processing unit 1645A sets the display size of the broadcast program displayed on the display screen to the entire area of the display screen. Set to the size of (full screen display). Also, the display processing unit 1645A displays the display size of the broadcast program when the viewing distance detected by the detection unit 1642A is greater than or equal to the second threshold and less than the first threshold (when the viewing distance is close to some extent). Is set to a predetermined size smaller than the entire area. Display processing unit 1645A does not change the display size of the broadcast program when the viewing distance detected by detection unit 1642A is less than the second threshold (when the viewing distance is sufficiently close).
(Threshold table)
FIG. 14 is a diagram illustrating an example of a threshold value table used for determining the viewing distance. In the threshold value table shown in the figure, the distance of each threshold value is set. Here, the first threshold is 4 m, and the second threshold is 2 m. Therefore, the receiving apparatus 10A refers to this threshold table, and based on the detection result of the viewing distance by the detection unit 1642A, determines that the viewing distance is 4 m or more, and determines that the viewing distance is 2 m or more and less than 4 m. It is determined that the distance is close to a certain extent, and if the distance is less than 2 m, it is determined that the viewing distance is sufficiently close. Although the case where there are two threshold values has been described here as an example, the display size may be set in more detail based on three or more threshold values.
(Emergency news breaking time control table)
The display size set according to the viewing distance determined using each threshold is set in the emergency news breaking time control table together with the control of the receiver application.
FIG. 15 is a diagram illustrating an example of the emergency news breaking time control table according to the third embodiment. In the emergency news bulletin time control table, viewing distance, display size, and receiver application control are associated.
In the example shown in the figure, as the control information when the viewing distance is equal to or greater than the first threshold, the display size setting of the broadcast program is set to full screen display and the receiver application being executed is set to end. Yes. Also, as control information when the viewing distance is greater than or equal to the second threshold value and less than the first threshold value, the display size setting of the broadcast program is displayed at 60% (display at a size of 60% relative to the full screen display) And the termination of the running receiver application. Also, as control information when the viewing distance is less than the second threshold, it is set that the display size setting of the broadcast program is not changed and that the receiver application being executed is not changed (does not end). Yes.
The first and second threshold values in the threshold table, the display size of the emergency news bulletin time control table, and the control settings of the receiver application are the size of the display screen and the display size of information included in the emergency news bulletin. Can be arbitrarily determined based on For example, each setting may be set in advance in the receiving apparatus 10A. Moreover, the information which shows each setting may be transmitted to a broadcast signal for every emergency news bulletin, and 10 A of receiving apparatuses may control based on each setting. Each setting may be arbitrarily set or changed by the user.
(Operation)
Next, the operation of the emergency news breaking process according to the third embodiment will be described.
FIG. 16 is a flowchart illustrating an example of processing at the time of emergency news breaking according to the third embodiment.
The receiving device 10A receives the broadcast signal (step S101A). Here, on the display screen that displays the broadcast program (video of the broadcast program) based on the received broadcast signal, an overlay display of the receiver application being executed is displayed, and the display of the broadcast program is displayed in a reduced size. (See display screen G10A in FIG. 12). Then, the receiving apparatus 10A determines whether or not an emergency news descriptor is included in the received broadcast signal (step S102A). When it is determined that the emergency signal descriptor is not included in the broadcast signal (step S102A: NO), the process returns to step S101A.
On the other hand, when it is determined that the emergency news descriptor is included in the broadcast signal (step S102A: YES), the receiving device 10A detects the viewing distance with respect to the display screen (step S103A). Then, the receiving apparatus 10A refers to the threshold table (FIG. 14) and determines whether or not the viewing distance detected by the detection unit 1642A is equal to or greater than the first threshold (step S104A).
When it is determined that the viewing distance is equal to or greater than the first threshold (step S104A: YES), the receiving device 10A selects the receiver application being executed based on the setting in the emergency news breaking time control table (FIG. 15). At the same time, the overlay display is canceled, and the display size of the broadcast program is changed to full screen display (see display screen G13A in FIG. 12) (step S105A).
On the other hand, when it is determined that the viewing distance is less than the first threshold (step S104A: NO), the receiving device 10A determines whether the viewing distance detected by the detection unit 1642A is equal to or greater than the second threshold. (Step S106A). When it is determined that the viewing distance is greater than or equal to the second threshold (step S106A: YES), the receiving device 10A ends the receiver application being executed and overlays based on the setting in the emergency news breaking time control table. The display is canceled and the display size of the broadcast program is changed to 60% display (see display screen G12A in FIG. 12) (step S107A).
On the other hand, when it is determined that the viewing distance is less than the second threshold (step S106A: NO), the receiving device 10A, based on the setting of the emergency news breaking time control table, the receiver application and broadcast program being executed The processing is terminated without changing the display size (see display screen G11A in FIG. 12).
As described above, the receiving device 10A according to the third embodiment includes the broadcast receiving unit 11A that receives a broadcast signal, the determination unit 1643A, the detection unit 1642A, and the display processing unit 1645A. The determination unit 1643A determines whether or not an emergency news descriptor (an example of a specific descriptor) is included in the broadcast signal received by the broadcast reception unit 11A. The detection unit 1642A detects the viewing distance of the viewer with respect to the display screen that displays the broadcast program based on the broadcast signal. When it is determined that the broadcast signal includes the emergency news descriptor, the display processing unit 1645A sets the display size of the broadcast program according to the viewing distance detected by the detection unit 1642A. Here, the specific descriptor is a descriptor included in the broadcast signal corresponding to the broadcast of the emergency news bulletin or the like. In the third embodiment, the name of the specific descriptor is described as “emergency news descriptor”, but the name is not limited to this name.
Thereby, the receiving device 10A can display an appropriate display size according to the viewing distance of the viewer when the emergency news bulletin is broadcast. Therefore, the receiving device 10A can ensure the visibility of the emergency news bulletin.
For example, when the viewing distance detected by the detection unit 1642A is equal to or greater than the first threshold, the display processing unit 1645A sets the display size of the broadcast program to the size of the entire area of the display screen.
Thereby, the receiving apparatus 10A can display the broadcast program in full screen when the viewing distance of the viewer is far, so that the visibility of the emergency news bulletin can be ensured.
In addition, the display processing unit 1645A, when the viewing distance detected by the detection unit 1642A is equal to or larger than the second threshold and smaller than the first threshold, the display size of the broadcast program is smaller than the entire area of the display screen. Set to size.
Thereby, when the viewing distance of the viewer is close to a certain extent, the receiving apparatus 10A can display the broadcast program with an appropriate size corresponding to the viewing distance, which is smaller than the full screen display. Therefore, the receiving device 10A can ensure the visibility of the emergency news bulletin and does not surprise the viewer without suddenly unnecessarily increasing the display size when the display size is changed.
Further, the display processing unit 1645A does not change the display size of the broadcast program when the viewing distance detected by the detection unit 1642A is less than the second threshold.
That is, when the viewing distance of the viewer is sufficiently close, the receiving device 10A ensures the visibility of the emergency news bulletin for the viewer, and thus the viewer has viewed the display size of the broadcast program until then. Do not change the size. As a result, when the emergency news bulletin is broadcast, the receiving device 10A does not suddenly increase the display size even though the viewing distance is sufficiently close, so that the viewer is not surprised.
Note that when the broadcast program is displayed in a size that is psychologically secured with respect to the viewing distance before the start of the emergency news bulletin (for example, in the case of full screen display), the viewing distance is the second. In any case of less than the threshold, greater than the second threshold, less than the first threshold, and greater than or equal to the first threshold, the receiving apparatus 10A performs control that does not change the display size.
Further, the receiving apparatus 10A may control the changing speed when changing the display size according to the viewing distance. For example, even when the viewing distance is sufficiently close, the receiving device 10A gradually increases the display size of the broadcast program to gradually increase the display size of the broadcast program (for example, the broadcast program ( (TV) display screen) may be changed to full screen display. Accordingly, the receiving apparatus 10A can increase the display size of the broadcast program without surprise the viewer.
Further, the receiving apparatus 10A includes a function processing unit 1644A that executes a receiver application. The receiver application is a function having at least processing for displaying predetermined information on part or all of the display screen. When the determination unit 1643A determines that the broadcast signal includes an emergency news descriptor (an example of a specific descriptor) during execution of the receiver application, the function processing unit 1644A detects that the detection unit 1642A Whether or not to terminate the running receiver application is controlled according to the detected viewing distance.
Thereby, the receiving apparatus 10A can control the overlay display of the receiver application so as not to get in the way when the display size of the broadcast program is increased according to the viewing distance when the emergency news bulletin is broadcast.
As described above, the embodiment of the present invention has been described in detail with reference to the drawings. However, the specific configuration is not limited to the above, and various design changes and the like can be made without departing from the scope of the present invention. It is possible to
For example, in the third embodiment, the example in which the receiving device 10A is a television device has been described. However, the receiving device 10A is a television broadcast recorder (such as a hard disk recorder) having a function of receiving a broadcast signal. It may be a personal computer, a multifunctional mobile phone (including a so-called smartphone), a tablet terminal device, or the like.
In the third embodiment, the example in which the specific descriptor is a descriptor included in the broadcast signal corresponding to the broadcast of the emergency news bulletin has been described. Good.
Note that some of the functions of the receiving apparatus 10A in the third embodiment described above may be realized by a computer. In that case, a program for realizing this function may be recorded on a computer-readable recording medium, and the program recorded on the recording medium may be read into a computer system and executed. Here, the “computer system” is a computer system built in the receiving apparatus 10A, and includes an OS and hardware such as peripheral devices.
Further, a part of the receiving apparatus 10A, for example, the control unit 16A or a part or all of each unit included in the control unit 16A may be realized as an integrated circuit such as an LSI (Large Scale Integration). In addition, each component in the receiving apparatus 10 of the third embodiment may be individually made into a processor, or a part or all of them may be integrated into a processor. Further, the method of circuit integration is not limited to LSI, and may be realized by a dedicated circuit or a general-purpose processor. In addition, when an integrated circuit technology that replaces LSI appears due to the advancement of semiconductor technology, an integrated circuit based on the technology may be used.
