Description
DISMANTABLE AND PORTABLE STOVE FOR SOLID FUEL
The invention relates to a dismantable and portable stove for solid fuel, mainly for temporary use, outdoors or indoors, for cooking or heating, both for household and for food industry, as well.
There are known solutions related to portable devices for cooking with solid fuel intended for outdoor use, such as the invention DE10016311 where a portable cooking device for camping consists of an upper section which is mounted as a cover over a lower section in which there is a solid fuel burner. Other known solutions are different types of portable grills, dismantable or movable on wheels, which bum solid fuel with open fire. For the preparation by boiling of food in a cauldron, various supports are used to suspend the cauldron over the open flame produced by combustion of solid fuel.
The disadvantage of the known solutions, is that fumes from burning solid fuel causes discomfort or even eye or respiratory irritations; another disadvantage is caused by the uneven heating of the heat transfer surfaces and higher heat losses occurring mostly outdoors, under the influence that the wind has upon open flame burning solid fuels; another disadvantage is the discomfort caused by the necessity of repeated bending over, caused by the usually low height of the cooking device or by lacking the possibility of adjusting the height at which the cooking surface stands; another disadvantage is the risk of fires on the ground covered with dry vegetation by scattered sparks during combustion of solid fuel with open fire; another disadvantage is the need to move the food being cooked during refuelling of the fireplace, to prevent or limit soot coating the surface of such foods; another disadvantage of known solutions is that the same cooking device can't be used both for the preparation of, successively or simultaneously, both the grilling of foodstuffs, and for supporting a pot above the heat source for boiling other foods.
The invention provides controlled release of smoke resulting from the combustion of solid fuels in a portable installation for cooking, efficient and uniform heating of a heat transfer surface, the possibility of adjusting the height at which the surface of the cooking stands, improvement of heat efficiency, elimination of risks associated with open fire burning of solid fuel.
The technical problem solved by the invention is to provide a solid fuel stove, dismantable and portable, which burns the solid fuel in a closed chamber, with ergonomical usability and which provides the possibility of preparing successively or simultaneously the food, both through grilling and boiling.
Dismantable and portable stove for solid fuel according to the invention is made of a body in the form of a right prism with an opening on one side, provided with horizontal top and bottom borders, on which a cover is attached, having two clamps on its bottom, arranged symmetrically to the ends of the cover, and in the middle area of the cover's top there is another clamp, said clamps being arranged to support the cover by hooking on horizontal borders, covering the opening of the stove's body; in the lower side, the cover is provided with draft holes that allow the air supply into the stove's body during the combustion of solid fuel, and each side of the cover is provided with a handle; inside the body of the stove there is a tray that covers almost completely the lower surface but can be removed effortlessly through the front opening; the rear wall of the body of the stove has a circular hole in the middle for the discharge of smoke, flanked symmetrically in the vertical plane of bails which are fixed by vertical sliding flange having at least one bend at the top in order to stop its sliding, the flange being provided with a hose that connects a chimney for smoke; on the corners of the stove's body there are tubes equipped with butterfly screws; during transportation of the stove, the tubes that are near the opening of the stove's body are securing some ends of a handle having variable length, composed of two elements, assembled by sliding a free arm of an element into the sleeve fixed on the arm of other element; while using the stove, the tubes allow the fitting and individual height adjustment of supportive legs; one of the bases of the stove's body has a circular hole large enough to allow the "sinking" of the bottom of a cauldron
whose periphery rests on the circumference of the hole; legs and chimney are respectively assembled by a number of segments dimensioned so that, after dismantle, they can be stored inside the body of the stove, together with the flange and with the tray that should be positioned within the body of the stove so as to obstruct the cauldron hole.
Dismantable and portable stove for solid fuel according to the invention, presents the following advantages:
- can be easily assembled and disassembled without tools or laborious instructions;
- might be carried by one person;
- occupies a relatively small volume compared to similar cooking tools;
- can be installed and used even on unlevelled surfaces or sloping ground;
- it is reliable because of the constructive simplicity;
- it can be used both outdoors and inside buildings equipped with chimneys;
- reduce solid fuel consumption required for outdoor cooking activities;
- constitutes an advantageous solution for temporary supplementing heating or cooking capacity of a household or a food business operator.
A preferred embodiment of a dismantable and portable stove for solid fuel according to the invention, is given as follows, in connection with the drawings Fig.1 ... Fig.9, which represent:
Fig.1 - Main body of a stove according to the invention, view from the front, having its upper part usable as a hob;
Fig.2 - Main body of a portable stove, view from behind, having its upper part usable as a cauldron holder;
Fig.3 - Cover of a portable stove, view from the inside;
Fig.4 - Tray for solid fuel;
Fig.5 - Flange for attaching a chimney for smoke;
Fig.6 - Adjustable handle of variable length for transporting a stove after dismantling; Fig.7 - Stove prepared for transportation;
Fig.8 - Stove assembled for use as a hob;
Fig.9 - Stove assembled for use as a cauldron holder.
Example 1. Dismantable and portable stove for solid fuel according to invention and representations in Fig.1 and Fig.2, consists of a body 1 which presents the overall shape of a cuboid with an opening 2 on its front surface area provided with some borders 3 in top and bottom, on which a cover 4 is built to catch on, as per Fig.3; inside the body 1 there is a tray 5 as per Fig.4 almost completely covering the bottom surface of the body 1, but which can be effortlessly removed through the opening 2; the rear wall of the body 1 has a circular hole 6 in the middle for smoke exhausting, flanked symmetrically in the vertical plane of bails 7 in which is fixed by vertical sliding a flange 8 according to Fig.5 having two bendings 19 at the top to stop the sliding in the bails 7, so that in alignment with the hole 6, the flange 8 is provided with a hose 20 which connects a chimney 21 for smoke exhausting. On the corners of the stove's body 1, on about half of its height, there are tubes 9 provided with butterfly screws which, during transportation as according to Fig.7, secure some ends 10 of a handle with variable length composed as per Fig.6 of two elements assembled by sliding a free arm 11 of an element in a sleeve 13 fixed on the arm 11 of the other element; while using the stove, according to Fig.8 and Fig.9, tubes 9 allow individual fitting and adjusting the height of supportive legs 12. One of the bases 14 of the body 1 has a circular hole large enough to allow the "sinking" of the bottom of a cauldron whose periphery rests on the circumference of the hole 14, according to Fig.9. A cover 4 has at its bottom two clamps 15 arranged symmetrically with respect to the ends of the cover 4 and the middle area of its top there is a clamp 16, these clamps being arranged so to support the cover 4 by hooking on borders 3, covering the opening 2 of the body 1. At the bottom, the cover 4 is provided with draft holes 18 which allows the air supply into the body 1 during the combustion of solid fuel, and each side of the cover 4 is provided with a handle 17. The legs 12 and chimney 21 are respectively assembled from a number of segments dimensioned so that, after removal, they can be stored inside the body 1, together with the flange 8 and the tray 5 which should be positioned within the body 1 so that to obstruct the hole 14.
The example described above is only one particular form of embodiment, which is not limited to this customization, so that wider applicability of the disclosed technical solutions should be obvious to a person skilled in the art.
