Abstract
본 발명의 한 실시예에 따른 렌즈는 기재, 그리고 상기 기재 상에 형성되며, 친수성 작용기를 가지는 고분자를 포함하는 친수 코팅층을 포함한다. 이에 따라, 초친수 특성을 가지며, 내마모성이 우수한 렌즈, 이를 포함하는 렌즈 어셈블리 및 카메라 모듈을 얻을 수 있다.
Description
본 발명은 렌즈에 관한 것으로, 보다 상세하게는 표면에 코팅층이 형성된 렌즈 및 이를 포함하는 렌즈 어셈블리에 관한 것이다.
카메라 모듈에 포함되는 렌즈 어셈블리 중 최외각에 배치되는 렌즈는 외부 환경에 노출된다. 특히, 카메라 모듈이 차량에 장착될 경우, 비, 안개, 빛 반사, 먼지 등에 의하여 카메라 모듈의 광학적 특성이 나빠지거나, 시야가 불충분하게 확보될 수 있다.
이에 따라, 카메라 모듈의 렌즈를 친수 코팅층으로 코팅하고자 하는 시도가 있다. 카메라 모듈의 렌즈 표면을 친수 코팅할 경우, 빛의 산란, 서리, 김서림, 오염, 이미지 굴곡 등의 문제를 해결할 수 있다.
다만, 렌즈 표면에 친수성 용액을 코팅하고자 하는 경우, 렌즈의 표면 저항으로 인하여 친수성 용액이 쉽게 코팅되지 않는 문제가 있다. 또한, 코팅이 되더라도 렌즈 표면과 친수 코팅층 간의 결합력이 낮으므로 친수 코팅층이 마모되거나 이탈되기 쉬우며, 초친수 특성을 얻기 어려운 문제가 있다.
본 발명이 이루고자 하는 기술적 과제는 비, 안개 등의 외부 환경에서도 광학적 특성 및 시야를 안정적으로 확보할 수 있는 렌즈 및 이를 포함하는 렌즈 어셈블리를 제공하는 것이다.
본 발명의 한 실시예에 따른 렌즈는 기재, 그리고 상기 기재 상에 형성되며, 친수성 작용기를 가지는 고분자를 포함하는 제1 친수 코팅층을 포함한다.
상기 기재 및 상기 제1 친수 코팅층은 공유결합될 수 있다.
상기 기재 및 상기 제1 친수 코팅층은 상기 기재의 O와 상기 제1 친수 코팅층의 Si 또는 C에 의하여 공유결합될 수 있다.
상기 친수성 작용기는 히드록실기, 아미노기 및 에폭시기로 이루어진 그룹에서 선택될 수 있다.
상기 친수성 작용기를 가지는 고분자는 70,000 내지 120,000의 분자량을 가질 수 있다.
상기 제1 친수 코팅층 상에 형성되며, 무기 입자를 포함하는 제2 친수 코팅층을 더 포함할 수 있다.
상기 제2 친수 코팅층의 무기 입자의 적어도 일부가 상기 제1 친수 코팅층의 고분자 사이에 존재할 수 있다.

본 발명의 한 실시예에 따른 렌즈 어셈블리는 하우징, 상기 하우징 내에 수용되는 렌즈, 그리고 상기 하우징의 일단에 결합되며, 상기 렌즈를 지지하는 리테이너를 포함하고, 상기 렌즈는 기재, 그리고 상기 기재 상에 형성되며, 친수성 작용기를 가지는 고분자를 포함하는 친수 코팅층을 포함한다.
본 발명의 실시예에 따르면, 비, 안개 등의 외부 환경에서도 광학적 특성 및 시야를 안정적으로 확보할 수 있는 렌즈, 이를 포함하는 렌즈 어셈블리 및 카메라 모듈을 얻을 수 있다. 특히, 본 발명의 실시예에 따른 렌즈 및 렌즈 어셈블리는 초친수 특성을 가지고, 내마모성이 높으며, 비, 안개 등의 외부 환경에서도 광학적 특성 및 시야를 안정적으로 확보할 수 있다.

도 1을 참조하면, 렌즈 어셈블리(100)는 하우징(110), 하우징(110) 내에 수용되는 렌즈(120), 그리고 하우징(110)의 일단에 결합되며, 렌즈(120)를 지지하는 리테이너(retainer, 130)를 포함한다.
여기서, 렌즈(120)는 물체(object) 측으로부터 상(image) 측으로 순차적으로 배열되는 복수 매의 렌즈를 포함할 수 있다. 각 렌즈는 양의 굴절능 또는 음의 굴절능을 가질 수 있으며, 볼록한 면, 오목한 면 또는 메니스커스 형상 등을 가질 수 있다. 복수 매의 렌즈의 굴절능 및 면 형상은 요구되는 초점 거리 등에 따라 다양하게 조합될 수 있다.
본 발명의 한 실시예에 따른 렌즈 어셈블리는 카메라 모듈, 예를 들면 차량용 카메라 모듈 내에 포함될 수 있다. 카메라 모듈은 본 발명의 한 실시예에 따른 렌즈 어셈블리, 필터, 이미지 센서 및 인쇄회로기판을 포함할 수 있다. 이를 위하여, 도시되지 않았으나, 렌즈 어셈블리의 후방에는 필터, 이미지 센서 및 인쇄회로기판이 순차적으로 배치될 수 있다. 즉, 인쇄회로기판 상에 이미지 센서가 장착되고, 이미지 센서 상에 필터가 형성될 수 있다. 여기서, 이미지 센서는 와이어(wire)에 의하여 인쇄회로기판과 연결될 수 있다. 이미지 센서는, 예를 들면 CCD(Charge-Coupled Device) 또는 CMOS(Complementary Metal-Oxide Semiconductor) 센서일 수 있다. 그리고, 필터는 IR(Infrared) 필터일 수 있다. 필터는 카메라 모듈 내에 입사되는 광으로부터 근적외선, 예를 들면 파장이 700nm 내지 1100nm인 빛을 차단할 수 있다.
한편, 복수 매의 렌즈 중 물체 측에 가장 가까이 배열되는 렌즈(이하, 최외각 렌즈라 한다)는 한 면이 외부에 노출된다. 렌즈의 한 면이 비, 안개 등의 외부 환경에 노출되는 경우, 카메라 모듈의 광학적 특성이 나빠지거나, 시야가 불충분하게 확보될 수 있다.
이에 따라, 카메라 모듈의 렌즈를 친수 코팅층으로 코팅하고자 하는 시도가 있다. 친수 코팅을 하면, 렌즈 상의 물방울이 퍼지게 된다. 이에 따라, 렌즈 표면의 김서림 또는 물맺힘을 방지할 수 있다.
도 2는 본 발명의 한 실시예에 따른 렌즈의 단면도이다.
도 2를 참조하면, 렌즈(120)는 기재(122), 그리고 기재(122) 상에 형성되며 친수성 작용기(hydrophilic functional group)를 가지는 고분자를 포함하는 친수 코팅층(124)을 포함한다. 여기서, 기재(122)는 유리 또는 플라스틱일 수 있으며, 고분자에 포함되는 친수성 작용기는 히드록실기(-OH), 아미노기(-NH3) 및 에폭시기로 이루어진 그룹에서 선택될 수 있다. 이와 같이, 친수 코팅층(124)이 친수성 작용기를 가지는 고분자를 포함하면, 렌즈(120)의 표면이 습윤성(wettability) 또는 친수성(hydrophilicity)을 가지게 될 수 있다. 특히, 친수성 작용기가 고분자를 형성하는 단량체마다 결합되면, 친수 코팅층(124) 내 친수성 작용기의 밀도를 높일 수 있으므로, 친수 코팅층(124)은 초친수의 특성을 가질 수 있다. 이에 따라, 렌즈(120)의 표면, 즉 친수 코팅층(124) 상에 물을 떨어뜨릴 경우 접촉각을 15˚ 이하, 바람직하게는 10˚ 이하, 더욱 바람직하게는 5 ˚ 이하로 유지할 수 있다. 여기서, 접촉각은 기재 상에 물을 떨어뜨릴 경우, 물방울과 기재 간의 경계면 및 기재의 수평면이 이루는 각도를 의미한다. 이와 같이, 렌즈(120)의 표면이 초친수 특성을 가지게 되면, 비, 안개, 등의 환경에서도 깨끗한 시야를 확보할 수 있다. 이때, 친수 코팅층은 친수성 작용기를 가지는 고분자를 포함하는 친수 코팅액으로부터 형성되며, 친수 코팅액은 비이온계 계면활성제 및 용매 중 적어도 하나를 더 포함할 수 있다.
여기서, 기재(122) 및 친수 코팅층(124)은 서로 공유결합될 수 있다. 기재(122) 및 친수 코팅층(124)은, 예를 들어 기재(122)의 O와 친수 코팅층(124)의 Si 또는 C에 의하여 공유결합될 수 있다. 이를 위하여, 기재(122)가 글래스 기재인 경우, 기재(122) 표면을 플라즈마 처리, 할로겐화 알킬 처리 또는 산염기 처리하여 히드록실기(-OH)를 활성화시킬 수 있다. 이에 따라, 기재(122)와 친수 코팅층(124) 간의 결합력이 강해지므로, 내구성 및 내마모성이 높아질 수 있다.
이때, 친수 코팅층(124)의 두께는 1nm 내지 100nm, 바람직하게는 2nm 내지 10nm일 수 있다. 친수 코팅층(124)의 두께가 1nm 미만이면, 친수 코팅층(124)이 마모되기 쉬워지며, 친수 특성이 나빠질 수 있다. 이에 따라, 카메라 모듈의 신뢰성이 낮아질 수 있다. 반면, 친수 코팅층(124)의 두께가 100nm를 초과하면, 기재(122)의 표면과 친수 코팅층(124) 간의 결합력이 낮아져 친수 코팅층(124)이 벗겨질 수 있으므로, 친수 특성이 나빠질 수 있다.
도 3은 본 발명의 한 실시예에 따라 빗살형(brush type) 고분자로 친수 코팅된 렌즈의 개략도이고, 도 4는 도 3의 친수 코팅 방법을 나타내는 일 예이며, 도 5는 도 4의 방법에 따라 코팅된 렌즈 표면의 SEM 사진이고, 도 6은 도 3의 친수 코팅 방법을 나타내는 다른 예이며, 도 7은 도 6의 방법에 따라 코팅된 렌즈 표면의 SEM 사진이다.
도 3을 참조하면, 기재(122) 상에 친수성 작용기(124-1)를 포함하는 빗살형 고분자가 결합되어 있다.
이를 위하여, 도 4를 참조하면, 기재(122)의 표면을 세정한 후, 활성화(activation)한다. 기재(122)의 표면을 활성화하기 위하여 플라즈마 처리, 할로겐화 알킬(alkyl halide) 처리 또는 산염기 처리를 할 수 있다. 기재(122) 상에 플라즈마 처리, 할로겐화 알킬 처리 또는 산염기 처리를 하면, 기재(122)의 표면 상에 히드록실기(-OH)가 활성화된다. 이후, 기재(122)의 표면 상에 히드록실기(-OH)를 가지는 고분자를 가해주면, 기재(122) 표면 상에서 활성화된 히드록실기와 고분자에 포함되는 히드록실기가 반응하여 기재(122)와 고분자가 공유결합할 수 있다. 이때, 고분자는 친수성 작용기(-R)를 가진다. 여기서, 친수성 작용기는, 예를 들면 히드록실기, 아미노기 및 에폭시기로 이루어진 그룹에서 선택될 수 있다.
기재(122) 상에 빗살형 고분자를 형성하는 다른 방법으로, 도 6을 참조하면, 기재(122)를 세정한 후, 활성화(activation)한다. 기재(122)를 활성화하기 위하여 플라즈마 처리, 할로겐화 알킬(alkyl halide) 처리 또는 산염기 처리를 할 수 있다.
이후, 기재(122) 표면 상에 친수성 작용기(-R)를 가지는 모노머(monomer)를 가해주면, 활성화된 기재(122) 표면 상에 모노머가 결합한다. 예를 들어, 도 6과 같이 기재(122) 표면을 할로겐화 알킬 처리한 경우, 기재(122) 표면에는 -Cl(chloride)이 활성화된다. 활성화된 기재(122) 표면 상에 이중 결합을 가지는 모노머를 투입하면, 모노머의 이중 결합이 활성화되면서 -Cl이 이탈되고, 모노머와 기재(122) 표면이 결합하게 된다. 그리고, 모노머가 결합된 기재(122) 표면을 다시 활성화한 후 친수성 작용기를 가지는 모노머를 가해주면, 활성화된 기재(122)의 표면 상에 모노머가 다시 결합한다. 이러한 과정을 반복적으로 수행하면, 친수성 작용기를 가지는 모노머가 중합되어 빗살형 고분자를 형성할 수 있다. 여기서, 친수성 작용기는, 예를 들면 히드록실기, 아미노기 및 에폭시기로 이루어진 그룹에서 선택될 수 있다. 도 6 내지 7과 같이 기재(122)의 표면 상에 모노머를 반복적으로 첨가하여 고분자로 중합시킬 경우, 도 4 내지 5와 같이 기재(122)의 표면 상에 고분자를 직접 결합시키는 경우에 비하여 친수 코팅층(124) 내 친수성 작용기의 밀도가 더 높으므로, 친수 특성이 더욱 우수하다.
도 8은 본 발명의 다른 실시예에 따라 사다리형(ladder type) 고분자로 친수 코팅된 렌즈의 개략도이고, 도 9는 도 8의 친수 코팅 방법의 일 예를 나타내는 도면이며, 도 10은 도 9의 방법에 따라 코팅된 렌즈 표면의 SEM이다.
도 8을 참조하면, 기재(122) 상에 친수성 작용기(124-1)를 포함하는 사다리형 고분자가 결합되어 있다.
이를 위하여, 도 9을 참조하면, 기재(122)를 세정한 후, 활성화(activation)한다. 기재(122)를 활성화하기 위하여 플라즈마 처리, 할로겐화 알킬(alkyl halide) 처리 또는 산염기 처리를 할 수 있다. 기재(122) 상에 플라즈마 처리, 할로겐화 알킬 처리 또는 산염기 처리를 하면, 기재(122) 표면 상에 히드록실기(-OH)가 활성화된다.
이후, 기재(122) 표면 상에 친수성 작용기(-R)를 가지는 라디칼을 가해주면, 기재(122) 표면 상에서 활성화된 히드록실기와 친수성 작용기를 가지는 라디칼이 반응한다. 라디칼은 반응성이 높으므로, 기재(122) 표면 상에서 지속적으로 성장하여 사다리형 고분자를 형성할 수 있다. 여기서, 친수성 작용기는, 예를 들면 히드록실기, 아미노기 및 에폭시기로 이루어진 그룹에서 선택될 수 있다.
도 6 내지 10과 같이 모노머 중합으로 친수 코팅층을 형성하거나, 라디칼 중합으로 친수 코팅층을 형성한 경우, 기재와 친수 코팅층 간의 결합력 및 친수 코팅층 내 친수성 작용기의 밀도가 높으므로, 내마모성 및 친수 특성이 높게 나타날 수 있다.
이하, 비교예 및 실시예에 따라 표면에 친수 코팅층이 형성된 렌즈의 접촉각, 투과율, 내마모성 테스트 후 접촉각, 내열성 테스트 후 접촉각 및 열충격 테스트 후 접촉각을 측정하였다.
비교예 Ⅰ는 TiO2계 무기 나노 코팅 방법에 따라 기재 상에 친수 코팅층을 형성한 예이며, 실시예 Ⅰ-1은 도 4의 방법과 같이 글래스 기재를 활성화한 후 친수성 작용기인 히드록실기를 포함하는 고분자를 결합시켜 친수 코팅층을 형성한 예이며, 실시예 Ⅰ-2는 도 6의 방법과 같이 글래스 기재를 활성화한 후 친수성 작용기인 히드록실기를 포함하는 모노머를 중합시켜 친수 코팅층을 형성한 예이고, 실시예 Ⅰ-3은 도 9의 방법과 같이 글래스 기재를 활성화한 후 친수성 작용기인 히드록실기를 포함하는 라디칼을 중합시켜 친수 코팅층을 형성한 예이다.
비교예 Ⅰ 및 실시예 Ⅰ-1 내지 Ⅰ-3을 비교하기 위하여, 비교예 Ⅰ 및 실시예 Ⅰ-1 내지 Ⅰ-3에 따라 제작된 렌즈의 표면 상에 물을 뿌린 후 물이 퍼지는 접촉각을 측정하였다. 그리고, 내마모성 테스트 후 접촉각을 비교하기 위하여, 비교예 Ⅰ 및 실시예 Ⅰ-1 내지 Ⅰ-3에 따라 제작된 렌즈의 표면 상에 100±5mm 길이의 캔버스천을 이용하여 4.9N의 힘으로 1,500회동안 마모시킨 후 물을 뿌리고 접촉각을 측정하였다. 그리고, 내열성 테스트 후 접촉각을 비교하기 위하여, 비교예 Ⅰ 및 실시예 Ⅰ-1 내지 Ⅰ-3에 따라 제작된 렌즈를 -40℃와 80℃에서 1000cycle 동안 처리한 후 물을 뿌리고 접촉각을 측정하였다. 그리고, 열충격 테스트 후 접촉각을 비교하기 위하여, 80℃, -40℃ 및 95% 습도 하에서 50℃를 5cycle동안 처리한 후 물을 뿌리고, 접촉각을 측정하였다. 여기서, 접촉각은 기재 상에 물을 떨어뜨릴 경우, 물방울과 기재 간의 경계면 및 기재의 수평면이 이루는 각도를 의미한다.

표 1을 참조하면, TiO2계 무기 나노 코팅 방법에 따라 렌즈의 표면을 친수 코팅한 비교예 Ⅰ에 비하여, 고분자를 이용하여 렌즈의 표면을 친수 코팅한 실시예 Ⅰ-1 내지 Ⅰ-3에서 접촉각이 더 낮게 나타나는 것을 알 수 있다. 접촉각은 렌즈의 표면 상에 떨어진 물이 퍼지는 각도이므로, 각도가 낮을수록 친수 특성이 좋은 것을 의미한다. 이에 따라, 비교예 Ⅰ에 비하여 실시예 Ⅰ-1 내지 Ⅰ-3에서 친수 특성이 더 좋음을 알 수 있다. 또한, 실시예 Ⅰ-1 내지 Ⅰ-3에 따르면 내마모성 테스트 후에도 접촉각이 30˚이하로 나타나므로, 비교예에 비하여 친수 코팅층의 결합력이 높음을 알 수 있다.
본 발명의 실시예에 따르면, 친수성 작용기를 포함하는 고분자는 친수성 작용기를 가지는 고분자 탄화수소 유도체 또는 실리콘 유도체일 수 있으며, 70,000 내지 120,000의 분자량을 가지는 고분자를 포함할 수 있다. 친수 코팅층(124)을 구성하는 고분자의 분자량이 작을수록 내마모 특성은 향상되지만 친수 특성이 저하되고, 고분자의 분자량이 클수록 친수 특성이 향상되지만 내마모 특성이 저하되는 경향이 있다. 따라서, 본 발명의 실시예에서는 친수 코팅층(124)을 구성하는 고분자의 분자량을 70,000 내지 120,000으로 함으로써 친수 코팅층(124)상의 접촉각이 낮으면서도, 내마모성이 우수한 특성을 유지할 수 있다.
표 2는 비교예 및 실시예에 따라 표면에 친수 코팅층의 유무와 친수 코팅층을 형성하는 고분자의 분자량에 따른 렌즈의 접촉각, 투과율 및 내마모성 테스트를 수행하였다.

비교예 Ⅱ-1은 유리 표면에 친수 코팅층을 형성하지 않은 예이고, 비교예 Ⅱ-2는 글래스 기재를 활성화한 후 친수성 작용기인 히드록실기를 포함하는 모노머를 중합시켜 분자량이 40,000초과에서 70,000미만인 친수 코팅층을 형성한 결과이고, 비교예 Ⅱ-3은 글래스 기재를 활성화한 후 친수성 작용기인 히드록실기를 포함하는 모노머를 중합시켜 분자량이 120,000 초과에서 170,000미만인 친수 코팅층을 형성한 결과이고, 실시예 Ⅱ는 글래스 기재를 활성화한 후 친수성 작용기인 히드록실기를 포함하는 모노머를 중합시켜 분자량이 70,000 내지 120,000인 친수 코팅층을 형성한 결과이다.
도11은 비교예 Ⅱ-1 내지 Ⅱ-3과 실시예 Ⅱ에 따른 렌즈의 친수 특성을 비교하기 위한 도면이고, 도12는 비교예 Ⅱ-1 내지 Ⅱ-3과 실시예 Ⅱ에 따른 렌즈의 내마모 특성을 비교하기 위한 도면이고, 도13은 비교예 Ⅱ-2 내지 Ⅱ-3과 실시예 Ⅱ에 따른 렌즈의 SEM이다.
비교예 Ⅱ-1 내지 Ⅱ-3 및 실시예 Ⅱ를 비교하기 위하여, 비교예 Ⅱ-1 내지 Ⅱ-3 및 실시예 Ⅱ에 따라 제작된 렌즈의 표면 상에 물을 뿌린 후 접촉각을 접촉각 측정기(contact angle analyzer)를 이용하여 측정하였다. 그리고, 내마모성 테스트 후 접촉각을 비교하기 위하여, 비교예 Ⅱ-1 내지 Ⅱ-3 및 실시예 Ⅱ에 따라 제작된 렌즈의 표면 상에 100±5mm 길이의 캔버스천을 이용하여 4.9N의 힘으로 500회, 1000회, 1,500회동안 마모시킨 후 물을 뿌리고 접촉각을 접촉각 측정기를 이용하여 측정하였다.
비교예 Ⅱ-1을 실시예 Ⅱ와 비교하면 친수 코팅층을 형성하지 않은 경우 수분 접촉각이 50˚ 내지 60˚으로 측정된데 반하여 분자량이 70,000 내지 120,000인 친수 코팅층을 형성한 경우 수분 접촉각이 4˚ 내지 12˚로 측정되었다. 접촉각은 렌즈의 표면 상에 떨어진 물이 퍼지는 각도이므로, 각도가 낮을수록 친수 특성이 좋은 것을 의미한다.
또한, 비교예 Ⅱ-2를 실시예 Ⅱ와 비교하면 분자량이 40,000 초과에서 70,000미만인 경우 수분 접촉각이 7˚ 내지 15˚로 측정된데 반하여 분자량이 70,000 내지 120,000인 친수 코팅층을 형성한 경우 수분 접촉각이 4˚ 내지 12˚로 측정되었다.
비교예 Ⅱ-3의 경우 분자량이 120,000초과에서 170,000미만인 경우 수분 접촉각 특성이 실시예 Ⅱ와 비슷한 것으로 측정이 되었다. 그러나 비교예 Ⅱ-3의 경우는 내마모성 테스트 수행 결과 500회 마모 후 수분 접촉각이 12˚ 내지 19˚로 측정되었으며, 1000회 마모 후에는 수분 접촉각이 13˚ 내지 25˚로, 1,500회 마모 후에는 수분 접촉각이 19˚ 내지 28˚로 측정되었다. 즉, 비교예 Ⅱ-3의 경우 마모에 따라 수분 접촉각이 매우 커지는 것을 확인할 수 있으며, 이는 마모에 따라 렌즈의 친수 특성이 현저하게 낮아진다는 것을 의미한다.
이에 반하여 실시예 Ⅱ의 경우 내마모 테스트 수행 결과 500회 마모 후 수분 접촉각이 5˚ 내지 12˚로 측정되었으며, 1000회 마모 후에는 수분 접촉각이 7˚ 내지 14˚로, 1,500회 마모 후에는 수분 접촉각이 8˚ 내지 16˚로 측정되었다. 즉, 실시예 Ⅱ에서는 500회 마모 테스트 후에는 수분 접촉각이 거의 변화하지 않았음을 확인할 수 있으며, 1,500회 마모 후에도 수분 접촉각의 변화량이 5˚이하로 측정되었음을 확인할 수 있다. 이는 친수 코팅층을 형성하는 고분자의 분자량을 70,000 내지 120,000으로 함으로써 우수한 친수 특성과 내마모 특성을 확보할 수 있음을 나타내는 결과이다.
도 11을 참고하면 비교예 Ⅱ-1에 따라 친수 코팅층을 형성하지 않은 경우에 비하여 친수 코팅층을 형성한 비교예 Ⅱ-2 내지 Ⅱ-3과 실시예 Ⅱ의 경우 우수한 친수 특성으로 인하여 선명한 이미지를 촬영할 수 있었다.
그러나 도 12를 참고하면 1,500회 마모 후 비교예 Ⅱ-2 내지 비교예 Ⅱ-3의 경우 수분 접촉각 특성이 현저하게 저하되어 흐린 이미지가 촬영된 반면에, 실시예 Ⅱ의 경우 마모 후에도 우수한 접촉각 특성을 확보하여 선명한 이미지를 촬영할 수 있었다.
도 13을 참고하면, 비교예 Ⅱ-2 내지 Ⅱ-3과 실시예 Ⅱ에 따른 렌즈 표면의 형상 차이는 크게 나타나지 않았으며 고른 표면 형상을 나타내고 있음을 확인할 수 있었다.
본 발명의 실시예에 따르면, 친수성 작용기를 가지는 고분자를 포함하는 제1 친수 코팅층은 상에 무기 입자를 포함하는 제2 친수 코팅층이 더 형성될 수 있다.
도 14는 본 발명의 다른 실시예에 따른 렌즈의 단면도이다.
도 14를 참조하면, 렌즈(120)는 기재(122), 기재(122) 상에 형성되며 친수성 작용기(hydrophilic functional group)를 가지는 고분자를 포함하는 제1 친수 코팅층(124) 및 제1 친수 코팅층(124) 상에 형성되며, 무기 입자를 포함하는 제2 친수 코팅층(126)을 포함한다.
여기서, 기재(122)는 유리 또는 플라스틱일 수 있다.
그리고, 제1 친수 코팅층을 형성하는 제 1 친수코팅액에 포함되는 고분자의 친수성 작용기는 히드록실기(-OH), 아미노기(-NH3) 및 에폭시기로 이루어진 그룹에서 선택될 수 있다. 이와 같이, 제1 친수 코팅층(124)이 친수성 작용기를 가지는 고분자를 포함하면, 렌즈(120)의 표면이 습윤성(wettability) 또는 친수성(hydrophilicity)을 가지게 될 수 있다.
여기서, 기재(122) 및 제1 친수 코팅층(124)은 서로 공유결합 될 수 있다. 기재(122) 및 제1 친수 코팅층(124)은, 예를 들어 기재(122)의 산소(-O-)와 제1 친수 코팅층(124)의 규소(Si) 또는 탄소(C)에 의하여 공유결합 될 수 있다. 이를 위하여, 기재(122)가 글래스 기재인 경우, 기재(122) 표면을 플라즈마 처리, 할로겐화 알킬 처리 또는 산염기 처리하여 히드록실기(-OH)를 활성화시킬 수 있다. 이에 따라, 기재(122)와 제1 친수 코팅층(124) 간의 결합력이 강해지므로, 내구성 및 내마모성이 높아질 수 있다.
이때, 제1 친수 코팅층(124)의 두께는 1nm 내지 100nm, 바람직하게는 2nm 내지 10nm일 수 있다. 제1 친수 코팅층(124)의 두께가 1nm 미만이면, 제1 친수 코팅층(124)이 마모되기 쉬워지며, 친수 특성이 나빠질 수 있다. 이에 따라, 카메라 모듈의 신뢰성이 낮아질 수 있다. 반면, 제1 친수 코팅층(124)의 두께가 100nm를 초과하면, 제1 친수 코팅층(124)이 벗겨질 수 있으므로, 친수 특성이 나빠질 수 있다.
한편, 제2 친수 코팅층(126)에 포함되는 무기 입자는 Si를 포함하며, Sn, Ti, W, K, P 및 Zn으로 이루어진 그룹에서 선택된 적어도 하나를 더 포함할 수 있다. 여기서, Si는 친수 특성을 높일 수 있고, Sn는 내오염 특성을 가질 수 있으며, Ti는 셀프크리닝(Self-Cleaning) 기능을 가질 수 있다. 그리고, W는 강도를 강하게 할 수 있으며, K 및 P는 내습 특성을 강하게 할 수 있고, Zn은 대전방지 기능을 가질 수 있다. 이러한 무기 입자의 적어도 일부는 제1 친수 코팅층(124)의 고분자 사이에 끼어들 수 있다.
이와 같이, 친수성 작용기를 가지는 고분자를 포함하는 제1 친수 코팅층(124)이 기재(122) 상에 형성되는 경우, 제1 친수 코팅층(124)과 기재(122) 간의 결합력이 높으므로 내마모성이 우수하다. 그리고, 제1 친수 코팅층(124) 상에 Si와 같은 무기 입자를 포함하는 제2 친수 코팅층(126)이 형성되는 경우, 고온, 고습 환경에서도 친수 특성이 잘 유지되며, 제2 친수 코팅층(126)이 Sn, Ti, W, K, P 및 Zn으로 이루어진 그룹에서 선택된 적어도 하나를 더 포함하는 경우, 내오염 특성, 셀프크리닝 특성, 강도, 내습 특성 및 대전 방지 특성 등을 더 가질 수 있다.
도 15는 도 14에 따른 렌즈의 친수 코팅 방법을 나타낸다.
도 15를 참조하면, 기재(122)의 표면 상에 제1 친수 코팅층(124)을 형성한다. 제1 친수 코팅층(124)을 형성하는 방법은 도 4 등을 참조할 수 있다.
다음으로, 제1 친수 코팅층(124) 상에 무기 입자, 비이온계 계면활성제 및 용매를 포함하는 제2 친수 코팅액을 가해준다. 여기서, 무기 입자는 실리카 나노 파티클일 수 있다. 무기 입자는 Sn, Ti, W, K, P 및 Zn으로 이루어진 그룹에서 선택된 적어도 하나를 더 포함할 수도 있다.
이에 따라, 제1 친수 코팅층(124) 상에 제2 친수 코팅층(126)이 형성되며, 제2 친수 코팅층(126)의 무기 입자는 제1 친수 코팅층(124)의 고분자 사이에 끼어들 수 있다. 이러한 경우, 제1 친수 코팅층(124)의 친수 특성에 제2 친수 코팅층(126)의 친수 특성이 더해지므로, 초친수의 특성을 나타낼 수 있으며, 내오염 특성, 셀프크리닝 특성, 강도, 내습 특성 및 대전 방지 특성 등 등의 기능성을 더 가질 수 있다.
이하, 비교예 및 실시예에 따라 표면에 친수 코팅층이 형성된 렌즈의 접촉각, 투과율, 내마모성 테스트 후 접촉각, 고온고습 테스트 후 접촉각, 내열성 테스트 후 접촉각, 열충격 테스트 후 접촉각 및 내UV 테스트 후 접촉각을 측정하였다.
비교예 Ⅲ-1은 글래스 기재를 활성화한 후, 친수성 작용기인 히드록실기를 포함하는 고분자 5wt%, 비이온계 계면활성제 15wt% 및 물 80wt%를 포함하는 제1 친수 코팅액을 도포하여 친수 코팅층을 형성한 예이고, 비교예 Ⅲ-2는 실리콘 오일 5wt%, 비이온계 계면활성제 15wt% 및 물 80wt%를 포함하는 제2 친수 코팅액을 무기 나노 코팅 방법에 따라 도포하여 친수 코팅층을 형성한 예이며, 실시예 Ⅲ는 글래스 기재를 활성화한 후, 친수성 작용기인 히드록실기를 포함하는 실리콘계 고분자 2wt%, 비이온계 계면활성제 15wt% 및 물 83wt%를 포함하는 제1 친수 코팅액을 도포하여 제1 친수 코팅층을 형성한 후, 실리카 나노 파티클 2wt%, 비이온계 계면활성제 15wt% 및 물 83wt%를 포함하는 제2 친수 코팅액을 무기 나노 코팅 방법에 따라 도포하여 제2 친수 코팅층을 형성한 예를 나타낸다.
비교예 Ⅲ-1 내지 Ⅲ-2 및 실시예 Ⅲ를 비교하기 위하여, 비교예 Ⅲ-1 내지 Ⅲ-2 및 실시예 Ⅲ에 따라 제작된 렌즈의 표면 상에 물을 뿌린 후 접촉각을 측정하였다. 그리고, 내마모성 테스트 후 접촉각을 비교하기 위하여, 비교예 Ⅲ-1 내지 Ⅲ-2 및 실시예 Ⅲ에 따라 제작된 렌즈의 표면 상에 100±5mm 길이의 캔버스천을 이용하여 4.9N의 힘으로 1,500회동안 마모시킨 후 물을 뿌리고 접촉각을 측정하였다. 그리고, 내열성 테스트 후 접촉각을 비교하기 위하여, 비교예 Ⅲ-1 내지 Ⅲ-2 및 실시예 Ⅲ에 따라 제작된 렌즈를 -40℃와 80℃에서 1000cycle 동안 처리한 후 물을 뿌리고 접촉각을 측정하였다. 그리고, 열충격 테스트 후 접촉각을 비교하기 위하여, 80℃, -40℃ 및 95% 습도 하에서 50℃를 5cycle동안 처리한 후 물을 뿌리고, 접촉각을 측정하였다. 그리고, 고온고습 테스트 후 접촉각을 비교하기 위하여 80℃ 85% 습도 조건 하에서 7일동안 방치한 후 물을 뿌리고, 접촉각을 측정하였다. 그리고, 내UV 테스트 후 접촉각을 비교하기 위하여, ISO 105 조건으로 처리한 후 물을 뿌리고, 접촉각을 측정하였다.
표 3은 그 결과를 나타낸다.

표 3을 참조하면, 친수성 작용기를 가지는 고분자를 포함하는 친수 코팅액만으로 렌즈의 표면을 친수 코팅한 비교예 Ⅲ-1 및 무기 입자를 포함하는 친수 코팅액만으로 렌즈의 표면을 친수 코팅한 비교예 Ⅲ-2에 비하여, 친수성 작용기를 가지는 고분자를 포함하는 친수 코팅액으로 렌즈의 표면을 1차 친수 코팅한 후, 무기 입자를 포함하는 친수 코팅액으로 렌즈의 표면을 2차 친수 코팅하는 실시예Ⅲ에서 접촉각이 더 낮게 나타나는 것을 알 수 있다. 접촉각은 렌즈의 표면 상에 떨어진 물이 퍼지는 각도이므로, 각도가 낮을수록 친수 특성이 좋은 것을 의미한다. 이에 따라, 비교예 Ⅲ-1 내지 Ⅲ-2에 비하여 실시예 Ⅲ에서 친수 특성이 더 좋음을 알 수 있다.
뿐만 아니라, 실시예 Ⅲ에 따르면 내마모성 테스트 후 접촉각, 고온고습 테스트 후 접촉각, 내열성 테스트 후 접촉각, 열충격 테스트 후 접촉각 및 내UV 테스트 후 접촉각이 비교예 Ⅲ-1 내지 Ⅲ-2보다 낮게 나타나므로, 비교예 Ⅲ-1 내지 Ⅲ-2에 비하여 친수 코팅층의 결합력이 높고, 고온고습 및 UV 등에 강함을 알 수 있다.
한편, 본 발명의 한 실시예에 따르면, 친수 코팅층이 형성되는 기재는 식각된 표면을 가질 수도 있다.
도 16은 본 발명의 한 실시예에 따른 기재의 표면을 나타낸다. 도 1 내지 15와 동일한 내용은 중복되는 설명을 생략한다.
도 16을 참조하면, 기재(122)는 식각된 표면을 가질 수 있다. 기재(122)의 식각된 표면은 기재(122)를 플라즈마 처리함으로써 얻어질 수 있다. 기재(122)를 플라즈마 처리하면, 기재(122)의 표면이 도 16과 같이 불균일하게 식각되며, 기재(122) 표면의 히드록실기(-OH기)가 활성화될 수 있다.
기재(122)의 표면이 식각되고, 히드록실기가 활성화되는 경우, 친수 코팅액과의 결합력이 높아지므로, 렌즈의 친수 성능이 높아지고, 내마모성이 높아진다.
이에 따라, 렌즈(120)의 표면, 즉 친수 코팅층(124) 상에 물을 떨어뜨릴 경우 물이 퍼지는 각인 접촉각을 10˚ 이하, 바람직하게는 5˚ 이하로 유지할 수 있다. 렌즈(120)의 표면 상에서 물이 퍼지는 각이 10 ˚ 이하가 되면, 초친수 특성을 가지게 되므로, 비, 안개 등의 환경에서도 깨끗한 시야를 확보할 수 있다.
도 17은 본 발명의 한 실시예에 따라 친수 코팅층이 형성된 렌즈를 제조하는 방법을 나타내는 순서도이다.
도 17을 참조하면, 기재(122)의 표면을 세정한 후(S100), 플라즈마 처리를 한다(S110). 여기서, 기재(122)는, 예를 들어 유리 또는 플라스틱일 수 있다. 플라즈마 처리는 대기압 또는 진공 조건에서 수행될 수 있다. 예를 들어, 플라즈마 처리는 아르곤 및 산소 분위기, 진공 산소 분위기, 압축 공기 분위기 중 적어도 하나로 행해질 수 있다.
이에 따라, 기재(122)의 표면은 식각되며, 기재(122) 표면 상의 히드록실기(-OH)가 활성화된다.
그리고, 기재(122)의 표면을 친수 코팅액으로 코팅한다(S120). 이때, 코팅은 딥코팅(dip-coating), 스프레이 코팅(spray coating), 핸드 코팅(hand coating) 등의 기법으로 적용될 수 있다.
이때, 친수 코팅액은 친수성 작용기를 가지는 고분자를 포함할 수 있다. 여기서, 친수성 작용기는 히드록실기, 아미노기 및 에폭시기로 이루어진 그룹에서 선택될 수 있다. 이때, 친수 코팅액은 비이온계 계면활성제 및 용매 중 적어도 하나를 더 포함할 수 있다. 이와 같이, 친수 코팅층(124)이 친수성 작용기를 가지는 고분자를 포함하면, 렌즈(120)의 표면이 습윤성(wettability) 또는 친수성(hydrophilicity)을 가지게 될 수 있다. 본 발명의 다른 실시예에 따르면, 친수 코팅액은 유무기 산화물을 포함할 수도 있다. 여기서, 유무기 산화물은 Si, K, P, Na, Al, Li, Sn 및 Pt로 이루어진 그룹에서 선택된 원소를 포함하는 산화물일 수 있다. 예를 들어, 유무기 산화물은 실리콘 오일일 수 있다. 이때, 친수 코팅액은 비이온계 계면활성제 및 용매 중 적어도 하나를 더 포함할 수 있다. 그리고, 용매는 물 또는 알코올계 용매일 수 있다. 이와 같이, 친수 코팅층(124)이 무기 산화물을 포함하면, 렌즈의 표면의 친수성을 높일 수 있다.
이와 같이, 기재의 표면을 플라즈마 처리한 후, 친수 코팅액으로 코팅할 경우, 친수 코팅액과 기재의 표면 간의 결합력이 높으므로, 렌즈의 표면 상에 물방울이나 먼지가 잘 묻지 않고, 안개가 잘 생기지 않으며, 선명한 시야를 확보할 수 있다. 특히, 친수 코팅액이 무기산화물을 포함하는 경우에도 기재의 표면과 친수 코팅액 간의 접착력을 높일 수 있다.
이하, 유리 표면의 플라즈마 처리 유무에 따른 비교예 및 실시예로 표면에 친수 코팅층이 형성된 렌즈의 접촉각, 투과율 및 내마모성 테스트 후 접촉각을 측정하였다.
비교예 Ⅳ-1은 유리 표면에 친수 코팅층을 형성하지 않은 예이고, 비교예 Ⅳ-2는 유리 표면을 전처리 하지 않고 기재 상에 친수 코팅층을 형성한 예이다. 그리고, 실시예 Ⅳ-1은 유리 표면을 세정한 후, 600~900W의 플라즈마 장비를 이용하여 15~20l/min의 N2 가스를 100~200mm/sec 속도로 5mm 높이로 1회 플라즈마 처리한 후 스프레이 공정으로 친수 코팅층을 형성한 예이다. 실시예 Ⅳ-2는 유리 표면을 세정한 후, 900W의 플라즈마 장비를 이용하여 압축 공기를 100~200mm/sec의 속도로 5~15mm 높이에서 1~2회 플라즈마 처리한 후 스프레이 공정으로 친수 코팅층을 형성한 예이다. 실시예 Ⅳ-3은 유리 표면을 세정한 후, 300~400W의 플라즈마 장비를 이용하여 진공 챔버 안에서 플라즈마 처리한 후 스프레이 공정으로 친수 코팅층을 형성한 예이다. 실시예 Ⅳ-4는 유리 표면을 세정한 후, 400~500W의 플라즈마 장비를 이용하여 15~20l/min의 아르곤(Ar) 및 20~100ml/min의 산소(O2) 가스를 혼합하여 10~20mm/sec의 속도로 4~5mm 높이에서 1회 플라즈마 처리한 후 스프레이 공정으로 친수 코팅층을 형성한 예이다. 이때, 친수 코팅층을 형성하기 위한 친수 코팅액은 실리콘 오일 5wt%, 비이온계 계면활성제 15wt% 및 물 80wt%을 포함하였으며, 친수 코팅층의 두께는 3nm로 형성되었다.
비교예 Ⅳ-1 내지 Ⅳ-2 및 실시예 Ⅳ-1 내지 Ⅳ-4를 비교하기 위하여, 비교예 Ⅳ-1 내지 Ⅳ-2 및 실시예 Ⅳ-1 내지 Ⅳ-4에 따라 제작된 렌즈의 표면 상에 물을 뿌린 후 접촉각을 접촉각 측정기(contact angle analyzer)를 이용하여 측정하였다. 그리고, 내마모성 테스트 후 접촉각을 비교하기 위하여, 비교예 Ⅳ-1 내지 Ⅳ-2 및 실시예 Ⅳ-1 내지 Ⅳ-4에 따라 제작된 렌즈의 표면 상에 100±5mm 길이의 캔버스천을 이용하여 4.9N의 힘으로 1,500회동안 마모시킨 후 물을 뿌리고 접촉각을 접촉각 측정기를 이용하여 측정하였다. 그리고, 렌즈의 시야를 테스트하기 위하여, 비교예 Ⅳ-1 내지 Ⅳ-2 및 실시예 Ⅳ-1 내지 Ⅳ-4에 따라 제작된 렌즈의 표면을 70℃의 증류수에 5초 동안 노출 시킨 후 촬영을 하였다.
표 4는 비교예 Ⅳ-1 내지 Ⅳ-2 및 실시예 Ⅳ-1 내지 Ⅳ-4에 따라 제작된 렌즈의 접촉각, 투과율 및 내마모성 테스트 후 접촉각을 나타내고, 도 18 내지 19는 비교예 Ⅳ-1 내지 Ⅳ-2에 따라 제작된 렌즈로 촬영한 화면을 나타내며, 도 20 내지 23은 실시예 Ⅳ-1 내지 Ⅳ-4에 따라 제작된 렌즈로 촬영한 화면을 나타낸다.

표 4를 참조하면, 렌즈의 표면을 친수 코팅하지 않거나, 플라즈마 처리하지 않고 친수 코팅한 비교예 Ⅳ-1 내지 Ⅳ-2에 비하여 플라즈마 처리하고 친수 코팅한 실시예 Ⅳ-1 내지 Ⅳ-4에서 접촉각 및 내마모 테스트 후 접촉각이 더 높게 나타나는 것을 알 수 있다. 접촉각은 렌즈의 표면 상에 떨어진 물이 퍼지는 각도이므로, 각도가 낮을수록 친수 특성이 좋은 것을 의미한다. 이에 따라, 비교예 Ⅳ-1 내지 Ⅳ-2에 비하여 실시예 Ⅳ-1 내지 Ⅳ-4에서 친수 특성이 더 좋음을 알 수 있다. 또한, 압축공기로 플라즈마 처리를 한 실시예 Ⅳ-2, 진공 산소로 플라즈마 처리를 한 실시예 Ⅳ-3, 아르곤 및 산소 가스로 플라즈마 처리를 한 실시예 Ⅳ-4에서는 수분 접촉각이 10˚ 이하로 나타나고, 내마모테스트 후 수분 접촉각도 15 ˚ 이하로 나타남을 알 수 있다. 특히, 아르곤 및 산소 가스로 플라즈마 처리를 한 실시예 Ⅳ-4에서는 수분 접촉각이 5˚ 이하로 나타나고, 내마모테스트 후 수분 접촉각도 10˚ 이하로 나타남을 알 수 있다.
상기에서는 본 발명의 바람직한 실시예를 참조하여 설명하였지만, 해당 기술 분야의 숙련된 당업자는 하기의 특허 청구의 범위에 기재된 본 발명의 사상 및 영역으로부터 벗어나지 않는 범위 내에서 본 발명을 다양하게 수정 및 변경시킬 수 있음을 이해할 수 있을 것이다.
Claims (20)
- 기재, 그리고상기 기재 상에 형성되며, 친수성 작용기를 가지는 고분자를 포함하는 제1 친수 코팅층을 포함하는 렌즈.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 기재 및 상기 제1 친수 코팅층은 공유결합되는 렌즈.
- 제2항에 있어서,상기 기재 및 상기 제1 친수 코팅층은 상기 기재의 O와 상기 제1 친수 코팅층의 Si 또는 C에 의하여 공유결합되는 렌즈.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 친수성 작용기는 히드록실기, 아미노기 및 에폭시기로 이루어진 그룹에서 선택되는 렌즈.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 친수성 작용기를 가지는 고분자는 70,000 내지 120,000의 분자량을 가지는 렌즈.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 제1 친수 코팅층 상에 형성되며, 무기 입자를 포함하는 제2 친수 코팅층을 더 포함하는 렌즈.
- 제6항에 있어서,상기 제2 친수 코팅층의 무기 입자의 적어도 일부가 상기 제1 친수 코팅층의 고분자 사이에 존재하는 렌즈.
- 제7항에 있어서,상기 무기 입자는 Si를 포함하는 렌즈.
- 제8항에 있어서,상기 무기 입자는 Sn, Ti, W, K, P 및 Zn으로 이루어진 그룹에서 선택된 적어도 하나를 더 포함하는 렌즈.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 기재의 표면이 식각된 렌즈.
- 제10항에 있어서,상기 제1 친수 코팅층은 상기 기재의 표면 상에 활성화된 산소와 결합되는 렌즈.
- 제10항에 있어서,상기 기재의 표면은 플라즈마 처리에 의하여 식각되는 렌즈.
- 제12항에 있어서,상기 플라즈마 처리는 아르곤 및 산소 분위기, 진공 산소 분위기, 압축 공기 분위기 중 적어도 하나로 행해지는 렌즈.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 제1 친수 코팅층의 두께는 1nm 내지 100nm인 렌즈.
- 하우징,상기 하우징 내에 수용되는 렌즈, 그리고상기 하우징의 일단에 결합되며, 상기 렌즈를 지지하는 리테이너를 포함하고,상기 렌즈는기재, 그리고상기 기재 상에 형성되며, 친수성 작용기를 가지는 고분자를 포함하는 친수 코팅층을 포함하는 렌즈 어셈블리.
- 제15항에 있어서,상기 기재 및 상기 제1 친수 코팅층은 공유결합되는 렌즈 어셈블리.
- 제15항에 있어서,상기 친수성 작용기는 히드록실기, 아미노기 및 에폭시기로 이루어진 그룹에서 선택되는 렌즈 어셈블리.
- 제15항에 있어서,상기 친수성 작용기를 가지는 고분자는 70,000 내지 120,000의 분자량을 가지는 렌즈 어셈블리.
