Abstract

実物のカーボンファイバーシートと同等以上の質感が得られる装飾シートを提供する。装飾シート10は、レンチキュラレンズシート11と、画像形成層13とを備える。レンチキュラレンズシート11は、複数のシリンドリカルレンズ15により構成される。画像形成層13は、シリンドリカルレンズ15に対応する単位領域内に、第1及び第2の細分化領域S1,S2と、中間領域SMとを有する。装飾シート10の観察方向を変えることで、第1の絵柄、グラデーション絵柄、第2の絵柄が順に観察される。第1の絵柄と第2の絵柄とは、互いの濃度が反転している。第1及び第2の絵柄、グラデーション絵柄は、帯状に細分化された状態で、第1の細分化領域S1、第2の細分化領域S2、中間領域SMにそれぞれ画像形成されている。

Description

装飾シート
 本発明は、自動車等の内装品や外装品に貼り付けられる装飾シートに関する。
 自動車等の内装品や外装品に、カーボンファイバーシートを貼り付けて装飾を施すことが行われている(例えば、特許文献1参照)。しかし、カーボンファイバーシートは、カーボン繊維を綾織り等の編み方で編むことによってシート状としたものであり、非常に高価である。このため、カーボンファイバーシートの代替品としてカーボン調シートが広く用いられている。このカーボン調シートは、透明樹脂シートの一方の面に、カーボン繊維のパターンを模した絵柄を印刷したものである(例えば、特許文献2参照)。
 一方、透明樹脂シートの一方の面に画像形成層を設けたシート体としては、多数のシリンドリカルレンズが並列配置されたレンチキュラレンズシートを用いたものが知られている。例えば、特許文献3記載のシート体では、帯状の細分化領域を、各シリンドリカルレンズに対応する単位領域内に多数並べて画像形成層を形成している。それにより、ユーザーがシリンドリカルレンズを介して画像形成層を観察する際に、観察する角度を変えることで視認される画像が切り替わる。

 カーボンファイバーシートは、カーボン繊維が編まれたものであり、微細な立体構造を有するため、観察方向を変えることにより模様の明暗が変化し、立体感が生じる。これに対して、カーボン調シートは、透明樹脂シートに絵柄を印刷したものであるため、観察方向を変えても模様の明暗は変化せず、立体感は生じない。このため、カーボン調シートでは、カーボン繊維の質感が得られず、装飾性に劣るため、カーボンファイバーシートの廉価版として位置づけられている。
 そこで、カーボンファイバーシートと同等以上の質感が得られる装飾シートを、レンチキュラレンズシートを用いて作成することが望まれている。
 本発明は、実物のカーボンファイバーシートと同等以上の質感が得られる装飾シートを提供することを目的とする。
 本発明の装飾シートは、レンチキュラレンズシートと、画像形成層とを備える。レンチキュラレンズシートは、凸形状を有するシリンドリカルレンズが複数配列され、凸形状とは反対側に平坦面を有する。画像形成層は、平坦面側に設けられ、互いに濃度が反転した第1の絵柄と第2の絵柄とを有する画像形成層であって、レンチキュラレンズシートを介して観察する観察方向を変えることによって第1の絵柄と第2の絵柄とが切り替わる。画像形成層は、シリンドリカルレンズに対応する単位領域内に、帯状に細分化された第1及び第2の絵柄を有する第1及び第2の細分化領域と、第1及び第2の細分化領域の間に形成された帯状の中間領域とを有する。
 画像形成層は、シリンドリカルレンズの配列方向に濃度が変化したグラデーション絵柄を有する中間領域を有することが好ましい。
 第1及び第2の絵柄と、グラデーション絵柄とは、複数の形状を組み合わせたパターンにより構成された絵柄であることが好ましい。また、形状は、四角形であることが好ましい。パターンは、綾織パターンであることが好ましい。
 シリンドリカルレンズの配列方向において、中間領域の長さが、第1の細分化領域の長さ及び第2の細分化領域の長さよりも短いことが好ましい。
 レンチキュラレンズシートと画像形成層とは、一体に湾曲可能であることが好ましい。自動車の内装品に貼り付けられることが好ましい。
 本発明によれば、レンチキュラレンズシートを介して画像形成層を観察する観察方向を変えることで第1の絵柄と第2の絵柄とが切り替わって観察できる。また、本発明の装飾シートは、シリンドリカルレンズに対応する単位領域内に、帯状に細分化された第1の絵柄を有する第1の細分化領域と、帯状に細分化された第2の絵柄を有する第2の細分化領域と、を有し、更に第1及び第2の細分化領域の間に帯状の中間領域とを有するので、実物のカーボンファイバーシートと同等以上の質感が得られる。

 [第1実施形態]
 図1に示すように、装飾シート10は、レンチキュラレンズシート11と、画像形成層13が形成された画像形成媒体12とを備える。画像形成媒体12は、透明な樹脂シートである。
 レンチキュラレンズシート11は、複数のシリンドリカルレンズ15により構成されている。各シリンドリカルレンズ15は、部分円柱形の凸形状15Aを有し、この凸形状15Aとは反対側は平坦状である。各シリンドリカルレンズ15は、Y方向に延伸しており、隣接するシリンドリカルレンズ15と平行に配列されている。すなわち、シリンドリカルレンズ15は、Y方向と直交するX方向に一定のピッチで配置されている。レンチキュラレンズシート11は、凸形状15Aとは反対側に平坦面11Aを有する。
 図2に示すように、装飾シート10は、レンチキュラレンズシート11の凸形状15Aを有する側から画像形成層13が観察される。シリンドリカルレンズ15の凸形状15Aは、その焦点が画像形成層13に位置するように曲率が設定されている。
 レンチキュラレンズシート11の材料としては、PET(ポリエチレンテレフタレート)、PP(ポリプロピレン)、PETG(グリコール変性ポリエチレンテレフタレート)、ポリカーボネート、アクリル、アクリレート系樹脂などの透明な樹脂材料が用いられる。
 画像形成層13は、レンチキュラレンズシート11の平坦面11A側に設けられている。画像形成層13は、透明な樹脂シートである画像形成媒体12に、画像を印刷または転写することにより形成されている。画像形成層13の材料は、画像形成媒体12に密着可能な材料であれば特に限定されず、公知の塗料等が用いられる。
 また、レンチキュラレンズシート11と画像形成媒体12とは、接着又は粘着などの方法を用いて接合されている。レンチキュラレンズシート11と画像形成媒体12とを接合させる接合剤(接着剤や粘着剤)としては、レンチキュラレンズシート11を介して画像形成層13が観察可能な透明性を有する材料が用いられる。また、レンチキュラレンズシート11と画像形成媒体12が一体となった装飾シートは、可撓性を有することが好ましい。
 画像形成層13は、第1及び第2の細分化領域S1,S2と、中間領域SMとにより構成されている。第1及び第2の細分化領域S1,S2と中間領域SMとは、シリンドリカルレンズ15に対応する単位領域U(図4及び図5参照)内に1組ずつ設けられており、Y方向に延伸している。第1の細分化領域S1は単位領域U内の一方側領域(例えば、左側領域)に配置され、第2の細分化領域S2は単位領域U内の他方側領域(例えば、右側領域)に配置されている。中間領域SMは、第1の細分化領域S1と第2の細分化領域S2との間の中央領域に配置されている。第1及び第2の細分化領域S1,S2は、シリンドリカルレンズ15の光軸に対して対称となる位置に形成されている。
 装飾シート10を、画像形成層13に対して直交する直交方向(図2に示すDV)から右側に傾斜した右側傾斜方向(図2に示すDA)から画像形成層13を観察する場合、第1の細分化領域S1のみが観察される。また、装飾シート10を、直交方向DVから左側に傾斜した左側傾斜方向(図2に示すDB)から画像形成層13を観察する場合、第2の細分化領域S2のみが観察される。そして、装飾シート10を、直交方向DVから画像形成層13を観察する場合、中間領域SMのみが観察される。
 第1の細分化領域S1には、図3(A)に示す第1の絵柄P1が帯状に細分化され画像形成されている。第2の細分化領域S2には、図3(C)に示す第2の絵柄P2が帯状に細分化され画像形成されている。中間領域SMには、図3(B)に示すグラデーション絵柄PGが帯状に細分化され画像形成されている。具体的には、第1の絵柄P1、第2の絵柄P2、及びグラデーション絵柄PGは、図4に示すように、帯状に細分化された状態で、第1の細分化領域S1、第2の細分化領域S2、及び中間領域SMにそれぞれ画像形成されている。
 したがって、装飾シート10は、レンチキュラレンズシート11を介して画像形成層を観察する観察方向を、右側傾斜方向DA、直交方向DV、左側傾斜方向DBと順にX方向に変化させることによって、第1の絵柄P1、グラデーション絵柄PG、第2の絵柄P2が順に観察される。
 第1及び第2の絵柄P1、P2は、異なる複数の形状を組み合わせたパターンにより形成されている。なお、ここでは、方向を回転させることにより一致する形状同士も異なる形状という。
 本実施形態では、第1及び第2の絵柄P1、P2は、カーボン繊維を綾織した場合に生じる綾織パターンを模したものである。綾織とは、カーボン繊維の縦方向の列と横方向の列とを、それぞれ2列飛びで交差させる織り方である。綾織パターンでは、図3に示すように、縦長の(すなわち、Y方向の辺長が長い)第1長方形R1がX方向或いはY方向に対して斜め45°の方向に並んだ第1パターンと、横長の(すなわち、X方向の辺長が長い)第2長方形R2が斜め45°の方向に並んだ第2パターンとが交互に繰り返される。すなわち、第1及び第2の絵柄P1、P2は、第1長方形R1と第2長方形R2とによる構成された第1、第2パターンの組み合わせである。
 グラデーション絵柄PGも同様に、第1長方形R1が斜め45°の方向に並んだ第1パターンと、第2長方形R2が斜め45°の方向に並んだ第2パターンとが交互に繰り返されたものである。
 画像形成層13は、所定の階調幅の濃度(“階調値”ともいう)で画像形成されている。本実施形態では、画像形成層13に形成される画像は、無彩色であり、いわゆるグレースケールで表現されている。第1及び第2の絵柄P1、P2は、階調幅の最小階調値(最小濃度)と最大階調値(最大濃度)とを用いて描かれている。具体的には、第1の絵柄P1では、第1長方形R1が最小濃度で均一に塗り潰されており、第2長方形R2が最大濃度で均一に塗り潰されている。一方、第2の絵柄P2では、第1長方形R1が最大濃度で均一に塗り潰されており、第2長方形R2が最小濃度で均一に塗り潰されている。
 第1及び第2の絵柄P1、P2のそれぞれにおいて、第1長方形R1と第2長方形R2との濃度を互いに反転させている。これは、実際のカーボン繊維の綾織パターンでは、縦方向(Y方向)のカーボン繊維(第1長方形R1に対応)と横方向(X方向)のカーボン繊維(第2長方形R2に対応)による光の反射成分が異なり、濃度が異なるように観察されることを模したためである。
 また、第1の絵柄P1と第2の絵柄P2とにおいて濃度を反転させている。具体的には、第1の絵柄P1で最小濃度である第1長方形R1は、第2の絵柄P2では最大濃度となっており、第1の絵柄P1で最大濃度である第2長方形R2は、第2の絵柄P2では最小濃度となっている。これは、実際のカーボン繊維の綾織パターンでは、観察方向によって濃度が反転し異なる絵柄に観察されることを模したためである。
 また、グラデーション絵柄PGは、最小階調値と最大階調値との間の階調値(中間濃度)で描かれている。具体的には、グラデーション絵柄PGでは、第1長方形R1内と第2長方形R2内とでそれぞれ、濃度をX方向に段階的に変化させている。もし、第1長方形R1と第2長方形R2とを1つの濃度で塗り潰すと、すべて均一な濃度となり、綾織パターンの形状は現れない。第1長方形R1と第2長方形R2の濃度をX方向に段階的に変化させることにより、グラデーション絵柄PGを、最小濃度と最大濃度との間の中間濃度とするとともに、綾織パターンを描くことができる。
 図5は、画像形成層13の第1長方形R1の一部の領域を示している。第1及び第2の絵柄P1、P2の関係と同様に、第1の細分化領域S1と第2の細分化領域S2とは、互いの濃度が反転している。符号U1~U5は、X方向に並ぶ5つの単位領域Uを表している。
 第1の細分化領域、中間領域、及び第2の細分化領域の長さ及びこれらの関係が限定されるものではないが、本実施形態では、X方向における第1の細分化領域S1、中間領域SM、及び第2の細分化領域S2の長さをそれぞれW1、WM、W2とした場合、WM<W1、WM<W2、W1=W2の関係を満たすようにしている。具体的に、本実施形態では、「W1:WM:W2=5:2:5」の関係としている。
 図6(A)~(E)は、単位領域U1~U5の階調値(濃度)を示すグラフである。同図では、最大階調値(最大濃度)をGH、最小階調値(最小濃度)をGLとしている。中間領域SMの濃度GMは、最大濃度GHと最小濃度GLとの間であり、かつ、シリンドリカルレンズ15の配列方向(X方向)に沿って段階的に変化している。
 以上の構成により、装飾シート10に対する観察方向をX方向に変化させると、観察される画像が第1の絵柄P1から第2の絵柄P2に切り替わる際、または、観察される画像が第2の絵柄P2から第1の絵柄P1に切り替わる際に、第1の絵柄P1と第2の絵柄P2との間の中間濃度により綾織パターンが描かれたグラデーション絵柄PGが観察される。
 以上のように、本発明の装飾シート10では、観察方向を変えると、観察される画像が、互いに濃度が反転した第1の絵柄P1と第2の絵柄P2との間で切り替わり、模様の明暗が変化するように見えるので、立体感が得られる。これにより、装飾シート10は、実物のカーボンファイバーシートと同等以上の質感が得られる。
 特に、実物のカーボンファイバーシートでは、観察方向を変えた場合に、カーボン繊維の光反射成分が変化することにより模様の明暗が変化するので、光量が少ない環境下では、明暗の変化が生じにくいが、本発明の装飾シート10では、光量が少ない環境下においても、レンチキュラレンズシート11の機能により、第1及び第2の絵柄P1、P2が切り替わり、明暗の変化が明確に現れる。
 また、本発明の装飾シート10では、中間領域SMの長さWMを調整することにより、実物のカーボンファイバーシートの場合の半分以下の視線移動(観察方向の変化)により、第1及び第2の絵柄P1、P2の切り替わりを生じさせることができる。
 また、装飾シート10は、帯状に細分化された第1及び第2の絵柄P1、P2に対応する第1及び第2の細分化領域S1,S2の間に中間領域SMが形成されているため、観察者の観察方向が連続的に変化したときに、第1の絵柄P1と第2の絵柄P2との両方が同時に観察されることが防止され、画像間の分離が確実に行われる。もし、画像間の分離が十分ではない場合には、画像が切り替わる際に、薄い画像がゴーストとして観察されることがあるが、本発明の装飾シート10では、このようなゴーストが観察されないことを可能にする。
 また、装飾シート10では、中間領域SMの濃度を、第1及び第2の細分化領域S1,S2に用いられる最大濃度と最小濃度との間の中間濃度としているので、観察される画像が第1の絵柄P1と第2の絵柄P2との間で切り替わる際に、中間濃度の画像が観察されるので、画像が滑らかに切り替わる。これにより、装飾シート10は、カーボンファイバーシートにより近い質感が得られる。
 また、グラデーション絵柄PGの第1長方形R1内と第2長方形R2内においてそれぞれ、中間領域SMの濃度をX方向に段階的に変化させているので、中間濃度により綾織パターンが描かれる。これにより、観察される画像が第1の絵柄P1と第2の絵柄P2との間で切り替わる間においても、中間濃度により表現された綾織パターンが観察され、装飾シート10は、カーボンファイバーシートにさらに近く自然な質感が得られる。
 さらに、X方向における中間領域SMの長さWMが、第1の細分化領域S1の長さW1、及び第2の細分化領域S2の長さW2よりも短いため、グラデーション絵柄PGが観察される角度範囲は、直交方向DVの近傍のみである。このため、観察者の観察方向が連続的に変化したときに、グラデーション絵柄PGが観察される時間が短いので、第1の絵柄P1と第2の絵柄P2とは、自然でかつ短時間に切り替わる。
 なお、上記第1実施形態では、第1の絵柄P1、第2の絵柄P2、及びグラデーション絵柄PGを、綾織パターンとしているが、本発明はこれに限定するものではなく、例えば、図7(A)~(C)に示す変形例のように平織パターンとしても良い。平織とは、カーボン繊維の縦方向の列と横方向の列とを、交互に交差させる織り方である。すなわち、平織パターンは、第1実施形態の綾織パターンにより形成される第1長方形R1及び第2長方形R2(図3参照)を、それぞれほぼ正方形としたものに相当する。
 したがって、図7(A)~(C)に示す変形例では、第1の絵柄P1、第2の絵柄P2、及びグラデーション絵柄PGは、いずれも、第1正方形T1と第2正方形T2とが、それぞれ千鳥配置されたものとなる。第1正方形T1及び第2正方形T2の濃度は、第1実施形態の第1長方形R1及び第2長方形R2の濃度と同様である。
 なお、第1の絵柄P1、第2の絵柄P2、及びグラデーション絵柄PGは、上記第1実施形態で例示した第1長方形R1と第2長方形R2とが組み合わせられたもの、変形例で上げた第1正方形T1と第2正方形T2とが組み合わせられたものに限らず、四角形を組み合わせたパターンであればよい。また、上記第1実施形態及び変形例では、第1の絵柄P1、第2の絵柄P2、及びグラデーション絵柄PGは、無彩色の画像としているが、有彩色の画像としてもよい。
 上記第1実施形態及び変形例では、画像形成層13を画像形成媒体12に形成したうえで、画像形成媒体12をレンチキュラレンズシート11の平坦面11Aに接合しているが、画像形成媒体12を用いずに、レンチキュラレンズシート11の平坦面11Aに直接画像形成層13を形成しても良い。
 以下、本発明の装飾シートの使用形態について説明する。図8は、第1実施形態の装飾シート10を、自動車21の内装品に貼り付けた例を示している。装飾シート10は、画像形成媒体12側が内装品に接触するように貼り付けられる。
 装飾シート10は、例えば、自動車21のステアリングホイール22、ドアパネル23、ダッシュボード24などに貼り付けられる。装飾シート10は、可撓性を有するので、貼り付け箇所の曲面に合わせて湾曲させた状態で貼り付けられている。例えば、図8に示す例では、ダッシュボード24の表面が曲面であり、この曲面形状に合わせて装飾シート10を湾曲させている。図9に示すように、装飾シート10は、レンチキュラレンズシート11と画像形成層13とが一体になって湾曲する。
 [第2実施形態]
 図10は、第1実施形態の装飾シート10をランプシェードとして用いた照明装置31を示す。照明装置31は、装飾シート10、台座32、複数の光源33、各光源33の発光を制御する発光制御部(図示せず)を備える。
 装飾シート10は、シリンドリカルレンズ15の凸形状15Aを外周面側にして円筒状に湾曲されている。湾曲方向は、シリンドリカルレンズ15の長手方向(Y方向)と直交する方向である。装飾シート10は、台座32に支持されている。
 各光源33は、例えば、LED(Light Emitting Diode)からなり、図示しない支柱に支持されている。各光源33は、円筒状の装飾シート10の内部空間に、シリンドリカルレンズ15の長手方向と平行に、所定の間隔を置いて配されている。
 また、本実施形態では、画像形成層13は、レンチキュラレンズシート11の平坦面11Aに直接形成し、画像形成層13の材料として光透過性を有する材料を用いることが好ましい。あるいは、画像形成媒体12として透明樹脂シートを使用し、この透明樹脂シートに、光透過性を有する材料で画像形成層13を形成することが好ましい。
 これにより、各光源33から発光された光は、装飾シート10を通過する際に、シリンドリカルレンズ15の配列方向(装飾シート10の湾曲方向)に拡散してリング状の光となる。照明装置31では、各光源33から装飾シート10を介してリング状の光が発せられるので、装飾性の高い照明光が得られる。

Claims (8)

  1.  凸形状を有するシリンドリカルレンズが複数配列され、前記凸形状とは反対側に平坦面を有するレンチキュラレンズシートと、
     前記平坦面側に設けられ、互いに濃度が反転した第1の絵柄と第2の絵柄とを有する画像形成層であって、前記レンチキュラレンズシートを介して観察する観察方向を変えることによって前記第1の絵柄と前記第2の絵柄とが切り替わる画像形成層とを備え、
     前記画像形成層は、前記シリンドリカルレンズに対応する単位領域内に、帯状に細分化された前記第1及び第2の絵柄を有する第1及び第2の細分化領域と、前記第1及び第2の細分化領域の間に形成された帯状の中間領域とを有する装飾シート。
  2.  前記画像形成層は、前記中間領域によって構成され、前記シリンドリカルレンズの配列方向に濃度が変化したグラデーション絵柄を有する請求項1記載の装飾シート。
  3.  前記第1及び第2の絵柄と、前記グラデーション絵柄とは、複数の形状を組み合わせたパターンにより構成された絵柄である請求項2記載の装飾シート。
  4.  前記形状は、四角形である請求項3記載の装飾シート。
  5.  前記パターンは、綾織パターンである請求項4項記載の装飾シート。
  6.  前記シリンドリカルレンズの配列方向において、前記中間領域の長さが、前記第1の細分化領域の長さ及び前記第2の細分化領域の長さよりも短い請求項1ないし5いずれか1項記載の装飾シート。
  7.  前記レンチキュラレンズシートと前記画像形成層とは、一体に湾曲可能である請求項1ないし6いずれか1項記載の装飾シート。
  8.  請求項1ないし7いずれか1項記載の装飾シートが貼り付けられたことを特徴とする自動車の内装品。
