Abstract
A water treatment system having a first water connection (9) to receive water from a water source, a valve (13) connected to the first water connection (9), the valve (13) being also connected to a second water connection (17) and a third water connection (15) and being switchable such that water either flows from the first water connection (9) to the second water connection (17) or from the first water connection (9) to the third water connection (15), a filtration unit (27) being connected to the second water connection (15). The filtration unit filters received water and provides filtered water of a predetermined filtered level. There is a water reservoir (21) to receive water via the third water connection (17) and to store the received water and to let sediment being formed by a sedimentation process on a bottom of the water reservoir (21) from any impurities present in the received water, the water reservoir (21) being connected to the filtration unit (27) via a fourth water connection (31) to let water remaining after that sedimentation process flow to the filtration unit (27), the filtration unit (27) filtering the water and rendering filtered water.
