Abstract

[Problem] To enable information to be input into a small area in a compact terminal. [Solution] An input unit of an information device 10 is provided with a touch panel 14, a first allocation part, a second allocation part, a determination part, and a third allocation part. A region generation part generates a central region 30 and six peripheral regions 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, 36 to be arranged around the central region. First, initial character strings are allocated to the respective regions. The second allocation part allocates the constituent characters of the initial character string in a selected region as candidate character strings. The determination part determines that there is no need to unfold the candidate character string in the central region or a candidate character string for which there is only one word which beings with the candidate character string. When the candidate character string in the selected region needs to be unfolded, the third allocation part extracts one or more partial words beginning with the candidate character string, and allocates the candidate character string and the partial words as new candidate character strings. When the candidate character string in the selected region does not need to be unfolded, the candidate character string is output.

FIG. 6 is a top view showing an example of the display state of the touch panel after tapping the peripheral area twice in the present embodiment. FIG. 7 is a top view illustrating an example of a display state of the touch panel after the peripheral area is tapped three times in the present embodiment. FIG. 8 is a top view showing an example of the display state of the touch panel after tapping the peripheral area four times in the present embodiment. FIG. 9 is a top view showing an example of the display state of the touch panel after tapping the central area after tapping the peripheral area five times in the present embodiment.
まず、単語帳記憶部41に1文字以上の文字からなる複数の単語を記憶させる(S1)。ここで、単語とは、意味を持つ文字の配列だけに限定されるものではなく、入力の単位として設定するものすべてを含む。たとえば、1つの文字、記号も単語に含まれる。また、領域生成部42が、中心領域30とその中心領域30の周囲に配位数個の周辺領域31,32,33,34,35,36を仮想的に生成する(S2)。 First, a plurality of words composed of one or more characters are stored in the word book storage unit 41 (S1). Here, the word is not limited to an array of characters having meaning, but includes all words set as input units. For example, a single character or symbol is also included in the word. In addition, the region generation unit 42 virtually generates the peripheral region 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, and 36 around the central region 30 and the central region 30 (S2).
Next, the first assigning unit 43 assigns an initial character string composed of one or more characters to the central region 30 and the peripheral regions 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, and 36 (S3). For example, one character “” (space), which is a character set so as to be input most easily, is assigned to the central area. Each of the peripheral regions 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, and 36 is assigned a first character string composed of one or more coordination numbers plus one or less, that is, one or more and seven or less characters. The assigned character or character string includes a central region character storage unit 50 corresponding to the central region 30 and peripheral region character storage units 51 and 52 corresponding to the respective peripheral regions 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, and 36. , 53, 54, 55, 56.
その後、判定部47は、初期文字列が1文字である領域、すなわちここでは中心領域30に割り当てられた文字列を展開不要と判定する。それぞれの領域に割り当てられた文字列は、第1表示部61によって、展開不要か否かで色を変えるなどによって区別してそれぞれの領域30,31,32,33,34,35,36に表示する(S4)。ここでは、展開不要と判定された文字列が表示された領域を二重線で示した。 Thereafter, the determination unit 47 determines that the character string assigned to the region where the initial character string is one character, that is, the central region 30 here is not required to be expanded. 第2割当部44がそれぞれの周辺領域31,32,33,34,35,36に候補文字列が割り当てられた(S7)ら、判定部47は、それぞれの周辺領域31,32,33,34,35,36に割り当てられた候補文字列から始まる単語帳に記憶された単語が1つでありかつその候補文字列がその単語に一致する場合に、その候補文字列が展開不要と判定する(S8)。 When the second assigning unit 44 assigns candidate character strings to the respective peripheral regions 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, and 36 (S7), the determination unit 47 determines the respective peripheral regions 31, 32, 33, and 34. , 35, and 36, when there is one word stored in the word book starting from the candidate character string and the candidate character string matches the word, it is determined that the candidate character string does not need to be expanded ( S8).
When it is determined whether or not the candidate character strings of the respective peripheral areas 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, and 36 need to be expanded, the second display unit 62 displays the central area 30 and the peripheral areas 31, 32, 33, and 34. , 35, and 36 are displayed (S9). When the sixth peripheral area 36 is tapped in the state of FIG. 4, the display state is as shown in FIG. At this time, whether or not the displayed candidate character strings need not be expanded by changing the colors of the central region 30 and the peripheral regions 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, and 36 depending on whether or not the candidate character strings need to be expanded. It has come to understand. Here, a region where a character string determined to be unexpanded is displayed by a double line.
次に、候補文字が割り当てられた後の動作について説明する。候補文字が表示されたら、再び、タッチパネル14がタップされるまで待機する(S10)。タッチパネル14がタップされると、選択受付部60は、タッチパネル14のどの位置がタップされたかを判定する。 Next, the operation after candidate characters are assigned will be described. If a candidate character is displayed, it will wait until the touch panel 14 is tapped again (S10). When the touch panel 14 is tapped, the selection receiving unit 60 determines which position on the touch panel 14 is tapped.
(S11)。 When any one of the central region 30 and the peripheral regions 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, and 36 is tapped and a region to which a candidate character string that is not required to be expanded is selected, the selection receiving unit 60 The third allocation unit 45 is notified of this and the position of the tapped region. At this time, the characters assigned to the central region 30 and the peripheral regions 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, and 36 are candidate character strings. The third assigning unit 45, which has been notified that the center region 30 and the surrounding regions 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, and 36 have been tapped, determines whether or not the candidate character string assigned to the selected region needs to be expanded. (S11).
Candidate character strings are assigned to the central region 30 and the peripheral regions 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, and 36, and any one of the central region 30 and the peripheral regions 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, and 36 is present. If the candidate character string assigned to the selected area is not required to be expanded when tapped, the third assigning unit 45 stores the candidate character string itself and the candidate character string in the word book. One or more parts longer than the candidate character string are extracted from the head of the word, and each is assigned as a new candidate character string to one of the central region 30 and the peripheral regions 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, and 36. (S12). The candidate character string itself assigned to the selected area is preferably assigned to the central area 30.
中心領域30および周辺領域31,32,33,34,35,36のいずれかがタップされたとき、選択受付部60は、選択された領域に割り当てられた候補文字列が展開不要か否かを判別する(S11)。展開不要の候補文字列が割り当てられた領域が選択された場合、選択受付部60は、その旨、および、選択された領域の位置を出力部46に伝達する。出力部46は、選択された領域に割り当てられた候補文字列を出力する(S13)。 When any of the central region 30 and the peripheral regions 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, and 36 is tapped, the selection receiving unit 60 determines whether or not the candidate character string assigned to the selected region need not be expanded. It discriminate | determines (S11). When an area to which a candidate character string that is not required to be expanded is selected, the selection receiving unit 60 transmits the fact and the position of the selected area to the output unit 46. The output unit 46 outputs the candidate character string assigned to the selected area (S13).
In step S12, the third assigning unit 45 assigns candidate characters to the central region 30 and the respective peripheral regions 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, and 36. The candidate character at this time is selected based on, for example, the degree of appearance in a sentence of a word starting with a temporary input character and considering the arrangement of the initial character string. For example, when the candidate character string is “y” (one character), a new candidate in which “a”, “e”, “i”, “o”, “r”, and “u” are added to the candidate character string A character string is assigned to each of the peripheral areas 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, and 36.
When candidate character strings are assigned to the central region 30 and the peripheral regions 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, and 36 (S12), the process returns to step S8, and the determination unit 47 determines whether each candidate character string is not expanded. (S8), the second display unit 62 displays the candidate character strings in the central region 30 and the respective peripheral regions 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, and 36 (S9). For example, when the sixth peripheral area 36 is first tapped in the state of FIG. 4 and then the first peripheral area 31 is tapped in the state of FIG. 5, the display state is as shown in FIG.
このようにして、展開不要と判定された候補文字列が割り当てられた領域がタップ(選択)されるまで繰り返される。 In this way, the process is repeated until the area to which the candidate character string determined to be unneeded for expansion is tapped (selected).
For example, when the sixth peripheral area 36 is first tapped in the state of FIG. 4, the candidate character string assigned to the central area 30 is “u” and the peripheral areas 31, 32, 33, 34, 35 as shown in FIG. 5. , 36 are “y”, “z”, “−”, “v”, “w”, and “x”. After that, when the first peripheral area 31 is tapped in the state of FIG. 5, the candidate character string assigned to the central area 30 becomes “y” and is displayed in the central area 30 as shown in FIG. ”,“ E ”,“ i ”,“ o ”,“ r ”, and new candidate character strings“ ya ”,“ ye ”,“ yi ”,“ yo ”,“ yr ”added with“ u ”. , And “yu” are assigned to the peripheral areas 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, and 36 and displayed.
図6の状態で、第4の周辺領域34をタップすると、図7のように、選択された領域に割り当てられた候補文字列「yo」が中心領域30に表示される。また、これに対応して、たとえば「d」、「f」、「l」、「n」、「r」、および、「u」が候補文字に追加された新たな候補文字列「yod」、「yof」、「yol」、「yon」、「yor」、および、「you」が周辺領域31,32,33,34,35,36に割り当てられて表示される。 6, when the fourth peripheral area 34 is tapped, the candidate character string “yo” assigned to the selected area is displayed in the central area 30 as shown in FIG. 7. Correspondingly, a new candidate character string “yod” in which “d”, “f”, “l”, “n”, “r”, and “u” are added to the candidate characters, for example, “Yof”, “yol”, “yon”, “yor”, and “you” are assigned to the peripheral areas 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, and 36 and displayed.
図7の状態で、第6の周辺領域36をタップすると、図8のように、選択された領域に割り当てられた候補文字列「you」が中心領域30に表示される。また、これに対応して、たとえば「a」、「g」、「l」、「n」、「r」、および、「v」が候補文字に追加された新たな「youa」、「youg」、「youl」、「youn」、「your」、および、「youv」が周辺領域31,32,33,34,35,36に割り当てられて表示される。 7, when the sixth peripheral area 36 is tapped, the candidate character string “you” assigned to the selected area is displayed in the central area 30 as shown in FIG. 8. Correspondingly, for example, “a”, “g”, “l”, “n”, “r”, and “v” are added to the candidate characters and new “youa” and “youg” are added. , “Youl”, “youn”, “you”, and “youv” are assigned to the peripheral areas 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, and 36 and displayed.
展開不要と判定された候補文字列が割り当てられた領域がタップ(選択)されるとその領域に割り当てられた候補文字列が出力される。出力された文字列は、アプリケーション部に伝達され、アプリケーションの入力となる。候補文字列が出力されると、工程S1に戻り、新たな文字入力が可能となる。 When a region to which a candidate character string determined not to be expanded is tapped (selected), the candidate character string assigned to that region is output. The output character string is transmitted to the application unit and becomes an input of the application. If a candidate character string is output, it will return to process S1 and a new character input will be attained.
図8の状態で、中心領域30をタップすると、図9のように、入力文字列がアプリケーション部80出力されて表示窓20に表示される。また、工程S2およびS3が行われることにより、中心領域30および周辺領域31,32,33,34,35,36の表示状態は、図9に示すように図4と同様になる。 8, when the center area 30 is tapped, the input character string is output to the application unit 80 and displayed on the display window 20 as shown in FIG. 9. Further, by performing steps S2 and S3, the display state of the central region 30 and the peripheral regions 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, and 36 is the same as that in FIG. 4 as shown in FIG.
As described above, in the present embodiment, since the developed character or character string is also displayed in the central region 30 and the surrounding peripheral regions 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, and 36, the central region and the peripheral regions are displayed. Characters can be input by simply tapping. That is, it is possible to input characters even in a narrow area compared to flick input or the like that requires an area that taps further outside the character display area arranged on the outermost periphery. In addition, characters within coordination number × (coordination number + 1) can be input with a minimum of two taps and a maximum of three taps. For this reason, for example, the average number of taps required for input is smaller than a method of assigning a plurality of characters to buttons arranged in a square lattice and determining an input character based on the number of taps. In addition, when the candidate character is selected based on the appearance frequency of the word in the second and subsequent characters, the average number of taps can be further reduced.
周辺領域の数を6とすると、それぞれの周辺領域に7つの文字が第1文字列として割り当てられる。このため、7×6=42個の文字の入力が可能となる。アルファベットの数は26文字であるため、記号を含めて、よく使う文字を簡便に入力することができる。 Suppose that the number of peripheral areas is 6, seven characters are assigned to each peripheral area as the first character string. Therefore, 7 × 6 = 42 characters can be input. Since the number of alphabets is 26, frequently used characters including symbols can be easily input.
本実施の形態では、アルファベットを入力することとしていたが、数字、ひらがな、カタカナ、ギリシャ文字など、有限個の文字あるいは概念の入力をすることもできる。配位数×(配位数+1)以上の文字を入力する場合には、別途、切替ボタンをタッチパネル上、あるいは、ボタン17あるいは竜頭18に設けて、文字セットを切り替えることによって対応できる。さらに、入力された文字列をかな漢字変換手段に伝達して漢字などを入力することもできる。 In this embodiment, the alphabet is input, but a limited number of characters or concepts such as numbers, hiragana, katakana, and Greek letters can also be input. In the case of inputting characters of coordination number × (coordination number + 1) or more, it can be dealt with by separately providing a switching button on the touch panel, button 17 or crown 18 and switching the character set. Furthermore, the input character string can be transmitted to the kana-kanji conversion means to input kanji and the like.
[第2の実施の形態]
 図10は、本発明に係る入力装置の第2の実施の形態を用いた小型端末のタッチパネルの上面図である。
[Second Embodiment]
FIG. 10 is a top view of a touch panel of a small terminal using the second embodiment of the input device according to the present invention.
本実施の形態は、第1の実施の形態と、周辺領域31,32,33,34,35,36の形状が異なる。中心領域30は第1の実施の形態と同じであるが、周辺領域31,32,33,34,35,36は、中心領域30の外周に接する扇形である。 This embodiment is different from the first embodiment in the shapes of the peripheral regions 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, and 36. The central region 30 is the same as that of the first embodiment, but the peripheral regions 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, and 36 have a sector shape that contacts the outer periphery of the central region 30.
本実施の形態でも、展開された文字あるいは文字列も中心領域30およびその周囲の周辺領域31,32,33,34,35,36に表示されるため、中心領域およびその周辺領域のみのタップによって文字入力ができる。その結果、狭隘な領域での情報入力が可能になる。 Also in the present embodiment, since the expanded character or character string is also displayed in the central region 30 and the surrounding peripheral regions 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, and 36, only the central region and the peripheral region are tapped. You can enter characters. As a result, it is possible to input information in a narrow area.
[第3の実施の形態]
 図11は、本発明に係る入力装置の第3の実施の形態を用いた小型端末のタッチパネルの上面図である。
[Third Embodiment]
FIG. 11 is a top view of a touch panel of a small terminal using the third embodiment of the input device according to the present invention.
本実施の形態は、第1の実施の形態と、中心領域30および周辺領域31,32,33,34,35,36の形状(図1参照)が異なる。本実施の形態では、第1の実施の形態における中心領域30および周辺領域31,32,33,34,35,36の代わりに、9つの正方形の領域がタップ領域24に正方格子状に配列して形成される。中心部の領域を除く8つのそれぞれの領域には、それぞれ9つの文字が割り当てられている。 This embodiment is different from the first embodiment in the shapes of the central region 30 and the peripheral regions 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, and 36 (see FIG. 1). In the present embodiment, nine square regions are arranged in a square lattice pattern in the tap region 24 instead of the central region 30 and the peripheral regions 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, 36 in the first embodiment. Formed. Nine characters are assigned to each of the eight areas excluding the central area.
[第4の実施の形態]
 図12は、本発明に係る入力装置の第4の実施の形態において周辺領域を1回タップした後のタッチパネルの表示状態の例を示す上面図である。
[Fourth Embodiment]
FIG. 12 is a top view showing an example of a display state of the touch panel after the peripheral area is tapped once in the fourth embodiment of the input device according to the present invention.
本実施の形態では、初期文字列が割り当てられた状態(図4参照)でいずれかの周辺領域31,32,33,34,35,36がタップされたときの挙動が異なる。本実施の形態において、単語帳記憶部41(図2参照)の単語帳には、入力可能な文字が1文字ずつ単語として記憶されており、2文字以上の単語は記憶されていない。 In this embodiment, the behavior when any of the peripheral areas 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, and 36 is tapped in the state where the initial character string is assigned (see FIG. 4) is different. In the present embodiment, in the word book of the word book storage unit 41 (see FIG. 2), inputable characters are stored as words one by one, and words of two or more characters are not stored.
本実施の形態において、初期文字列が中心領域30および周辺領域31,32,33,34,35,36に割り当てられた状態で、周辺領域31,32,33,34,35,36がタップされると、全ての領域30,31,32,33,34,35,36が展開不要となる。したがって、この状態で、いずれかの領域30,31,32,33,34,35,36がタップされると、タップされた領域に割り当てられた文字が入力される。 In the present embodiment, the peripheral regions 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, and 36 are tapped with the initial character string assigned to the central region 30 and the peripheral regions 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, and 36. Then, all the areas 30, 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, and 36 are not required to be expanded. Accordingly, in this state, when any of the areas 30, 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, and 36 is tapped, a character assigned to the tapped area is input.
本実施の形態では、候補文字列が領域に割り当てられた後、どの領域が選択されても、展開不要ではないと判定されることはないため、第3割当部45(図4参照)は不要である。 In the present embodiment, after a candidate character string is assigned to an area, it is not determined that expansion is not required no matter which area is selected, so the third assignment unit 45 (see FIG. 4) is unnecessary. It is.
本実施の形態でも、展開された文字あるいは文字列も中心領域30およびその周囲の周辺領域31,32,33,34,35,36に表示されるため、中心領域およびその周辺領域のみのタップによって文字入力ができる。その結果、狭隘な領域での情報入力が可能になる。また、初期文字列が割り当てられた状態でタップされると、全ての領域に割り当てられた文字は展開不要とされるため、必ず2回のタップで1文字を入力することができる。 Also in the present embodiment, since the expanded character or character string is also displayed in the central region 30 and the surrounding peripheral regions 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, and 36, only the central region and the peripheral region are tapped. You can enter characters. As a result, it is possible to input information in a narrow area. Further, when tapped with the initial character string assigned, characters assigned to all areas are not required to be expanded, so that one character can always be input with two taps.
The functions of this embodiment can be realized with another configuration. For example, the input device includes a touch panel 14, an area generation unit 42, a first allocation unit 43, a selection reception unit 60, a second allocation unit 44, and an output unit. The touch panel 14, the area generation unit 42, the first allocation unit 43, the selection reception unit 60, and the second allocation unit 44 are the same as those in the first embodiment. The output unit outputs the candidate character string when the candidate character string is assigned to the regions 30, 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, and 36, and the selection receiving unit 60 receives the selection of the region. To do. With such a configuration, when the peripheral areas 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, and 36 to which the initial input character string is assigned are tapped, the areas 30, 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, and 36 are next. Character input is always made by tapping.
