Description
本发明涉及液晶显示器技术领域,尤其涉及一种液晶面板及其驱动方法。
液晶显示器,或称LCD(Liquid Crystal Display),为平面超薄的显示设备,它由一定数量的彩色或黑白像素组成,放置于光源或者反射板前方。液晶显示器功耗很低,并且具有高画质、体积小、重量轻的特点,因此倍受大家青睐,成为显示器的主流。液晶显示器已广泛使用于各种电子产品中,例如,具显示屏幕的计算机设备、行动电话、或数字相框等,而广视角技术为目前液晶显示器的发展重点之一。然而,当侧看或斜视的视角过大时,广视角液晶显示器常会发生色偏(color shift)现象。
对于广视角液晶显示器发生色偏现象的问题,目前业界中出现了一种采用2D1G技术进行改善。所谓2D1G技术,就是指在液晶面板中,将每一像素单元(pixel)分为面积不等的主像素区域(Main pixel)和次像素区域(Sub pixel),同一像素单元中的主像素区域和次像素区域连接到不同的数据线(Data line)和相同扫描线(Gate line)。通过对主像素区域和次像素区域输入不同的数据信号(不同的灰阶值),产生不同的显示亮度和斜视亮度,达到降低侧看或斜视时产生的色偏问题。但是,对于每一个像素单元,划分为主像素区域和次像素区域之后,其输入数据信号的数据线的数量为原来的两倍,这会大大减小了液晶面板的开口率,影响穿透率,降低了液晶面板的显示质量。
发明内容
有鉴于此,本发明目的是提供一种液晶面板及其驱动方法,通过改变液晶面板的驱动方法,在传统的RGB三像素液晶面板中模拟2D1G面板的显示,达到降低侧看或斜视时产生的色偏问题。
为了实现上述目的,本发明采用了如下的技术方案:
一种液晶面板的驱动方法,其中,包括:
提供一液晶面板,所述液晶面板包括M行×N列的像素单元,每一像素单元至少包括蓝色子像素;
将所述液晶面板划分为多个显示单元,每一显示单元包括两个像素单元;
对于每一显示单元需要的蓝色子像素的灰阶值B,将灰阶值B分为一较高灰阶值BH和一较低灰阶值BL分别提供给所述两个像素单元;其中,较高灰阶值BH与较低灰阶值BL的组合,使得该显示单元的蓝色子像素在斜视角度下的亮度曲线趋近于预定的Gamma(γ)曲线,其中,γ=1.8~2.4;
其中,所述两个像素单元为位于相邻两行且相邻两列的两个像素单元;
或者是,所述两个像素单元为位于同一行且相互间隔一列的两个像素单元;
或者是,所述两个像素单元为位于同一行且相邻两列的两个像素单元,并且对于其中接收较低灰阶值BL的像素单元,其同一列且相邻行的像素单元接收另一显示单元的较高灰阶值BH;
或者是,所述两个像素单元为位于同一列且相邻两行的两个像素单元,并且对于其中接收较低灰阶值BL的像素单元,其同一行且相邻列的像素单元接收另一显示单元的较高灰阶值BH。
其中,将灰阶值B划分为较高灰阶值BH和较低灰阶值BL组合的步骤具体包括:
S101、获取所述液晶面板的蓝色子像素在正视角度α下的灰阶B0与实际亮度LvαB0的关系曲线B0-LvαB0;
S102、获取所述液晶面板的蓝色子像素在斜视角度β下的灰阶B0与实际亮度LvβB0的关系曲线B0-LvβB0;
S103、根据公式:和分别计算获取所述液晶面板的蓝色子像素在正视角度α和斜视角度β下的灰阶B与理论亮度LvB的关系曲线B-LvαB和B-LvβB;其中,Lvα(255)和Lvβ(255)分别从关系曲线B0-LvαB0和B0-LvβB0查找取得;
S104、对于所述显示单元需要的蓝色子像素灰阶值B,输入到两个像素单元
的较高灰阶值BH和较低灰阶值BL满足以下关系式:

S105、对于所述显示单元需要的蓝色子像素的每一个灰阶值B,根据步骤S104,都获得相应的一个灰阶值BH与BL的组合,重新制定该液晶面板关于蓝色子像素的显示查找表LUT。
其中,所述正视角度α为0°,所述斜视角度β为30~80°。
其中,所述正视角度α为0°,所述斜视角度β为60°。
其中,所述像素单元还包括红色子像素和绿色子像素,在重新设定每一显示单元的蓝色子像素的数据参数时,该显示单元的红色子像素和绿色子像素的数据信号保持不变。

本发明的另一方面是提供一种液晶面板,包括栅控制器、源控制器以及显示区域,所述显示区域包括M行×N列的像素单元,每一像素单元至少包括蓝色子像素;其中,所述显示被划分为多个显示单元,每一显示单元包括两个像素单元,所述栅控制器用于向所述像素单元提供扫描信号,所述源控制器用于向所述像素单元提供数据信号;其中,所述液晶面板的驱动方法采用如上所述的驱动方法。
本发明提供的液晶面板及其驱动方法,传统的RGB三像素液晶面板中通过改变其驱动方法模拟2D1G面板的显示,达到降低侧看或斜视时产生的色偏问题,同时又不较小液晶面板的开口率,保障了液晶面板的显示品质。

为了使本发明的目的、技术方案以及优点更加清楚明白,下面将结合附图用实施例对本发明做进一步说明。
参阅图1和图2,传统的液晶面板主要包括具有多个(M行×N列)像素单元5a、5b的显示区域1、栅控制器2和源控制器3,所述栅控制器2通过多条扫描线向所述像素单元5a、5b提供扫描信号,所述源控制器3通过多条数据线向所述像素单元5a、5b提供数据信号。其中,每一像素单元5a、5b包括红色子像素51、绿色子像素52以及蓝色子像素53。
本实施例的目的是通过改变液晶面板的驱动方法,在如上传统的RGB三像素液晶面板中模拟2D1G面板的显示,达到降低侧看或斜视时产生的色偏问题。
为此,如图1和图3所示的,首先将液晶面板的显示区域1划分为多个显示单元4,每一显示单元4包括第一像素单元5a和第二像素单元5b。在驱动该液晶面板时,对于显示单元4需要的蓝色子像素53的灰阶值B,向第一像素单元5a中的蓝色子像素53提供较高灰阶值BH,向所述第二像素单元5b中的蓝色子像素53提供较低灰阶值BL;其中,灰阶值BH与BL的组合,使得该显示单元的蓝色子像素53在斜视角度下的亮度曲线趋近于预定的Gamma(γ)曲线,其中,Gamma(γ)曲线根据实际液晶面板的需要确定,γ的取值可以为1.8~2.4。图3为向显示单元4输入数据信号的示例性图示,如图3所示的,在显示单元4的两个像素单元5a、5b中,在重新设定的蓝色子像素53的数据参数BH与BL
时,红色子像素51和绿色子像素52的数据信号R和G保持不变。
其中,所述正视角度α为0°,所述斜视角度β的范围是30~80°。
其中,结合附图1-3的示意图,将灰阶值B划分为灰阶值BH与BL组合的步骤具体包括:
S101、获取所述液晶面板的蓝色子像素53在正视角度α下的灰阶B0与实际亮度LvαB0的关系曲线B0-LvαB0。
S102、获取所述液晶面板的蓝色子像素53在斜视角度β下的灰阶B0与实际亮度LvβB0的关系曲线B0-LvβB0。
S103、根据公式:和分别计算获取所述液晶面板的蓝色子像素在正视角度α和斜视角度β下的灰阶B与理论亮度LvB的关系曲线B-LvαB和B-LvβB;其中,Lvα(255)和Lvβ(255)分别从关系曲线B0-LvαB0和B0-LvβB0查找取得。
S104、对于所述显示单元4需要的蓝色子像素53灰阶值B,输入到第一像素单元5a中的蓝色子像素53的灰阶值BH与输入到第二像素单元5b中的蓝色子像素53的灰阶值BL满足以下关系式:

其中,y取最小值,LvαB和LvβB的取值从关系曲线B-LvαB和B-LvβB查找取得,Lvα(BH)和Lvα(BL)从关系曲线B0-LvαB0查找取得,Lvβ(BH)和Lvβ(BL)从关系曲线B0-LvβB0查找取得。
S105、对于所述显示单元4需要的蓝色子像素53的每一个灰阶值B,根据步骤S104,都获得相应的一个灰阶值BH与BL的组合,重新制定该液晶面板关于蓝色子像素53的显示查找表(LOOK UP TABLE,LUT)。
下面以预定的Gamma(γ)曲线中γ=2.2,正视角度α=0°,斜视角度β=60°为具体的例子,对将灰阶值B划分为灰阶值BH与BL组合的具体过程进行详细说明。
首先,分别获取所述液晶面板的蓝色子像素53在正视角度α=0°下的灰阶B0与实际亮度Lv0B0的关系曲线B0-Lv0B0和在斜视角度β=60°下的灰阶B0与实际亮度Lv60B0的关系曲线B0-Lv60B0。如图4所示的关系曲线图。其中该液晶面板的灰阶包括256个灰阶,从0~255。
然后,根据公式:和分别计算获取液晶面板的蓝色子像素53在正视角度α=0°和斜视角度β=60°下的灰阶B与理论亮度LvB的关系曲线B-Lv0B和B-Lv60B。其中,在前述公式中,正视角度α=0°时Lv0(255)取前述曲线B0-Lv0B0中B0=255对应的亮度值,在斜视角度β=60°时Lv60(255)取前述曲线B0-Lv60B0中B0=255对应的亮度值。
进一步地,若显示单元4需要的蓝色子像素53的灰阶值B(即原来需要输入到第一像素单元5a和第二像素单元5b中的蓝色子像素53的灰阶值均为B),作为替换灰阶值B,输入到第一像素单元5a中的蓝色子像素53的灰阶值BH与输入到第二像素单元5b中的蓝色子像素53的灰阶值BL满足以下关系式:
Δ1=Lv0B+Lv0B-Lv0(BH)-Lv0(BL);
Δ2=Lv60B+Lv60B-Lv60(BH)-Lv60(BL);
y=Δ12+Δ22;
其中,当确定需要的蓝色子像素53的灰阶值B时,从理论亮度曲线B-Lv0B和B-Lv60B查找取得Lv0B和Lv60B的取值,此时,从实际亮度曲线B0-Lv0B0查找出Lv0(BH)和Lv0(BL),从实际亮度曲线B0-Lv60B0查找Lv60(BH)和Lv60(BL),使得上述关系式中y的取值最小,得到相应的灰阶值BH与BL。
最后,对于所述显示单元4需要的蓝色子像素53的每一个灰阶值B,根据前述的计算方式都获得相应的一个BH与BL的组合,重新制定该液晶面板关于蓝色子像素53的显示查找表(LOOK UP TABLE,LUT)。在驱动液晶面板时,若显示一幅画面时,若显示单元4需要的蓝色子像素53的灰阶值B,则从该显示查找表中确定向第一像素单元5a中的蓝色子像素53提供灰阶值BH,向所述第二像素单元5b中的蓝色子像素53提供灰阶值BL。
对于一个显示单元4包括第一像素单元5a和第二像素单元5b的排布方式,若第一像素单元5a和第二像素单元5b为同一行且相邻两列的像素单元时,由于第一像素单元5a和第二像素单元5b的灰阶值由同一个灰阶值B划分形成,
相差较大,带来水平方向分辨率的差异,当较低灰阶值BL极低时,会导致分辨率损失。另外,从整个显示区域1来看,具有第一像素单元5a的一整列像素单元均接收各自显示单元的较高灰阶值BH,具有第二像素单元5b的一整列像素单元均接收较各自显示单元的较低灰阶值BL,这进一步提高分辨率损失的可能性。
为了改善以上提到的缺陷,对于一个显示单元4包括第一像素单元5a和第二像素单元5b的排布方式,本实施例提供了以下几种具体的实施方式:
(1)、将第一像素单元5a和第二像素单元5b排布于相邻两行且相邻两列的像素单元中。具体地,如图5所示,第一像素单元5a为第m行第n列的像素单元,第二像素单元为5b为第m+1行第n+1列的像素单元,该两个像素单元组成了一个显示单元;而第m+1行第n列以及第m行第n+1列的两个像素单元组成另一个显示单元。第m行第n列的像素单元中蓝色子像素输入较高灰阶值BH1,第m+1行第n+1列的像素单元中蓝色子像素输入较低灰阶值BL1;另一显示单元中,第m+1行第n列的中蓝色子像素输入较高灰阶值BH2,第m行第n+1列的像素单元输入较低灰阶值BL2;其中,m=1、3、5、……、M,n=1、3、5、……、N。
按照此方式排布第一像素单元5a和第二像素单元5b,由同一个灰阶值B划分形成较高灰阶值BH和较低灰阶值BL(BH1和BL1,或者BH2和BL2),其所输入到的蓝色子像素不属于同一行的相邻的两个像素单元,减小了水平方向分辨率的差异。虽然较高灰阶值BH1和较低灰阶值BL2分别输入到同一行的相邻的两个像素单元,但是BH1和BL2不是由同一个灰阶值B划分形成,其差值很大的几率很小。
(2)、将第一像素单元5a和第二像素单元5b排布于同一行且相互间隔一列的像素单元中。具体地,如图6所示,第一像素单元5a为第m行第n列的像素单元,第二像素单元为5b为第m行第n+2列的像素单元,该两个像素单元组成一个显示单元,而第m行第n+1列以及第m行第n+3列的两个像素单元组成另一个显示单元。第m行第n列的像素单元输入较高灰阶值BH1,第m行第n+2列的像素单元输入较低灰阶值BL1;另一显示单元中,第m行第n+1列的像素单元输入较高灰阶值BH2,第m行第n+3列的像素单元输入较低灰阶值BL2;其中,m=1、2、3、……、M,n=1、4、9、……、N。
按照此方式排布第一像素单元5a和第二像素单元5b,由同一个灰阶值B划分形成较高灰阶值BH和较低灰阶值BL(BH1和BL1,或者BH2和BL2),其所输
入到的蓝色子像素不属于同一行的相邻的两个像素单元,减小了水平方向分辨率的差异。
(3)、将第一像素单元5a和第二像素单元5b排布于同一行且相邻两列的两个像素单元,并且对于其中接收较低灰阶值BL的像素单元,其同一列且相邻行的像素单元接收另一显示单元的较高灰阶值BH,其中接收较高灰阶值BH的像素单元,其同一列且相邻行的像素单元接收另一显示单元的较低灰阶值BL。具体地,如图7所示,第一像素单元5a为第m行第n列的像素单元,第二像素单元5b为第m行第n+1列的像素单元,该两个像素单元组成一个显示单元,而第m+1行第n列以及第m+1行第n+1列的两个像素单元组成另一个显示单元。其中,第m行第n列的像素单元输入较高灰阶值BH1,第m行第n+1列的像素单元输入较低灰阶值BL1;另一个显示单元中,第m+1行第n列的像素单元输入较高灰阶值BH2,第m+1行第n+1列的像素单元输入较低灰阶值BL2;其中,m=1、3、5、……、M,n=1、3、5、……、N。
按照此方式排布第一像素单元5a和第二像素单元5b,虽然由同一个灰阶值B划分形成较高灰阶值BH和较低灰阶值BL(BH1和BL1,或者BH2和BL2),其所输入到的蓝色子像素属于同一行的相邻的两个像素单元。但是在相邻两行上,较高灰阶值BH1和较低灰阶值BL2互补,较高灰阶值BH2和较低灰阶值BL1互补,并且,从整体上看,不论是行方向还是列方向,较高灰阶值BH和较低灰阶值BL呈交错间隔的排布,从整体上减少了分辨率损失。
(4)、将第一像素单元5a和第二像素单元5b排布于同一列且相邻两行的两个像素单元,并且对于其中接收较低灰阶值BL的像素单元,其同一行且相邻列的像素单元接收另一显示单元的较高灰阶值BH,其中接收较高灰阶值BH的像素单元,其同一行且相邻列的像素单元接收另一显示单元的较低灰阶值BL。具体地,如图8所示,第一像素单元5a为第m行第n列的像素单元,第二像素单元5b为第m+1行第n列的像素单元,该两个像素单元组成一个显示单元,而第m行第n+1列以及第m+1行第n+1列的两个像素单元组成另一个显示单元。其中,第m行第n列的像素单元输入较高灰阶值BH1,第m+1行第n列的像素单元输入较低灰阶值BL1;另一个显示单元中,第m行第n+1列的像素单元输入较低灰阶值BL2,第m+1行第n+1列的像素单元输入较高灰阶值BH2;其中,m=1、3、5、……、M,n=1、3、5、……、N。
按照此方式排布第一像素单元5a和第二像素单元5b,由同一个灰阶值B划
分形成较高灰阶值BH和较低灰阶值BL(BH1和BL1,或者BH2和BL2),其所输入到的蓝色子像素不属于同一行的相邻的两个像素单元(由于人眼分辨的情况中,在显示上同一列两相邻行的灰阶值相差较大时,不会出现如同一行相邻列相差较大时分辨率损失的问题)。并且,从整体上看,不论是行方向还是列方向,较高灰阶值BH和较低灰阶值BL呈交错间隔的排布,从整体上减少了分辨率损失。
如上实施例提供的液晶面板及其驱动方法,首先将传统的液晶面板划分显示单元,每一显示单元包括两个像素单元,对应显示单元需要的蓝色子像素的灰阶B,向其中一个像素单元中的蓝色子像素提供较高灰阶值BH,向另一个像素单元中的蓝色子像素提供较低灰阶值BL,达到2D1G面板的显示效果,降低侧看或斜视时产生的色偏问题,同时又不较小液晶面板的开口率,保障了液晶面板的显示品质。并且,对于组成每一显示单元的两个像素单元,本发明实施例中还提供了多种空间排布,通过对两个像素单元的排布设置,较小了由于水平方向分辨率的差异导致分辨率损失的问题。
显然,本发明的保护范围并不局限于上诉的具体实施方式,本领域的技术人员可以对发明进行各种改动和变型而不脱离本发明的精神和范围。这样,倘若本发明的这些修改和变型属于本发明权利要求及其等同技术的范围之内,则本发明也意图包含这些改动和变型在内。

- 一种液晶面板的驱动方法,其中,包括:提供一液晶面板,所述液晶面板包括M行×N列的像素单元,每一像素单元至少包括蓝色子像素;将所述液晶面板划分为多个显示单元,每一显示单元包括两个像素单元;对于每一显示单元需要的蓝色子像素的灰阶值B,将灰阶值B分为一较高灰阶值BH和一较低灰阶值BL分别提供给所述两个像素单元;其中,较高灰阶值BH与较低灰阶值BL的组合,使得该显示单元的蓝色子像素在斜视角度下的亮度曲线趋近于预定的Gamma(γ)曲线,其中,γ=1.8~2.4;其中,所述两个像素单元为位于相邻两行且相邻两列的两个像素单元;或者是,所述两个像素单元为位于同一行且相互间隔一列的两个像素单元;或者是,所述两个像素单元为位于同一行且相邻两列的两个像素单元,并且对于其中接收较低灰阶值BL的像素单元,其同一列且相邻行的像素单元接收另一显示单元的较高灰阶值BH;或者是,所述两个像素单元为位于同一列且相邻两行的两个像素单元,并且对于其中接收较低灰阶值BL的像素单元,其同一行且相邻列的像素单元接收另一显示单元的较高灰阶值BH。

- 一种液晶面板,包括栅控制器、源控制器以及显示区域,所述显示区域包括M行×N列的像素单元,每一像素单元至少包括蓝色子像素,其中,所述显示区域被划分为多个显示单元,每一显示单元包括两个像素单元;所述栅控制器用于向所述像素单元提供扫描信号;所述源控制器用于向所述像素单元提供数据信号;其中,对于每一显示单元需要的蓝色子像素的灰阶值B,将灰阶值B分为一较高灰阶值BH和一较低灰阶值BL分别提供给所述两个像素单元;其中,较高灰阶值BH与较低灰阶值BL 的组合,使得该显示单元的蓝色子像素在斜视角度下的亮度曲线趋近于预定的Gamma(γ)曲线,其中,γ=1.8~2.4;其中,所述两个像素单元为位于相邻两行且相邻两列的两个像素单元;或者是,所述两个像素单元为位于同一行且相互间隔一列的两个像素单元;或者是,所述两个像素单元为位于同一行且相邻两列的两个像素单元,并且对于其中接收较低灰阶值BL的像素单元,其同一列且相邻行的像素单元接收另一显示单元的较高灰阶值BH;或者是,所述两个像素单元为位于同一列且相邻两行的两个像素单元,并且对于其中接收较低灰阶值BL的像素单元,其同一行且相邻列的像素单元接收另一显示单元的较高灰阶值BH。
- 根据权利要求7所述的液晶面板,其中,将灰阶值B划分为较高灰阶值BH和较低灰阶值BL组合的步骤具体包括:S101、获取所述液晶面板的蓝色子像素在正视角度α下的灰阶B0与实际亮度LvαB0的关系曲线B0-LvαB0;S102、获取所述液晶面板的蓝色子像素在斜视角度β下的灰阶B0与实际亮度LvβB0的关系曲线B0-LvβB0;S103、根据公式:和分别计算获取所述液晶面板的蓝色子像素在正视角度α和斜视角度β下的灰阶B与理论亮度LvB的关系曲线B-LvαB和B-LvβB;其中,Lvα(255)和Lvβ(255)分别从关系曲线B0-LvαB0和B0-LvβB0查找取得;S104、对于所述显示单元需要的蓝色子像素灰阶值B,输入到两个像素单元的较高灰阶值BH和较低灰阶值BL满足以下关系式:Δ1=LvαB+LvαB-Lvα(BH)-Lvα(BL);Δ2=LvβB+LvβB-Lvβ(BH)-Lvβ(BL);y=Δ12+Δ22;其中,y取最小值,LvαB和LvβB的取值从关系曲线B-LvαB和B-LvβB查找取得,Lvα(BH)和Lvα(BL)从关系曲线B0-LvαB0查找取得,Lvβ(BH)和Lvβ(BL)从 关系曲线B0-LvβB0查找取得;S105、对于所述显示单元需要的蓝色子像素的每一个灰阶值B,根据步骤S104,都获得相应的一个灰阶值BH与BL的组合,重新制定该液晶面板关于蓝色子像素的显示查找表LUT。
- 根据权利要求8所述的液晶面板,其中,所述正视角度α为0°,所述斜视角度β为30~80°。
- 根据权利要求8所述的液晶面板,其中,所述正视角度α为0°,所述斜视角度β为60°。
- 根据权利要求8所述的液晶面板,其中,所述像素单元还包括红色子像素和绿色子像素,在重新设定每一显示单元的蓝色子像素的数据信号时,该显示单元的红色子像素和绿色子像素的数据信号保持不变。
- 根据权利要求8任一所述的液晶面板,其中,所述预定的Gamma(γ)曲线中,γ=2.2。
