Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé et un appareil pour la production d'un rondin scié sur quartier et re-scié rectangulaire cible. D'autres sections de rondin basées sur des secteurs pourraient ou peuvent être produites. L'utilisation du procédé permet l'introduction de systèmes associés. Des motifs de sciage et d'usinage appliqués sont définis par rapport à des plans radiaux choisis ou désignés émanant du centre longitudinal du rondin, les lignes de sciage primaires étant décalées par rapport aux plans radiaux et parallèles à ceux-ci. Les découpes parallèles décalées sont effectuées à partir de l'extérieur du rondin à une profondeur choisie ou désignée ou calculée dans le rondin. Un exemple de mode de réalisation de l'invention pour le traitement d'un rondin met en œuvre la réalisation de découpes parallèles décalées de chaque côté de six plans radiaux espacés de manière uniforme de 60 degrés les uns des autres. D'autres découpes peuvent être réalisées à angle droit par rapport aux découpes parallèles décalées, et sur des plans radiaux. Des découpes radiales, si elles sont effectuées, et certaines autres découpes, sont habituellement effectuées après que certaines sections ont été séparées du rondin et retirées de celui-ci. Le procédé est applicable à un petit rondin et à un grand rondin, et assure l'exclusion efficace du bois de cœur à partir de produits cibles et la production de grands volumes de rondins aussi près que possible de véritables sciage sur quartier et de re-sciage. Le procédé permet l'application pratique d'un sciage à effilement dans de petits rondins, maximisant la résistance et la stabilité du produit scié. Le procédé peut commander ou minimiser l'impact néfaste de contraintes de croissance de rondin au cours de la production et de l'utilisation.
