STATEMENT u/A. 19(1) Rule 46
Following statement explains the details of amendments in the filed claims.
Reason for Amendment: Amendment has been made in view of the observation made by the ISA in Re Item V of its WO with regard to inventive step.
Amendment:
Claim 1 is retained as such.
Pending claims 2 to 4 have been replaced by amended claims 2 to 4.
Claim 5 is deleted.
Explanation:
The inventor has successfully designed and developed a portable apparatus for calibration of quantity of fuel of diesel fuel pump of any type. Inventive step lies in replacing the flow sensors or graduated glass tubes being used in existing systems, with load cell sensors in the present apparatus. Output of the load cell sensors is converted into volume using analog signal using D/A converter. An Electronic Analyzer (9) is so programmed that it analyses the data coming from the D/A converter and can give output in multiple forms such as display on a computer or on a mobile using Bluetooth technology.
To achieve this, considerable effort has been put in developing software. Printed form of output is also possible. The inventor has achieved portability of the apparatus by making it a compact and plug in type of an apparatus which can be supplied as additional accessory for use in existing test bench machines or as 19
an integrated module with new test bench machines. He has used electronics and Computer software extensively to develop software applications which can work on handy mobile sets or computers commonly used by all these days.
The manner in which the parts have been integrated and functionalized to achieve the desired technical result herein described is based on exhaustive research carried out by inventor.
It is not possible to combine Dl, D2 and D3 to result in the present invention these documents disclose use of either pressure sensors or flow sensors or only transmission of information from a retail fuel dispenser system. Load cells and further conversion of load cell output into volume is nowhere disclosed. No mention is there for use of containers fitted on load cells and also connected to drain pipes as in the present invention.
The present invention is versatile and the number of containers fitted on load cells can be increased or decreased according to the need of fuel pump to be calibrated. From above, it is clear that the apparatus of present invention is completely different from prior art documents Dl, D2 and D3. The inventive step is clearly elaborated above in view of the cited documents. Effect of Amendment:
With this explanation and amendment of making claims 2 to 4 dependent on Claim 1, the inventive feature of the present invention has been duly highlighted. It now appears that the same qualify the criterion of inventive step. 20
Hence the present application is worthy of grant in view of clearly defined Novelty, Inventive Step and Industrial application.
