Abstract

Se describe un sello reductor de velocidad de los proyectiles disparados por armas de fuego de alto poder diseñado para incorporarse al interior de una cámara de recuperación de proyectiles del tipo que se utiliza en laboratorios de balística forense, en donde los expertos o peritos realizan estudios de identificación de armas de fuego y marcas de herramienta, también conocidos como examen de la huella mecánica balística, que particularmente imprime cada arma de fuego sobre los casquillos y los proyectiles que son disparados por la misma. El sello reductor comprende un receptáculo, dotado con tapa removible o tipo escotilla, en cuyo interior se coloca un cartucho hecho de material reductor de velocidad de proyectiles, el cual se inserta dentro de dicha cámara de manera que dicho cartucho queda posicionado en la linea de disparo del arma de fuego de alto poder con el propósito de reducir sustancialmente la velocidad del proyectil antes de que impacte el medio reductor de velocidad con que cuenta la propia cámara.
