Abstract

L'invention concerne un fil de diamant (10), pour couper en général des blocs de marbre, de granit et de matériaux de pierre et autres matériaux, qui comprend un câble en acier (12) ayant plusieurs brins pourvus d'une pluralité de perles (14) perforées de façon axiale. Ces perles sont enfilées sur le câble lui-même et espacées de façon appropriée les unes des autres en fonction du type et des propriétés du matériau à couper. Les perles (14) sont faites en polymères de matière plastique imprégnés de granules de diamant synthétique et sont liées au câble (12) au moyen d'une fonction d'auto-blocage.
